though i was wondering if you could help me. I think it's a glitch or sumthin. In the part where Otacon was supposed to open the door, the door didnt open even if Alert phase was already off. might you know how to solve this?

In Twin Snakes, it is a cutscene from 3:46 onwards, no gameplay.

One thing in Twin Snakes is that the ladders have been replaced with stairwells, the catwalk layout was completely changed up, you can no longer climb over REX.

you know you don't have to use the rations mannualy... if you're just holding them and your health goes all the way down then the rations automatically heal you... well on the psp version anyway

the best way to do it is to throw a chaff grenade and he wont be able to shoot you and you just do that twice and you get to phase 2 were you run behind him and shoot him from behind.

The best way to beat him is to exploit his attack patterns. When at a distance Rex will always fire it's machine guns, followed by missiles in a continuous loop. Dodge the machine gun fire by stepping to the side, fire a missile, and then run to avoid the incoming missiles, repeat as needed. It's best to stay at a distance when fighting Rex, it's easier to hit the Radome and when in close quarters Rex will use it's laser beam which is harder to dodge and it's "Mech-Foot" which is instant death..

if youuse a chaff gernade in this part then run behind him about 5 inchs back on the screen. then fire a stinger, as soon as the stinger goes off use hte chaff again. repeat till dead. on the second part when the cockpit is open use the stun gernade and run between the legs come around,on hte side and fire a stinger, agian repeat till he is dead.

I thought u toss a chaff to take out his target thingy radar then punnel the radar with stingger missles

the second form you have to keep on punneling the cockpit I heard a rumor that you can head shot him with the sniper but I never tried it

let me correct myself....on the electronic rex....u can find a way to target the radome from the bottom as well....as long as u stay towards the back and in between his legs....u should be able to target both rexs chin.....and the radome....

or....u can use the cheap way to do this....and beat rex perfectly by staying in between his legs....what ever u do....and eventually he will stop moving...then u can stinger the hell out of him from the bottom.....this also works on the liquid controlled rex to...unfortunatly the chaff are usefless against the liquid controlled...

just want to let u know that this has been one of the most comical walkthroughs i have ever seen....its been fun walking through this game again with u....the pride u take in killing each individual soldier...just fuckin great...now...rex....the first part of it....hes all electronic....which means u can use the famous chaff gernades u been using this whole time.....for a short while u can knock him offline...and stinger the hell out of him

if this metal gear is pc version can you tell me where did you downloaded it? beacause it's the second time I have ametal gear pc with an error my first was in psycho mantis... in a cut-scene during the fight the game crashed in this version I downloaded recently the door doesn't open!

my metal gear solid for pc has an error in this part when I input the last pal key and it begins the gas thing octacon is supposed to open the there there is the cut-scene where the door opens (like in 4:44) but there is a diffrence MY DOOR DOESN'T OPEN!! :| I contact everyone and they just say hurry up but the door won't open
