  • Lol, love the ending, "So, er, yeah, good luck with that..."

  • Kinda harsh on people who you know... have jobs and stuff...

  • Sure the time periods tiny but it's just impractical for anyone except for students on summer vacation. If you hurry and try to rush your writing to be finished it wont be AS good as normal so I would only recommend this as a LAST RESORT. If your having trouble meeting your deadline just ask your publishers to extend the date for you. Chances are they'll see tht if they tryn rush you the writings will suffer and so it's in their best interests not to.

  • "so.....good luck with that!"

  • In 28 Days!?!?! WHAAA? Wow, it takes me forever to write books. I mostly write poetry though, and I'm proud of what I've got =D

  • basically a summer project =)

  • FUCK MAN YOU GET AN IDEA AND START WRITING. NIGGER YOU ACTUALLY NEED TO FOCUS A WEEK TO FUCKING GET AN IDEA? MAN THAT MUST SUCK YOU YOU

  • @zuperzie Are you OK??? You didn't place a comma after nigger.

  • problem I have is that I dont really know how to put the words down onto paper or computer etc. Like, I don't know how to word it etc. First person and third person have me all mixed up and I also don't know how detailed to be or how slow or fast to make certain actions/scenes of the story. She never talks about that.

  • @Brittani752 you probably shouldn't writer then cause apparently you cant do anything a good author has to do lol

  • @TrevorsIRLvlogs hahaha are you a writer ?

  • @TrevorsIRLvlogs Yeah because they either were taught or they read a lot to where they pick up what other people do. I was being weird 6 days ago lol. I was overthinking things. Btw, you don't just tell people they shouldn't be a writer merely because they were confused about certain things. If they want to be a writer then they can go for it. Anyone can write if they can just get their thoughts down on paper for the reader to comprehend whats going on. Thats the basic concept.

  • it actually takes her 31 days

  • her head is to small for her neck

  • why 28days exactly??

  • It's a very interesting thing... I think i did waste my time... Jezz... But writing is awesome anyways...

  • i eat books i guess.. I read books of 700 hundred pages big books or more in less than 4 days... I love reading.... But writing a books is not as simple as reading it... Why because I have start 4 and you know what ladyyyy!! I'm stuck... I still got the ideas fine.. but when i start i dont even know what to type.... Writing a good book takes some time... since you have to be aware of some facts, the story should be clear, the problem present always, not boring.. characters should be develope!

  • 28 days later:

    Zombies roaming around.

    I'm in London

    No book written

  • i want to write a book in 1 week. wtf

  • Strange that you've actually got the time to write the book. The question isn't: Is it possible? But th question is: Have you got a social life?

  • @rk1408 If you wanted to really write a book, or if you work for a publisher and have a deadline, you would sacrifice your social life for a month in order to meet that deadline.

  • 28 days? LOL....

ever since elemantry, all others spend 2+ years on writing a book.

  • I believe writting a book, at least for the start, is when you feel inspired. No awful schedule like this.

  • Thank you very much.

  • I once dated a vampire........She really sucked!!

  • She must be a vampire and never sleep.

  • Yeah right a week to write, It took my friend six years to write his.

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahaa

  • See that big thick book sitting on the table behind her? She wrote that in 28 minutes while sitting on the can this morning. That's where I do all my writing too. Lap top battery keeps your bare knees all roasty toasty too.

  • why 28 days?? i would rather write it in 29 1/2 days

  • have you even written a book??

  • yeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaa you are soo funny and enthusiastic

  • Easier said than done.. o.o

  • I love this kind of a challenge. At the moment writing my own novel has taken a bit more time than that, but it's definitely an awesome idea.

  • It's possible to write a novella in 28 days... but not a full-length novel.

  • Thnx, will give it a shot. Many good things

  • thanks!

  • lol pause at 0:11...look at her face!

  • lets see you do it now.

  • "so...good luck with that..." OC Took my thought lol

  • I write for a living and get paid daily.

  • @vee1477 How much? Are you a journalist. If you wrote a book what is it?

  • It's kind of stupid to be limited by days. A good book have to be written down carefully and slowly, so you express yourself exactly like you wanted to. In my case, i wrote a 40,000 words novel in 28 days, but it depends on the book and the author.

