They still got it and I love the song. Tim makes a big difference thoug.h Funny, when I was in Hawaii years ago, nobody wanted to play it, Probably not good enough
Lynn Anderson was a big deal back in the day..Does anyone remember she was the country singer on the Lawrence Welk Show before she hit big. Tim and Paul shared vocal on the original. Saw them open in 1976 for Stills-Young at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena..The definitely miss Tim's vocal harmony, but I guess that's why he's an Eagle!
But he sang some of it--harmony and parts of some section on the original, I was pretty sure. True? On a live version here that's from back when he was with them (the 3 minute one), he sang the high parts.
though I did buy a shirt that whose size wasn't available...and got a nice note from Rusty thanking me...and a Pic....love you guys always...Rose used to be the first song on my Stereo anytime I moved...and I set up my Stereo first...that's how important that song is to me...so sorry I said it sucked....love you guys...
I'm sorry...I love POCO...but I saw them do this last Friday night...and it sucked...I saw them do this in '78 warming up for the Stills/Young band in Philly and they killed it with Timmy...and George...now with that said...after half way through their set they picked it up (Magnolia...Crazy Love...Heart of the Night...Keep on Trying..even a little Pickin up the Pieces)...and they finished with "Good Feelin"....gotta love that
to mungous, either you're very young or you've been under a rock the last 40 years. Lynn Anderson is a country music legend ... she was probably THE biggest country star of the 1970s ... lots of hits. Even NON-country fans know her signature song, "I Never Promised You Rose Garden" ... the biggest selling recording by a female country singer fm 1971 - 1995, when Shania Twain broke Lynn's "record".
@mungous1000 Uh, she was only one of the most popular and successful female country singers throughout the '70s and early '80s ... 11 #1 records, including her worldwide mega hit "(I Never Promised You a) Rose Garden".
Sorry. I guess listenting to country music is a bit like listening to only FOX news for your "news" information.
I never really was a country music guy, and while I do remember her doing Rose Garden, that was the only time she really penetrated my world. Of course, I had heard of her, but barely. Don't take my comments so seriously. I certainly don't. I do think the first person is stretching it a bit about her being the # 1 country star of the 70's though. Even I know that is not true
hey, i love Poco as much as the next guy, but i expect it was a pretty big thrill for them to have a music legend like Lynn Anderson joining 'em on stage. From the sound of the crowd, they thought it was a pretty big deal, too. : )
Huh? What was that? Hardly recognizable.

Saw them Friday and they were so tight and amazing. Not just a band, but perfection, just like the song.
