  • So which version would you say is overall better? This or SOTN? Because I played the PS version of SOTN and love it!!

  • @outlawstar15a2 It is hard to argue that this isn't the better version. It has everything the Playstation version has plus extra levels and a fully functional third character. I don't know why they stripped stuff out of the PS version. Seems senseless.

  • only sega saturn

  • excellet

  • Wait a minute, this is Symphony of the Night.

  • this is just a new level in the saturn version whats so strange about it?

  • @notthesameman It was strange because at the time i had no idea the game existed on saturn. I thought the game was developed for Playstation.

  • what's so strange about this level?

  • what is that? a pistol?

  • 2:06 Ryu Eat your heart out!

  • is this right? no church song in the selection screen in jap?

  • @dapithapon There is a song. Perhaps you need to turn up your volume?

  • lol 2:06 KAMEEHAMMMEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAA

  • Akumajou Dracula X: Gekka no Yasoukyoku (Saturn)

  • what song was played in the "cursed prison"?

  • I wish alucard had a no sub weapon item crash

  • man i quit fukn wit dat sega enulator shyt sux even if i couldnt get it running at full speed there was like only 2 games i wanted and it wasent worth the fustration lol so i just got apsx emulator

  • Dang, Maria could kill Alucard with ONE PUNCH! So why did she ask him to defeat Richter instead of doing it herself? Anyway wouldn't it be cool if while you are in Maria mode you meet Alucard at the Clock, in a manner similar to the main game.

  • This is how Maria should have been in the PSP version as well. I heard that IGA was working on actually adding this game on Dracula X Chronicles, instead of that original Symphony of the Night. However, I heard that he didn't have time to do so, but it was definitely in his mind.

  • @PsychoticLuke Nah, he said that he felt that the work done in this game with the two new areas, enemies and music just wasn't up to par with the series, and so wasn't worth adding to the PSP .

  • what the fuck , lei gun, chidori, kamehameha?maria is a uchia.sayajin and spiritual detective

  • This is Nocturne in the Moonlight (Symphony of the Night in the US), not Dracula X.

  • @DarkAdonisVyers The problem youre having is that you were born in the 90's and thus were too young to enjoy these games when they were first released in thier original incarnations.

On the sega saturn this game was called dracula x. Dont believe me? You can either look it up or you can look at the title screen which, while most of it is in japanese, there is a huge X thats hard to miss. X as in Dracula X.

  • @Nonsensei436 But wasn't Dracula X Rondo of Blood's Japanese title?

  • @DarkAdonisVyers I imagine that the name for the series in japan was actually dracula x, and whichever games came out would be Dracula X: blah blah blah.

  • @Nonsensei436 No, the series in Japan is called Akumajo (Demon Castle) Dracula.

  • @Nonsensei436 No, the japanese name for the series was Akumajou Dracula. I may have spelt it wrong, but it translates to Demon Castle Dracula.

  • @Nonsensei436 Well, now I know something I didn't know before, thanks dude., I am in LOVE with the CV franchise. I can't get enough.

  • @Nonsensei436 They're both called Akumajou Dracula X, probably to signify they're directly related to each other. Although if anything, SOTN should've technically been called XI or X+1 or something.

  • @DarkAdonisVyers Actually, the japanese counterpart didn't adapt the name Castlevania til Lament of innocence, before it was Akumajo Dracula, and for this, Dracula X, three games were released under Dracula X. Dracula X Rondo of Blood (PCE) Dracula XX (Snes) and Dracula X Nocturne in the Moonlight.

I consider the PSX Symphony and the SAT Nocturne, its too bad the PSP didn't get this Golden version.

  • @0rderSol Some Japanese Castlevania games though still use "Akumajou Dracula" today (case in point: Harmony of Despair uses the Akumajou Dracula label in the JP version).

  • @Nonsensei436 Actually it's "Demons Castle DRACULA X: Nocturne in the Moonlight", so you're both half-right :D

  • @Nonsensei436 No, ya know what? This looks more like a "bootleg/bad translation type shitz" because i know for a complete fact that thi is Nocturne of the moonlight AKA Symphony of the Night and not Dracula X. For 1 dracula X looks nothing like this, the title screen i mean, and another thing this is SOTN because in Dracula X you didnt even have the choice to play as Alucard, HE WASN'T IN THAT GAME! Alucard was in two castlevania games total CV3 and SOTN. oh and the Wii CV fighting game.

