@Markussoll You need to use ascii characters. In batch, they seem different in notepad than in CMD. The codes for the lines are 0179, 0180, 0191 - 0197, 0217, 0218.

You did not code this batch file OP. It it floating around on the NET, and anyone could have created it. All you did was re-code it. Plus 5,000 lines organized in that format is impossible. You need, Notepad++ and a text to image program. Your a script kiddie GrellesLicht28 ....

@K3ystroke Why do you think I didn't? I used Notepad++ and I used a text-to-image-program from the internet for the police officer (for the rest i didn't). In addition, I put a hidden copyright into the file for people who think I did not make the program ;-)

@GrellesLicht28 I believe that you didn't make the program because I've seen Batch Monopoly everywhere, on every forum, even 3 other times on here. Notepad++ would make it easier, but you showed it in notepad, and there is still no legit proof that you made it. Batch files can be tons of things one of which includes, EDITED. Anyone with the source code can put in *REM (C) K3ystroke made Monopoly in Batch*. It's actually quite simple. Why would you hide it?

@K3ystroke I did not show Monopoly in the common Notepad but the text you are supposed to read to be introduced into the video.

I hid a second copyright for the case that other people copy my file and search the source code for my name. If so, they cannot find it as it is encrypted.

How I want to prove that it is mine? Download any Monopoly.bat that looks like mine and find one that does not contain my copyright in it. If you find one, please send it to me so that I can check it.

OMG Making A game in batch file takes a lot longer than any other language because of all the graphics make using letters. This is amazing and must have taken you 1000+ hours!!!! ☺

@Ejay1001 The download link works fine for me. If you want to view the source code in notepad, you have to download the .ZIP-file and extract Monopoly.bat. For some reason, the carriage returns are lost after downloading a batch file from my site and notepad is too bad to handle this.

@Munymuny200 What symbols are you talking about? Most of the symbols can be easily used by using Ascii-codes (001 to 255). If you use "Setlocal EnableDelayedExpansion", then make sure not to use exclamation marks.

@CadetLease I only found a single case in which you will automatically move to another field, in all other cases, the program should make a pause (according to the code and my personal tests). I fixed the same error in multiple cases in the Event-Card-Section.

@infinteXetnifni Downloaded batch files from my site cannot be read by the common notepad for some reason. To view the source code, you may download the ZIP-file and extract Monopoly.bat.

If you have Notepad++, you can view the source code from the batch file in there without downloading the ZIP-file.

And the downloaded game works fine for me on execution...

To your character problem: You need to enter a number between 1 and 4 both of the times. Then it should load in a few secs.

In fact all the batch games ive ever seen are without images...Is it even possible to insert images in a batch file??? If yes then how???

@smatiscool1995 As far as I know, high resolution images like photos cannot be displays in MS-DOS or Batch (even though danooct1 prooved the opposite, but I think it wasn't real).
