If any of you have seen a fish called a 'ghost knife' it's a common enough fresh water tank fish bu the way it glides through water reminds me kind of how these things seem to (of course much faster) glide through the air. Either way these things are very interesting. i haven't heard a good argument against them yet. Interesting whatever they are

the answer was that it's a camera phenomenon but that doesn't explain the video that shows rods flying into the water under from above. that one is still a question to me.

So its obvious that you already know that film cameras take a single frame, and digital cameras take multiple exposures in the time the shutter is open, merging them into a single exposure, hence the sudden appearance of 'rods', but you knew that of course!

most of them are bugs, if you were able to see them on a high spped camera you would see that its a bug. depends on distance lighting and other stuff.

They have proven that these aren't bugs,moths or any insect.The movement of these "Rods" can not be replicated by bugs/insects.Some of the locations these images are captured,exclude bugs/insects entirely,or if there was a bug/insect that could even move in this fashion,it couldn't be or even exist in this many parts of the world.They are real ! One explanation is that they are a prehistoric creature

of some kind, not identified yet.

If you ever see these in high speed you will be able to tell that they are bugs, or something eles. A rod if a stupid thing that someone devided to make up. They had something on either the discovery channel or national geographic channel that said that rods are all fake, and it just something oving so fats that normal camera can't make it look like a bug (or whatever else it is). They arre not real, its stupid to believe that something like this is real, I don't know why you do. They are fake.

It can be seen without the camera eye. From a show i've watched, they found these prehistoric drawings of what appears to be rods. And they mentioned that the people of that time has very keen eyesight. Oh well, whatever it is, its nothing ot be scared of... well, for now at least
