  • Thank YOu! Very Much! XD :-bd

  • All walk cycles seem to be from the side on what about from different angles?

  • Very useful, thank you.

  • Clear and helpful breakdown of a walk cycle. Good enough to forgive the crocks even.

  • 01:47 good stop motion

  • The treadmill video was entertaining and lively but the drawings were soso bad.

  • crocks should be banned from USA it should live in the artic

  • did anyone get put off by the crocks? :D

    crocks haha

  • Thanks man! i am right now making an animation movie. this may help me very much.

  • thanks mr. dude, you make the world a hapier place for me.

  • amazing

  • there is no flow in the animation - its very rigid, needs more bounce, learn to draw first

  • thanks this helped me a lot :D

  • its helps a lot..plzz make also for the move of face

  • Thanks. This helped a lot.

  • THANKYOU SOOOO MUCH!

  • its not hard. It's harder to memorize all that lingo than it is to make a walk cycle. Plus he's left stuff out. The head moves up to it's highest position at high point and drops to it's lowest position at contact. If the head doesn't bob at all it looks very unnatural. It takes 14 drawings to make a really smooth looking walk cycle.

  • Shit this is hard! This guy better not be walking backwards or anything!!! 5 stars for sharing your knowledge.

  • nice. help me a lot. but, could you (the author) or someone else make a video or indicated me one that shows it happening on the "skeleton" or bone of the character? i'm having a little trouble with finding the realistic angles and empiric "trial and error" is being very unproductive

  • you should so get this book:" The animator's survival kit" by Richard Williams. $20 bucks on amazon.

it has great breakdowns similar to what ^ he just did, but almost 400 pages of breakdowns & its the best thing ever.

  • Thanks for the tip, i'm already checking into it. ^^

  • @Flannelpajamasrock Yeah his books amazing. Much better than this bum

  • Nobody walks like that in real-life. Unless they're trying to walk like Vintage Mickey.

  • thanks :)

  • Thanks alot!

  • nice

  • this helped. thanks

  • guy wears crocs? alright guess i can't trust his opinion anymore

  • Wow, that was only rude and stereotypical.

  • this was amazingly helpful. i was in a spot of bother with my walk cycle at teh moment

  • This guys amazing thank you very much.

  • Cheers. Thats the basic key points I've been looking for explained nicely. Thx from London.

  • Awesome video, but i rarely find front walk cycle tutorial... i m trying find one, if u know where i cant find one then pls lemme know... tc,cya

  • Ooh, that may be much harder. xD

Just just the same key points just transpose them to a different angle.

I'm no good at it so that's all I can tell you xD

  • thanks dude! ur awesome!

  • Thanks for the tutorial! Where did you get the animation table? Mine's more diagonal and therefore a bit uncomfortable. That one looks closer to the table, and more easier to work with. Any links to where I could get it?

  • amazingly helpful! Thanks so much, really helped save my grade!

  • the baggy pants were a bad choice...it would have been helpful if you had worn shorts or tighter pants so we could see the position of your legs more clearly.

but thanks for posting this. :)

  • Wow, awesome! I wish I'd found this two weeks ago when I was working on walk cycles in my animation class. Still helpful, though.