  • @Nonsensei436 and i need not look it up, I own all said games (english and Japanese, PSX and Saturn, only jap saturn) and dracula x and rondo of blood(AKA the prequel to SOTN)

  • @Nonsensei436 Nocturne in the Moonlight/Symphony of the Night was meant to be a sequel to Dracula X, and that's why it has Dracula X in the title.

  • @Nonsensei436 Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight.

  • love the saturn version i have 4 saturns and 3 copies of this game just in case one ever breaks in order of the best games i like the saturn one then the psp version then the psx version

  • she looks like link

  • the psx and psp version sucks!

Sega saturn version is still the best!

Maria uses Animals Skills (Key Tapping like Alucards Magic)

Extra Areas (Cursed Prison and Underground Garden)

But these Areas were pointless, thats the reason why psx and psp version isnt avaible....

Maria was "overpowered" in PSX version, you cant play Maria in PSP Version you can play with her, but she is "Underpowered" your destiny is "GAME OVER" with her!

  • @RandyTheZeldaFan i believe you mean the PSX version (short loading times but no maria)

  • @GermanZ5 yeah

  • Holy Shit! I never expected to play as Maria. This looks awesome.

  • can you tell me how to get this to work, I have the bios, the rom and yabause but all i get is a black screen

  • i thought maria was richters cousin because if she was the sister in law wouldnt she retain the last name of her husband? a belmonte

  • No Maria is Richters Sister-in Law.

  • can anyone plz tell me were to find the rom for this plz i've been looking for about 2 weeks and still have found nothing:(

  • Theres a castlevania series collection... just google it ("castlevania collection" will do it)

    PD: its a torrent download

  • the music in the English version seems way better.

  • how does the music sound better?! its the same

  • oh...sorry...i get what you mean! the different music in the entrance only plays with Maria

  • la musica sigue siendo la misma, solo q cuando uno juega con maria o richter suenan otras en el nivel inicial

  • Where do you found the emulator and the game???

  • Erm, why does Maria have an invisible Mega Buster?

  • Cause she's badass like that.

  • It's called magic.

  • i tought that too! maybe marya stole that from megaman >.>

  • Now if only Castlevania wasn't pathetically easy now-and-days, it would actually be funny.

  • Where did you get the game for that emulator

  • man shes just as good and fast as alucard.... her and alucard should fuck and make an Aluria

  • Good one. Then Alucard would probably wonder why she decided to call the baby Marichter.

  • wow man thats so messed up hahahahahahah poor alucard got jacked...

  • Yeah... good thing he has at least the other daughter thatch truly his... Mariacula???

  • ... killed it.

  • didnt they start the lecarde family i mean

    learned/renard= lecarde?

  • I think you mean Alucard/Renard. I believe that is what the mixture of the names was.

  • maria is cool in sotn but i miss her bird trowing and cuteness from Rondo of blood/Portrait of ruin D:

  • whre did you get this rom i can find this at all thanks

  • WEll since you have the emulator on your pc... can I ask you one favor... how'd you get it working mine stucks up after it shows konami so pls help me!!!

  • You need a pretty beasty computer to run it, what are you running?

  • Use the latest version of SSF. Best Sega Saturn Emulator by far. A lot better than this one too. It doesn't stutter.

  • Maria is an otaku. Most of her attacks are seen in other animes.

Rei Gun/Sprit Gun, Chidori, Hyper Beam,... hell, even a Flaming Kamehameha.

  • AUEHAUEHUAHEU,FUNNY =P

  • yep,but the Chidori was maded it AFTER CASTLEVANIA SOTN AND DRACULA X EXISTED XD,in all case was copied from Castlevania

  • @GameDragon2k LOL Castlevania 1997

  • @GameDragon2k was naruto even out when this came out?

  • @LelouchCommandsYou Where do you think they got the idea from?

  • @alantrik if you are saying Naruto came first then sorry to say but that's wrong and there is a 4 year gap. If not then Naruto actually partially came from many other anime such as Dbz. Naruto's overall design is similar to goku's.

  • @alantrik And Dragon Ball actually came one year before this game did in Manga form, which early on already established the Kamehameha. So in truth The Kamehameha has nothing to do with this.

  • wow...charge attack

  • give her a suit of armor and call her samus

  • can you tell me how to configure yabause and also which configuration you have on your computer. thanks a lot.

  • it doesn't run that bad on yours CPU, on my is much worse, too bad that saturn can't be emulated fast Cause Saturn SotN is the best for me

  • you idiot !! its because sega saturn still can't be emulated flawlessly , specialy with yabause

  • No transparency + lots of lag = me bummed out for the saturn version. Glad Richter got an updated sprite in it though.
