@lass1234 aren't there a lot of people who speak both? anyway this happens a lot in wong kar wai's movies and it is intentional...and furthermore, he's chinese, i'm positive he appreciates the difference. also these movies are for a chinese audience, do you think they wouldn't notice? lol he does it for artistic reasons.

@lass1234 maybe in your case it's true, but for A LOT of people who know both languages, including myself, it's absolutely do-able and have done so in real life. Despite it's not mutually understandable, they do have the same written language, it's not that far fetch.
