I always thought this was one of the more touching stories Stephen King ever wrote. Basically, the doomed boy and miserable writer know they were meant to be father and son, but fate either wasn't paying attention or screwed them. Once the word processor is in the picture, everything can be set right. Very heart warming ending to it, unlike some of his other stuff. I can take his characters going insane or being feasted upon by critters as long as a few turn out like this.
