  • lol ... how can you even come up with something like that :D

  • Tethtoril can take like 50 Drizzts with his damn lightning bolt spell. I would know, I tried it

  • @MegaLipid According to the manual it's the gods who are intervening on his (Tethtoril's) behalf. It is possible to kill him when you return to Candlekeep later in the game.

  • @Vidrinskas Why would the gods be intervening for Tethtoril? He's like a third-string plot character

  • @MegaLipid I really don't know. Maybe it's a Forgotten Realms lore thing (of which I have little knowledge). Maybe Bio just put it in so you couldn't kill him in the prologue.

  • not bad dude not bad at all

(Never thought it will be posible)

  • Even Hull came after you... That guy was too lazy to even grab a longsword from the barracks!

  • Ahhh this brings back memories. Such a legendary game :)

  • lucky charm!

  • whats the point

  • I like the little parade the town is having behind you after you kill him.

  • fighting gorion is a very good way to get easy, easy experience before leaving candlekeep. charm him, then go to the inn. once you sleep, he will be unable to cast spells. then you just steadily hit him and go back inside to rest. he has about 350 HPand hes worth 4000 exp. then you just import your character and your reputation resets!! killing everybody in candlekeep is worth it. Firebead is worth 2700 exp and there are several worth 900. just dont try attacking tethroil. trust me

  • @AlexLoeher Can you kill the glitchy singers?

  • @Owneador1337 yes you can kill every single person in Candlekeep except tethroil (i think). the singers are worth about 175 each if im not mistaken. Using Gorion as a meat shield, you can kill everyone as a level 1 mage. Just stay away from tethroil, he automatically kills you. i think the game made him invulnerable because he's integral to the plot, but allowed for the Gorion loophole because he actually gets killed later. just my theory though

  • @AlexLoeher But can you advance in the plot if you kill Gorion? I mean, I just played that part twice and I REALLY felt like killing off the singers.

  • @Owneador1337 No, thats why i said to export your character. it would be very hard to get away with killing anyone and still getting to leave candlekeep. All you do is do whatever misdeeds you want, (also recommend going to the gatewarden and grab your temporary partner's stuff) and exporting it. You retain ALL experience, items, level, ect. but your reputation resets to whatever your alignment is and its like you never did anything

  • @AlexLoeher Oh yeah, my bad. Didn't re-read :P.

BG's and the old Fallout's (and PS: Torment, I think) are full of little cool exploits like that :P. Not to mention all the quests you can complete, then kill the NPC, and recover the item you brought to him/her with no loss of reputation and right in front of a few guards.

  • @Owneador1337 yes all fantastic games, though this one is probably my favorite game of all time. i thought i was the only person who knew about this,(because i found it while goofing around) but thats the internet for ya. i must have searched almost every square inch of the map, killed drizzit, had 20 magic missiles, found firebead again and killed an immortal demon. great game

  • @AlexLoeher Lol, great job then!

My favourite (of this genre) are Planescape Torment, BG1 and BG2, in that order; and I find Fallout 1&2 to be the "weakest links" here. Though cool skills and such, the characters that get to go with you are pretty flat.

  • wow, this looks so much better than diablo 1... and yet so much less popular...

  • Made me laugh

  • shit, when he said "our rules are very strict" nostalgia'd hard

  • Yeah. Still a great game, even today.

  • omg! lol. you got old t to kill gorion. i got a kick out of that

  • LOL. poor gorion. so if tethtorils so powerful, why doesnt go to sarevok when hes right outside candlekeep and one hit him like that?

  • He's probably like Elminster ie a bottler.

  • bottler? im lost. lol.

  • Someone who loses their nerve under pressure or at times of stress.

  • ah. that makes perfect sense.

my first assumption was that it was an elderly person afflicted with alzheimers...

  • how is elm a bottler? i never really liked him, but he's kind of a bad ass.

  • @neirfane Just the way he doesn't get involved. I know he's not supposed to but then why bother pestering you lol. Just a throwaway comment really.

  • @Vidrinskas yeah. i always wanted to fight him.

  • And why didn't they use phoenix down on Aerith...

Ah, btw, that lightning is not his - it comes from a protection granted by Mystra. Or so I remember, I think.

  • Because phoenix down cures KO and not death.

  • She looked pretty KOd to me.

  • can you exit from candlekeep then xD?

  • Not without cheating - see posts below...

  • Lol, i see.

How funny is this anyway :D

I love BG saga, i finished in all possible ways

  • Yeah fantastic series. Yet to see a game that comes even close for replayability.

  • No one like BG..

i played another RGPS.. but, no one lik this one T_T

    I love it.

  • Gorion got pwned by a lvl 1 spell..Then you get yer ass kicked for makin your friend kill your foster father x3

  • ive killed gorion in one spell before :)

  • sooo, what did the scroll say?Learn any secrets?

  • The scroll is just the same one that Gorion has in his possession when he is killed by Sarevok.

  • Lol!

    Guard: Our rules....are very strict!

  • LMAO tethoril killed gorion instantly

  • hah nice job man

  • lol your like killing h

  • Well, just realize, Gorion- one of the best wizards in the game charmed with level one spell xD

  • Well done =D

  • OMG :D

  • Yeah but there's not much point in staying alive since the game is knackered. Hmmm...wonder what would happen if you cheated yourself to another area?

  • Well, charm Sarevok and he would kill whole the band xD

  • the game would crash bc you havent set off the journey dialogue trigger and getting to the first outside area nothing would happen or it would crash.

  • Well I tried it and basically the game never gets out of the prologue. Sarevok doesn't appear and arriving at Nashkel doesn't advance you to Chap 2, nor does completing the mines. So you can never get to the bandit camp or beyond.

  • interesting... One thing I noticed about your vid though, is how crappy the graphics and interface look. Im now playing BG1 with the "easy tutu" mod. Wow, it really breathes new life into the game. It basically allows you to play BG1 with BG2s engine = higher resolution, I play at 1024X768, and allows for character banter, and weapons + armor and everything else that BG2 has. An amazing mod

  • Yes, I've played it. An excellent mod and a great achievement. Some of the kits available are a bit game unbalancing though but I suppose you can always counter this with other mods. Sometimes I just prefer to play the original :) (and I'm not sure that this method of killing Gorion works with Tutu).

  • Have you tried spawning Sarevok and Gorion in the area of Gorion's death to see if it works?

  • Nope, not tried that. I haven't got the vanilla game installed at the moment. I doubt if it would trigger chapter 1 though.

  • yeah but you still die in the end...
