The giant is Buddy Baer (6'7"), brother of fellow actor Max Baer (6'4"), father of Max Baer, Jr. (6'5"), best-known as Jethro Bodine on "The Beverly Hillbillies" TV series. The brothers' height and powerful builds got them many roles, both as good guys and bad guys. As for good ol' reliable Morris Ankrum, he's a fellow Illinoisan, born in Danville!
@rephaim23 that screaming chick was having the giant ONE tickle her ! You can imagine what the actress was thinking after having read her part in this scene !
Swell! Morris Ankrum then became a regular in these movies, and was featured in the credits. What would we have done without him?The 1950's saw the best Sci-Fi. Thanks for posting this, it was always one of my favorites. Was the story adapted from a western legend?
These trailers are so cool! The B&W "horror" films from th 50s just can't be beat. I pity those who have been raised in this time of graphic gore! These films took imagination and innocence that have been lost forever to enjoy.
As I was watching this trailer, I caught a familar face. I checked IMDB and it was indeed actress Jolene Brand. She was one of Ernie Kovacs' sidekicks on his various V show. You can YT search her name and view the various Kovacs video featuring her.
Does anyone know of a channel where we can see the old Grade B movies? PLEASE??? If not, somebody please post them on youtube as they are public domain. Thanx a million!!
This was on KOFY-TV 20 here in San Francisco last night ,I can remember as a kid growing up during the 80's and 90's both KOFY-TV 20 and KBHK 44 would show the old horror movies late night on friday and Saturday nights.
I'll be checking this film out in the future! Tom has told me much about this film and the making of process. Come on in and join our gang fellow fans! all are welcome! Cheers!
Grrat horror film this GIANT FROM THE UNKNOWN . This horror film sci fi historian knows great little films like this left their mark. Jack Pierece the great makeup king left a great impression here on the giant,. good effects sets and murder & scenery. Lots of fun. watch this with the lights off. we need gems like this these days. This film is one of my best. catch it youll love it. TOMKES a man who knows horror films

Petrus: My pleasure! I don't believe this came from a actual western legend, but you never know.