  • @0015bruno Agreed. I think you should put strict limits on yourself, but I don't think there should be a certain amount of days.

  • @0015bruno so your book must be like 200 ish pages in total right? can i ask did you ever get it published, please tell me.

  • Why write a book in 28 days?

    I don't see the reason.

  • One word Nanowrimo.

  • Yeah! NaNoWriMo!

  • @KunkoFilms2 she already gave me one

  • @KunkoFilms2 damn thats funny dude!!!

    5*****

  • @TheDarkKreig lots of people can read a book in a day, although if they have to give suggestions on improvements that is different.

  • She needs to learn what a week is. her first "week" is 10 days, her second "week" is 6 days and she needs to lern the diffrence between 28 and 31.

  • this is a load of crap lol... how about she try it haha :)

  • anyone could write a book in twenty eight days, but it would be terrible. also let your ideas flow. dont plan everything out ahead of time. only chapters about 1-5 should be well thought out and completley done in your mind. the rest should just come to you.

  • You can write a book in 28 days...

    If you're Stephenie Meyer. *cough*

  • I have been writing since I was little and currently writing a fanatsy novel. I've been working on it for half a year now. I usually skip planning and just let it all flow then rewrite it. Even if I spend hours a day writing whether it'd be in a notebook or a computer and having skipped planning this would be impossible for a larger sized book. What kind of book what this be for anyway?

  • uhhh..... What's the rush?

  • no offence but im writting a book and it pretty much imposable to do most of thoes things , the notes thing maby but nothing else. 1 you wont be able to write the while book in 1 week or rewrite it . 2nd no one will read ur book in one day unless its like 50 pages so ya just what i thik

  • cool. but i don't wanna write a book in 28 days. soo,.jussst sayin

  • @confusedimigrant Yeah? I've read 300-400 pages books in a night. Don't appreciate your attitude, but you've the right to dissent, of course.

  • @Cstrife234

soory if you felt that way i didnt mean to be disrespectful.i was being(or atleast trying to be) funny.

as far as reading the book overnight goes,i think it depends on your speed and the type of book you are studying.i challenge you to finish any of salman rushdies fantasy fiction in one night.its just not possible.plus if you are a regular reader then that helps to improve your speed aswell.

  • What the hell is she talking about? is she a writer? you cannot a write a 500 pages book in 28 days, it's impossible. First of all, you cannot write all the time. You need to relax. You need to go outside, breathe the fresh air. You must talk with other people. Writing a book is not a walk in the park. You have to revise it every time you've doubts! it's not so easy. This woman has no idea what is she talking about!

  • WRONG!!!!! If your gonna write a book, take your time. You want it to be a master piece! I wouldn't suggest 28 days or 28 years, but there is no rush but at least finish it.

  • I love her makeup!!!

  • it doe'snt take 28 days to write a book god if you plan it all out and know what you want to write then it can be done in a week

  • cool if anyone is interested in doing some reading i have two prologues posted on my channel which i have written myself feedback would be appreciated :P

  • Each person has their own style but I found that working with students, then later for my own writing and bubishing, that what she says rings true...you have to get down to it and write, write, write. The more I pushed students on deadlines, the better their work was!

  • I have to agree with RobertsDigital on this one. I don't think a book should have a time-line put to it, unless you are being commissioned to write. The creativity needs to flow freely.

I am nineteen-years-old. I have written a memoir entitled, "The Impossible Dreams of Teenagers." It is a three-year work-in-progress, documenting the six-year odyssey of a group of teenagers, attempting to make a feature length film by the time they graduate high school.

  • Thanks.

  • should i write it on paper or computer?

  • PAPER! cuse its better. You cant make somting difrent and you cant maka a part agen whitout mesing upp 1 page. And you might not anderstand what you have writen. And your speling will be bad + you nid to write right att the first time if you dont wanna wast 1 page. And this is why paper is better then cumputer. Cuse cumputers are more easy to use.

  • @chrstilen5 sorry mate, but you're spelling is horrible, and you sort of contradict yourself. If it's easier to use the computer, then you SHOULD use the computer. It's easier to edit, easier to write, and you can just press print or copy it onto another system to duplicate your work. I write on the computer, much easier.

