This isn't right. In the video you are clearly pulling with your arms. They bend WAY before you reach full hip extension. Arms should stay straight until you reach extension and then you pull yourself under the bar (where the arms then bend).
Once you reach full extension you should also not "shrug the bar up." This serves no purpose. Once you reach full extension you should pull yourself under the bar which may look like the shoulder shrug.
Great attempt at instruction of clean/power clean but it's a but of swiss cheese. There are things left unexplained and (im not perfect either) your technique is off. I suggest using a clip of an olympic athlete with your narration added. It's a tough job explaining this complex move top anyone. Many basic positions, movements and stabilization techniques are a prerequisite. Keep it up buddy
Your instruction is very good, but the model in the video is lacking in some mechanics. Knees tracking over the bar at the start, and also going severely past the toe on the catch. The purpose of the full clean in this video is not shown, as the bar should not travel up or down during the transition. This was essentially a power clean with a front squat. Very useful information nonetheless!
Many thanks!
