  • Im a security officer in a hospital..honestly i would have taken you to the ground and cuffed you when you wouldn't leave..not only is it a HUGE HIPPA violation..you were trespassing. illegally violating privacy..and impeding emergency vehicles

  • Camera dude is damm Stupid

  • Have some respect for people's job, please.

  • I work security at a hospital also. the camera guy was in the wrong. all that shit is in our training manuals

  • Camera man is a punk ass bitch.

  • "Freedom of the Press" are you fucking crazy? The press has no right to go on hospital property and take photos or video of anything unless permission is given.

There is also no "Freedom of Press" that allows the press on private property.

You can not have someone arrested for blocking you from taking a photo.

I am not sure from the video but it appeared that the "press" touched the security officer if so he could have been arrested for battery.

  • The Hospital Security Officer in this video did an outstanding job keeping his temper and that douchbag away from the hospital property. I hope that HSO has a long and happy career as an HSO!

  • Good job, HSO. At our site, the ambulance bay is set way back from the street, so we can block them at the sidewalk and they can't see shit. But great job keeping your cool.

  • The person that posted this need to be ashamed! The man that is coding on the stretcher is some one son, father, uncle, brother, grandfather,or friend! It was a rude and deplorable act perpetrated hear. Transplant that patient on the stretcher or the people in the hospital, whose life is in danger because that officer is dealing with you! GROW UP!

  • Ever heard of HIPAA? It protects people in hospitals from morons like you and it's up to the "crazy" security to enforce it. Tell me, if you were sick, needed help and were in bad enough shape to need an ambulane would you want some moron shoving a camera in your face, yelling and screaming at the hospital security and preventing EMS from doing their jobs? He should have detained you for disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and criminal tresspassing. Great job by the security! Too nice too.

  • Cameraman: Intentionally blocking Emergency Medical Services from being able to enter the hospital via emergency entrance. Even if you weren't in the way of the ramp entirely, you disturbed the public peace, and I'll mention you violated patient rights, once they are in medical care they are a patient, and the EMT/S screw is medical care, you should be turned into the Dept. of Health and Human Services for violating HIPAA laws.

HSO: Fine job at being professional keep up the good work.

  • Big up to the security guard lets face it you just a bottom feeder that can't get a regular job and even we that watch you guys stuff know that really we shouldn't but that darkside in us sometimes socumb to our ghoulish curiosity hope the guy on the gurney sue you or his family does if he didn't survive

  • You can't videotape patients in an ambulance zone period! This is violating HIPPA rules. Had this happened on a public street, then HIPPA doesn't apply, but once that ambulance hits the Ambulance zone, even photographed from a public street, security or police can ask you to stop filming. Look up HIPPA laws. Plus if you do sue you will lose in court.

  • He can block your camera. You are violating hipaa and patient privacy laws filming people while they are being removed from the ambulance bay. He should have broke your camera and beat your ass.

  • next time taser his ass and bring him into the physch ward they can handle him real well lol

  • What a disrespectful little prick. That person is probably dying and you are selfish enough to disobey the security guard just to get a video of them like that...

  • I used to be an EMT and the guy should have had consent. As a retired EMT and disabled from 911 what i will say is Brookdale's security violates patient rights consistently and on a regular basis. The house staff physicians views the patients as lab rats and treats the local community like they are garbage.

  • @davelovesRealMusic are you an idiot??? He has no right to stand where he was if he was on the ambulance ramp. That's hospital property and he could have blocked an emergency vehicle . The camera man is a tool. His "civil rights" were no where near violated. Also, maybe you should turn spell check on next time you post.

This security officer did a good job blocking this retards camera. I hope this douche gets charged for breaking HIPPA and being an all around douche bag.

  • This camera man should have been smacked!!!!!!!! Who in the hell told him it was ok to film someone getting taken into the ER? Just because it is not illegal dose not mean it is right.

