Lynx and bobcats (or North American wildcats) are different. Lynx are larger. Google the two species and you will see it for yourself from reliable sources than listening to bunch of 12 yrs olds here who watch Discovery channel for kids. By the way, this fight was soooo set up...one must be retarded not to notice it.
@Misaxish Also.. yea this was a forced fight.. not to mention the editing is terrible.. if you pause it at 0:49 you can see the "paw" is actually a fake paw on a stick they are using to poke the fox. then they cut to a close up of the cats face and it looks like a porn
@Misaxish No, it is a bobcat, which is a subspecies of the Lynx lineage. Okay, I guess it is a lynx. But when the title says Lynx - you imagine a canadian or eurasian lynx - not a bobcat.
Watch the paw that the fox is biting and you'll immediately see it's fake. A fox stands no chance against a feline. I've seen house cats beat the crap out of a fox, let alone a bobcat.
@klivvervision Yes, cruelty right? But without people to find out they are being forced. Look at the camera angles at the time they fight. Specially at 0:49
@robertito8888 that's why you gotta look for authenticity cues like the creatures appearing comfortable prior to encountering each other, the fighting appearing to be caused by each other's presence, and inevitably either backing down from a fight, or one eating the other, and not likely anything in between.
@silvermoonorca They aren't the same, they are distinct cousins, bobcats are much smaller the a lynx but faster and more agile. So shut your dumbass mouth and go suck your dads dick.
@Jacey521 As I explained to someone else on here, and you can easily procure this knowledge yourself, they are the same thing. Lynx is the genus and Bobcat is a species of Lynx that is found in North America. I like how you are so aggressively putting people down when your information is incorrect. You are correct that Bobcats are usually smaller, but they are the smaller of all the Lynx.
@silvermoonorca Pardon Mr. Wikipedia? You have to be reminded that the "lynx" we're pertaining here is the subspecies, so a bobcat is not a lynx IDIOT. It's like an alligator is a crocodilian, but not a crocodile: A bobcat is a lynx, but not a (Eurasian, Canadian nor Iberian) lynx. Get it dummy?
ALLLLLLLLLLL OF YOU ARE FUCKING IDIOTS!IT IS A FUCKING FOX!THERE IS DIFFERENT SPECIES OF FOX!NOT JUST A RED FOX!IT WAS A KIT VS A FUCKING BOBCAT,LISTEN TO THE FUCKING VIDEO YOU FUCKING BITCHES I JUST WANNa FUCKING KNOCK ALL YOUR FUCKING TEETH IN!Bitches.
why do ppl expect animals to kill eahc other all the time even if the bob cat would have killed the fox easly it didint cus he/she whas not so hungry or didint whant to risk a little injury .
Bobcat is a lynx too...this species is a lynx rufus...and bobcat is a colloquially, not scientific name only in american language....But you're right...lynx is in Europe and Asia. And it was american lynx rufus. By the way...this fox was different than foxes in Europe...that is biology :-)
@spirithawk5 I used to see this show and turn it off because Marty Stouffer would often talk out of his derriere, so this might very well be a Lynx. However, it does look like a Bobcat to me as well.
@spirithawk5 A bobcat is one of the four species of lynx, they're called so in America and England, but it's actually one of the four species: red lynx (bobcat), canadian lynx, eurasian lynx and iberian lynx. In northamerica both bobcats and canadian lynx can coexist in some areas.
@walkertexasranger33 Hey, bigger noob, it's not the same thing. Get your facts in order before you knock on others. Lynxes are native to the norhtern Asian parts, while bobcats only inhabit Canada and the USA. Oh, by the way, online WoW insults do not work in real life. Of course, since you don't have a real life, it's not surprising you'd use it. Not the same thing, moron.
@Riverweasel09 they are called lynx in canada as well. and NOOB is way more then a WoW insult and originated way before it... youre such a scrub for even saying that.
@beaversaysnaruxhina You are obviously not a teacher. The Bobcat is of the Lynx genus species. They are one in the same. A Bobcat is just one of the Lynx species that live in North America.
@nblucas07 lol you obviously don't understand the big words your reading, the difference between a lynx and a bobcat is like the difference between a Husky and a German Sheppard, sure they are both big dogs, but they are still different. Your comment just proves my earlier comment about them being close cousins.
@beaversaysnaruxhina You're wrong. If you want to compare, the difference between a lynx and a bobcat is the same difference between a dog and a husky. A bobcat is a lynx. Period. That is science you can't dispute. It is fact. There are four living types of lynx and one is a bobcat. YOU stated they are different. A bobcat is different from a Canadian lynx, but they are both lynx none the less. I like how you insult my intelligence by saying "your reading" instead of You're reading". Ha, Irony!
@beaversaysnaruxhina And to address your comment about understanding the words I'm reading. If you are implying I was reading as I am responding, you are wrong. If you are implying I read that some where at some point in time, you are correct. It's called learning. We read, we feel, we witness, we smell, we hear, we LISTEN. That is how one obtains knowledge. Try it.
@nblucas07 just because you read something doesn't mean you learned something, but yes you are correct my mistake, a bobcat is a type of lynx but when someone refers to a lynx, they mean a north american lynx, this however is a bobcat, and they do have different dna, even though they are part of the same species. My point being, if its not called a lynx, don't call it a lynx! :P
@beaversaysnaruxhina That I can agree with. This is a bobcat, and the other actually have Lynx in the name so it is something easy to differentiate and should be so. I also agree that just because it is read, doesn't mean it is legit. The key to learning is to learn from founded and legitimate sources. Hey, what do you know, we came to an agreeance. That rarely happens on youtube!
Exactly, a bobcat can take a coyote (one, not a pack) with no problem. Don't foxes hunt in a pack also? Those animals probably came from someone's backyard pen. I know from experience that there are people who raise bobcats and foxes in pens that are 5 feet apart. Wild animals don't give up that easily.
