  • How long is this flight bro from Savannah to Atlanta?

  • @chadastanley Hey sorry for late reply. I believe I tell you that in the vid toward the end. You may may have fallen asleep before you got that far lol . . . but thanks for your interest my bro.

That was in the good old days, and the flight cost me a whopping $39 bucks or so. I don't think that will be coming back. SAV is a great airport. And I wish we could get some commuters to fly back and forth around Georgia for cheap. I would love to start that up myself.

  • @gooberon Ha ha Thanks bro ham! ; )

  • The spool up can seriously give you a boner!

  • Nice - Savannah is my hometown but I know live in San Francisco.

  • i miss sav i hope airtran will bring them back

  • @tyler2010us - I believe that is 28F. Great seat

  • I love when people that have no clue about flying will say oh here we go full power, learn the facts before you make a statement like that. planes rareley ever go full power!

  • dude i dont need play by play on a take off im pretty sure that the people watching this know wtf were watching lol.. other than that its not half bad

  • Maybe it would have better if I had shut up. That's an ugly term. Maybe the world would be better if none of us spoke. Ever. Maybe you should try that. : ) But alas, we do. You see, I make these for myself, and my kids, and my friends, and so I can remember certain events. Would you like to post your own videos? Then I can comment on your work? Thanks for exercising 1st Amend. rights in the USA. Remember those who died to give you that freedom. Your didn't earn it yourself.

  • Apology accepted. You've just proven yourself to be person of courage, able to face reality and mistakes. And learn. I like it !! I know my hillbilly redneck voice gets on some people's nerves. Wish I could change it. But at least I can write without offending half the world. Maybe. : ) Thanks again for your comment, anyway. Freedom of expression: how much money could you place on the right to say whatever you want, good or bad, positive or negative? Is there an amount?

  • Ya full power!!!!!!

  • it'd be better without commentary

  • @grassroot3 Am I really replying to a comment from two years ago lol ? Well grass square root, I'd say your're probably right; but I talk so my kids can watch and know what is going on . . yep, I sound like a goober. Hence the name! Can't seem to change my voice, so take up with the Good Lord! Have a blessed day everyone

  • they told me to turn off my camera lol

  • I wonder why all airlines ask to turn off a camera during take offs and landings. There is no risk of interference like in case of a cell phone.

  • i dont know but they got on me about it and i waited for them to leave so i can turn it back on lol

  • They ask you to because in case of an emergency they dont want you to be distracted . They want you to be fully aware of your surroundings.

  • @darthirakli I am guessing security

  • Im leaving for Orlando woth Air tran on August 15th,its gonna be a fun take-off,its a 6,000 ft runway and the airport sits at 1,000 feet above Charleston WV down in the Valley,im goin to post a video of it taking off and landing at both Orlando and Charleston, when the 717 rotates and gets positive climb you shoot over the hill when your 50ft above the runway it scares the crap out of you.Great airline though I love the 717 sound

  • i heard the new 737 is really quiet. any truth to this? i hope not i like the sound of the engines

  • really steep takeoff

  • some good commentary and some good knowledge there

  • Savannah to Atlanta? How long were you in the air like 15-20 minutes?

  • About 40 min takeoff to touchdown. Total flight time 39 minutes advertised.

  • Oh god haha I had the same window but in the left side of the plane I think I got a vid of it.. but we were landing! Really loud

  • @gooberon Do you know what your cruising alt. was? Or did you make it to 33,000 feet?

  • @Kk26995 Chief I don't remember. That's been awhile back, 07 I think. We didn't have much time to cruise after we topped out, then powered back to descend. The 717 is a great aircraft. I really miss those Air Tran flights into SAV. $39 was hard to beat . . .

  • @gooberon Wow! $30! That's cheap! Also, yes, I just recently flew a 717 Airtran in May, to Orlando. It was awesome, I love the sound of, when the engines power up, and reverse thrust..

  • @gooberon 39$ Dat's cheap.I Flew wit AirTran Last minute coast me 500 Sumthin dollar's 4 me & my sis.& That Flight Was From Tampa,FL To Pittsburgh,PA.Round Trip 2.

  • what seat were you in?

  • I believe it was 28F. There were about 3-4 rows behind me, and then the lavatory. I thought it was a great seat because I love to hear the turbines.

  • I'll give you the link to it we were landing in Orlando

  • I think someone or maybe me oneday needs to record a flight from Savannah to Atl and watch how quick the flight is...

  • ive flown 5 times and I always seem to get stuck by the engine!

  • i don't mind that on the 717, but onthe md-80 series or the dc9, IT KILLS!

  • the tristar roar lives!!!

  • OMGSH THAT really does sound like the TriSatr!!! LOL! I miss that bird!

  • i flew airtran from dayton to atl and from atl to tampa. good airline

  • Pilot didn't power back too early - it's usually 60-90 seconds after autothrottle sets TO power - you dumbasses

  • that pilot was in arush to get out huh.

  • the pilot powered back way to early

  • dont talk next time

  • yeah

  • much better if he didn't feel the need to talk the entire time

  • i do love the sound

  • me too

  • Listen to those engines howl....I love airtran.....I flew them from mco to atl, then to ict in august 2008

  • to the dumbass response below mine....the sound isnt as bad as it seems

  • x2... some people enjoy that sound. Like me.

  • How could you stand sitting right next to the engine like that? I could barely stand it just watching the video.

  • next time dont talk we dont care

  • @airtranair678 - But I like to talk . . . lol.

  • @gooberon Thank you for the tour of the Savannah industrial area. =)

  • @gooberon you can talk all you want u flimed this

  • @gooberon You can talk all you want hey will you ever flim another airtran video its been 3yrs

  • @airtranair678 lol its his video, he can talk if he wants! IDIOTS

  • check out my landing vid and comment also im just like you

  • what seat were you in? Nice video

  • ok thats cool i need help im going to washington on one of those is there any tvs ?and does ur ears pop thats what im mostly afraid of i know its stupied but ive never gone on one since i was 1 month so can some one help me mail me

  • There are no TVs on these. Your ears don't normally pop for me.

  • one thing i like about the 717s is they are so quiet compared to the 737s

  • Why are the wings so far back?

  • Atlanta is just a short hop across the state. I am amazed you was't on a CRJ-700.

  • airtran only operates 717's and 737's. im not sure if the still use their airbuses

  • They do not use their A320s anymore, or their DC-9-32s from ValuJet.

  • "Listen to the sound of the Boeing 717"

And the commentary was just as splendid! very good video. A 9 on 10 for not shaking the hand while recording.

And clearly, you know your town really well! :-P