  • 1020buff is the only person here who believes the guard was wrong for doing what he did. This alone truly shows how dumb he is. You cannot film a dieing person for FUN and not have peoploe question your psychological state which has to be shaky at best. And i am a guard at a hospital and cameras arnt allowed for thsi very reason. Im reading my rule book it states. "NO PERSON SHALL HAVE CAMERAS/CAMERA PHONES IN OR AROUND HOSPITAL PROPERTY FOR IT INFRINGIS INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS".

  • This secuirty officer should be commended for responding as quickly as he did. First of all, when people arrive at a Hospital they are protected under HIPPA law and also protected under the Constitution of the United States in regard to privacy. When a person arrives at a hospital they have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Though the constitution does protect freedom of press, that does not give the press to video unauthorized areas. An ER entrance is such a space.

  • WOW I would of arrested this PUNK in an LA second!

  • 1020buff your an ass man let us all know how that lawsuit works for you buddy i did hospital security for a long time and I will tell you, guys like you are the idoits that we had to deal with. guys that think they are lawyers. go get a law degree then then start running your mouth by the way what the hell where you filming that for you like watching guys die maybe you need some help

  • Why the hell was he filming a Victim who is in bad condition. Security did a good job.

  • wow. You're a reject. And a pussy.

  • I smell testotarone!!!

  • An idiot with a camera.

  • as a security guard at a hospital myself, you are violating a number patient rights due to confidentiality. Did that guy on the strecher say you could film him? No, that means you are breaking the law. If a cop were there he would have detained you and had a nice long talk with you about that.

  • @IDriveAFord1284 I agree I work in a hospital. And If That Patient Sees That Video He could sue the perosn for Hippa Violations.

  • In this particular matter, the camera boy needs to be slapped. He's got no respect.

  • your gonna have him arrested for blocking his camera! haha what a moron, please let me know what law states that you can be arrested for blocking a camara shot. Fuckin ass

  • I hope when you or your family member is being rushed to the hospital there is some dickhead like you there filming every second of it. Violation of civil rights my ass! How about having some compassion as a human being and realize there are certain things you don't need to be videotaping and broadcasting.

  • i would of smack dat nigga w/ da camera if i was da guard.security guard doin his job.he need 2 keep it fuckin moving.wanna be cameraman #epicfail

  • Kudos to security.

  • also-- sll of you who BITCHJED "surcirity did a good job" a good job of WHAT--Violating the RIGHTS of people. You are ALL WRong...THIS MAN WAS allowed TO BE WHERE HE WAS. I have tried mysel.f to TAPE being in the hopsital when I had surgery and they MADE ME stop taping. BULLSshxytr. VIOLATION OF CIVIL RIGHTS

  • can you say HIPPA VIOLATION!?

  • you are a total dick head that man is dying and u need the shot?.....wtf you have issues man......would you like that if that was your dad or friend?

  • fuckin wanna be papparazi the dudes dying have some respect you fuckin maggot

  • and u cant record or take pictures of patients. patient confedentiality u fucking camera fag

  • i do security too and if that camera guy pissed me off he would be eating dirt

  • Agreed i am a security supervisor at a hospital in canada. i have two words Patient confidentiality ?? If that was my site, i would have gave him two warnings, then caution him with trespassing. Then if he refused i would have arrested him for trespassing and asault cause in ontario canada if you dont leave when asked to you have comitted a assault .:D its a great system.

  • You are a freakin idiot! Keep it up! Please because eventually you'll be arrested for disorderly conduct! Most people in the world HATE shitheads like you. Congrats to the security. Very professional.

  • ass hole!

  • Hospital security did a excellent job with this turd with a camera. Security should have arrested him for disturbing the peace and battery when he was hit with the camera.

  • @interloper65 Yes the security officer did an excellent job. I could not tell. Did the camera hit the security officer? If so yes he should have been arrested. I arrested a guy for tossing a styrofoam cup at me. I never lost a court case in 30 years.

  • Dude, you are an idiot.. Congrats to the security officer for staying professional and doing his job right. I'd knock that camera man out.

