  • And is it bad to run your gocart without a air filter and if you want to see my gocart go to my page it is a 5 hp honda clone it is a 2004 and its beat up so yeah tell me what you think

  • At jimix thx i found the problem i need a new air filter haha mine is shot to shit cuz when i took off the air filter the thing hauled ass haha

  • Hi I have a 5hp gocart and it Is a Honda clone and it seems like all the sudden it's not getting the full power It used to can you tell me why like only a week ago it was fine

  • @gocartkid5150 I would look into making sure the throttle is opening up all the way. Make sure the carb is still on. Just thinking being new maybe it came loose? Just a few ideas to check.

  • i broke the like dislike >:D

  • Lets keep The likes and dislikes even

  • @blevans100 lol, I never noticed that!

  • how much doe one of these cost

  • Did you peal the potato before recording with it ? xD

  • great job man... i myself have reverse trike blue prints in the works for my next project

  • that is awsome dude.

  • @sweetlennyp Thanks!

  • look's cool!! i like the big tires.

  • was this filmed on a gameboy?

  • @DannyBaraco no, it was my old camera way long ago before a mic was invented, lol.

  • @DannyBaraco wtf dude u can't film with a gameboy.

  • @DannyBaraco no, I used an atari

  • wtf

  • @crazyten1 back to you dude?

  • how much did it cost to build? thx

  • @THEyakstR I dont have much into it because I had a lot of the stuff laying around . Maybe $500 including the price of the new 16hp powermax engine.

  • Awesome! My dad and I were gonna do a homemade go-kart about 5 years ago. We had the steering wheel, wheels, and that stuff, but we didn't have a motor! It was so expensive to get a motor so instead we decided to buy one. That one had a stuck throttle & now we got a new, nice one with not a single problem.

  • @racing202 yea its crazy how building something your self can add up to such an expense. The big manufactures can get crazy deals buying engines, tires and such in bulk I guess. Just like those crappy lawn tractors you can get at walmart lowes or any box store. If you wanted just an engine it would be more then half the price as the whole tractor. Then add tranny, tires....How can they sell it so cheap?

  • @xljimmy89 Yeah. But I guess to some people an engine is more valuable than the other parts you need to go with it to make the engine run/work!

  • how menny cc

  • @isaiah7596 420 I think. Its a honda copy 16hp. Based of a gx390 with bigger bore and stroke.

  • Nice! That looks great fun! :D

  • @GerberosHilleri1 It sure is! Thanks

  • to learn how to lubricate a go kart clutch or how to install band brakes go to: go kart clutch lubrication or installing band brakes by: george2011k

  • wow

  • I wanna build something like this sometime to!

  • nice

  • nice go kart. i want to make a go kart to.

  • thats pretty fuckin cool

  • PLZ HELP ME

i made a go kart with full suspention and am throwing a 200cc 4 stroke motor off a dirt bike on it but cant find a way to get the shifter to go through a flexible wire (so it can move with the suspention) plzzzz reply if u have any ideas or vidoes of a solution

  • @boredashellll

Not sure how yours is set up but if you build a linkage near the swing arm pivot you could mount a connecting rod from that to the shifter and another connecting rod up to the shifter lever. You could also get some larger cable like 3/8 or thicker that don't bend real easy and weld a smaller 4"ish section of it in the middle of the control rod. Place it where the swing arm pivot is and it will flex there with suspension travel but be stiff enough to not flex when you shift it.

  • @boredashellll By linkage just a metal tab that pivots on the frame but goes up like 3-4" with a hole on the top to connect the rods too. A piece of steel about 1" by 3/16" thick and 3-4" long. Hope it gives you some ideas. Good luck and would love it see it!

  • @boredashellll put a small shifter for leverage then put 2 wires one upwards to shift up and one downwards to shift down. I made a paddle shifter with that system, by leading the two wires behind the steering wheel.

  • @boredashellll run an overhead suicide shifter that wont be on hte floor or need to go hrough any suspension

  • sprzedam gokarta z silnikiem od wsk 125 za małe pieniądze moje gg20062293

  • atleast urs has shocks. i was thinking about it with mine, but just decided not to.. just more money to be put into it. still urs is nice. =]

  • @sc3n3cor3 Thanks for the kind words!

  • @sc3n3cor3 I bought a used kart a few years back from one of those mini-golf go-kart track places. The kart had no suspension and every time I drove down the street and hit a bump, the thing would pop up a couple of inches. Scary at 30 mph. I almost lost control a couple of times. I won't drive a kart anywhere except smooth concrete if it doesn't have suspension. I would put some type of shock-absorbing mechanism into the design if I were you.

  • so what do u have a 4:1 gear ratio on this one?

  • awesome

  • Get rid of cvt and put a dual clutch in it.

  • @MicroOrginisum When you build yours do it your way. I like the cvt.

  • what do you recommend as a good gear ratio?

  • @CrazyAirsoftKid

It all depends on your hp. If you have 5 horse probably 5:1 or so. If you have more horse you can up that to 4:1 or..... If you want lots of torque for hills but dont care so much on speed you could stay 5:1 but you wont go any faster then a smaller horse machine. Just get there quicker and have lots more torque.

  • its ok but now do a ls1 powered sand rail

  • That would be ok too, but I would be more interested in a rock crawler with a small 4cyl and lots of gearing to crawl over anything. Full cage and lots of articulation.

  • in that case might as well have a UTV lol.

  • @RaptourousIntent Actually I would love to build a mini rock crawling utv.

  • did you ever take it off any sweet jumps?

    *Napolean Dynamite* lol

  • ahahahaha u legend!!!

  • have u got the design plans for this if so could u send me them please ?

  • nice one... we have also selfmade go karts .. if you want to watch ;)... 5 stars

  • nice kart man!! hey were did u got the 16hp from?

  • hickory is the stronges

  • Check out my newer video of it. It has some pictures from beginning to end of build. Plus some newer videos and also a few older ones all put together.

  • VERRY NICE!!!!

  • WOW!

  • awesome cart!

  • Cool machine !!

  • how fast was that if you remember??

  • sick for homemade how fast does that go???

  • what the name and the brand this engine?

  • honda, dude read the description

  • hey man where did you get a cvt that would fit that?

  • Its a comet 40 series clutch. Was original on my manco dingo 8hp.

  • whats the sprocket ratios?

  • sweet kart im making a go kart from wood man im gonna paint it im lucky i know someone who's a pro car painter

  • Cool, be interesting build. Good luck.

  • haha, good luck... you'd wanna make it fucking strong wood...

  • use cedir wood! stongest wood

  • that roll bar seemed vary safe

  • Haha...Ye... sweet roll cage.

  • dude that shit is store made

  • wow dude thats great i build one but as soon

as i try and turn it flips on its side

  • that is damn fast!!

  • how much it take to build this? [not engine, rest though]. Im planning on building one w/ a 2 stroke 80 motor w/ shifter. How long did this take aswell?

  • that things badass but id definitly put a rollcage on it

  • It is a 16hp with cvt and top speed is about 35 because of basically stock gearing.

  • wau esta re bueno

  • if i had to guess, thats a 13hp engine with a CVT. what is the top speed?

  • where is the sound?