  • computer; if you want to even send it to a publisher, then its going to have to be typed anyways. but sometimes i write a page or two at school on paper when i dont have a computer with me, and then transfer it that night.

  • @vuvumama Computer

  • People say to write about what you know.

I write about what I don't know and figure it out on the way.

  • Writing a book in 28 days isn't really a good idea except if you are wring a book for toddlers.

I don't see bookwriting as something that should be done in a hurry. If i want people to enjoy my book, I will need more time to review what i have written and to find out if what i have written down does appeal to the reader in any way.

  • or nanowrite

  • Ehm can everbody tell me how i can start writting a book, and somting tip of the book .

I writting a book, but my problem is i can not finhest it , i not easy writting i will finshed my book but how do i that? can everbody tell me please.

    Tnks .. beye

  • When you plan your book. You need to figure out the ending first, then you fugure out how to get there.

  • @evilcountessdracula

That is what I'm trying to do as well! :D

  • well... not exactly.

  • any specific website for any more tips?

  • what would be better is getting the first draft done in twenty eight days. this way all your thoughts are on paper and all the 'just started' passion you have is in your novel. then, you take careful time on a rewrite, keeping in mind things like character and theme development.

  • This video was about as informative as saying "How to write a book in 28 days - 1) Think of something 2) Write it down 3)|Finish it withing 28 days"

    Yeah really helpful!

  • I just begun to write a book and its my first one so :) I SUCK at it

  • "So, good luck with that..." LOL

  • so um good luck with that. lol i am such a writing geek. lol i write almost all the time. i do come on youtube 4 tips and stuff. :)

  • Two days until NaNoWriMo... although that's in thirty days, and you plan before and edit after.

  • I love writing but I get a few weeks into writing and my writing quality goes down because i keep rushing everything going on and I keep changing my plot without really realizing it. =[

  • Well I have a problem like yours lol :3 What you should do is just keep plowing on, even if you hate it! There will be time to make changes later :83

  • This is an interesting video, but you seem to assume that everyone will follow the same methods as you. I would disagree about starting off with idea gathering. My writing style is to start writing the story and let the ideas develop as I go along. I would also disagree about having the editing so close to the writing. When I write a story, I finish a draft and then leave it for a bit. That way, I can read it with fresh eyes and decide which bits work and which need major improvements.

  • I have a idea for a book im gonna gather ideas for it and plan the plot, write the book for 3 weeks and re-read, and edit in 1 week

  • i cant even read a book in 28 days.

  • WOW, u are a confused imigrant, I read "The Hobbit" in FIVE days.

  • "The Hobbit"?

    WOW

  • It's a very fine piece of literature written by an amazingly gifted author, what's wrong with it?

  • nothing, nothing.

the author is gifted, it's just not exactly my taste.

    sorry for passing judgment.

  • Oh ok. :)

    It's fine.

  • @confusedimigrant hahaha!!!! Same here. I love to write and everything g but I'm freaking slow!!!

  • @confusedimigrant Kidding, right? I can read a book in a night, if I really want to.

  • @confusedimigrant hahahhahahahahahahahahahahhaahha

  • @confusedimigrant So, I can read several large books in 3 days.

  • @tehelp how old r u? 56?

  • @confusedimigrant I can read a 323 paged book in 3 days andthe whole serise of house of night within 28 days LOL it all depends on how much you read and how much you write. If you read all the time you finish quicker

  • the question i have is why would you want to write a book in 28 days? I just started my book 2 months ago and already perfected my book plot like 20 times. and though it can be frustrating, I'm enjoying every second of it.

  • Cool Pm me what ur book is about ill Pm u

  • Very good videos. I would like to see a lesson on suffixes and prefixes.

    Thank you very much.

  • The movie 28 days later was written in twenty eight days.. (although it's just a movie script)

  • Good plan but far too less time for writing a book. If you really want to write a good book you are going to need more than 28 days. Also, with this method you are going to focus more on getting the book finished than the quality.

  • You are so right:)This person does not know what shes talking about:()

  • Thanks for the tips. I just started writing a book. and i think i'm doing good so far. but i don't know =] thanks though that helped