  • Your an idiot. Guard did a good job. Assholes

with cameras. It's called patient privacy.

What if that was your loved one being bagged.

Would you want someone filming them.

  • The only violation I see is a violation of the patients rights its called HIPPA , you media folks are all worried about getting that shot to make a buck , you don't care about the person suffering you dont care about the families involved having their loved ones picture all over the TV in a time of distress. As a former Hospital security Officer and supervisor. The guard did his job and was very professional at it

  • The security guard actually acted polite as far as I'm concerned. As its been said the security guard is a civilian and cant really violate civil rights in the same way the police can. You are an idiot, you can not have him arrested for blocking your shot of the hospital, while you do have the right to video from the public sidewalk he can stand on the hospital property all day long and block your shot. Stop being an idiot and get out of the way so the ambulances can get in.

  • only in ny!

  • There is no reason of expectation of privacy when your in public view. I can stand in the street and videotape my neighbors house all day & nights if i so desire, if i step foot on his property however then thats breaking the law. The security officer was a tad overzealous !!!

  • This is not completely accurate. While I cannot comment on law in New York in Georgia to do what you have just described (even while on your own property) is considered voyeurism and can be prosecuted.

  • you should be arrested and charged for stupidity...the male who was obviously a major trauma patient you caught on camera, family members should sue you for everything you own including that camera. by law you are not suppose to video tape someone without their consent so the security officer, who did an outstanding job, should also sue your ass. you were trespassing because where you were standing is indeed the ambulance bay. further more your so call lawsuit is more like a flawsuit..get a life

  • Are you a legit member of the press? If not then freedom of the press does not apply to you. Also as long as the security officer is on the hospitals private property he most certainly can block your camera. He can't forceably remove the camera from your hands, but he can put whatever he needs to in front of your camera to protect the privacy of the patients/visitors to his property. Nothing he did is a violation of freedom of the press which by the way is civil and not criminal.

  • @1020buff I NEED YUOU--i go to BETHJ ISRAEL wevery week byu ambulanve (I ahve a damaged spinal cord) AND THEY WONT IDENTIFY THEMSELVES--HIPPA AND STATE VIOLATIONS--EVEZRY single worker ands doctor at Beth israle TURNS their ID badges around so you DONT know who they are & when u ASK who they are THEY WONT TELL YOU..against the law--lets make a DOCUMENTary!!!!!!

  • @1020buff let us know how that lawsuit turns out ok ? Perhaps you'd like to provide case details so we can watch the progress ourselves....just in case your "forget" to. I have to agree with the page full of people saying how much of a dick you are. You clearly stepped over the line, trying to hide behind a ragged old paper playing that card. What next, the race of the guard will be your next argument ? Assclown.

  • @1020buff Your gonna claim freedom of the press, let me know how that one holds up in court ya assclown

  • @usa3990 If he was on public sidewalk than he can claim freedom of press.

  • @1020buff you really can't be that stupid. Wow. Sad.

  • @1020buff Your also not allowed to film a person who is possibly dieing. It was about you wrongfully filming a person who is having CPR performed on him and not consenting to it. Why you would want to film that and put it on youtube is beyound me. And he never touched the camera and you filming that poor individual in a horrible time is a violation of his or her freedom and they could have sued you for it. you where wrong, he was right.

  • @likespaintball EXACTLY CORRECT! Well said!

  • @1020buff You are 100% wrong. I worked hospital security for 30 years. You will not win your lawsuit.

You are a fool. I can not believe you are a member of "press." I am also a ex-police officer and an ex-EMT.

What news media do you work for? I also worked security for a radio and television station.

You are so wrong. I could not tell from the video but it looked like you might have touched the security officer. If so you should have been arrested.

  • The guard is right. It may be a public sidewalk, but it is indeed an ambulance bay, as evidenced by the ambulance pulling in. It is in fact to stand where you are when there is an emergency vehicle present or approaching. You would be technically obstructing an emergency vehicle, even though it had already pulled in
