Intersting Fact: The beatles wrote FOUR versions of Revoloution: this one, Revoloution 1, Revouloution 9 and the last one was never submitted int oan ablum, but has been heard on recordings many times.
Artists always see the future first...it seemed (back then) like the world was really changing...but the corporations and the elites eventually won anyway.
@harry112174 It's pretty hard to enjoy it with you complaining all the time. First you say you hate Stereo, and then you say you hate The Beatles! If you hate the Beatles than don't listen to them! It's that simple
@Jakska74 Again, they RECORDED their music in mono up until Abbey Road. On certain occasions, they were distributed in America as stereo. But most importantly, they recorded their music in MONO. Look it up. Either way, The Beatles are The Beatles, mono or stereo.
wow this is really really awesome, i didn't know what to expect but this remaster is BURSTING with energy!! MMM it just makes me want to buy the remastered version now!
@Jakska74 Sorry, but The Beatles recorded nearly all of their discography on mono and preferred it as well, especially on Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. I don't knock stereo, but I felt that I should put this out there that mono is really the way The Beatles wanted to be heard.
@halo3fan18 The stereo versions of LPs & 45s were mixed by George Martin in a mere 2 hours or so...and he was in studio alone...when time came for mono remixing he & all 4 Beatles were in studio & the work took up to 2 weeks to do. Proof that the gang preferreed mono at the time..
In this interview, John Lennon himself describes the mono recordings as the way the songs were made, and he calls this version of Revolution "Like a piece of ice cream." I know your comment is a year old, but I can't bring myself to ignore it any longer. ;p
@Jakska74 The way it was meant to be was mono. Only Abbey Road was intended as a stereo release and I think Let it Be as well, but I am not sure about the latter.
I love the guitar riff at the beginning! <3 <3 <3 5 stars for The Beatles!!!

The distorted guitar tone was achieved by plugging the guitar directly into the mixing desk and overloading the input gain.
