I used to love this song the label really dropped the ball with this one. They tried to hide the groups race when this song first dropped marketing it to urban radio only (the album cover had the name of the group and song title no photo). Instead of holding them up high because of their talent they tried to sell them as a black group very sad these girls could've been the female George Michael. Renee and Fergie were promised huge potential success on her own after leaving Kids Inc. and Disney in 1987 and 1989 respectively but no label or record company were never interested in these two amazing ladies for very odd reasons.
It is so damn sad that this group did not get promoted or marketed well with lame ass RCA Records. These girls tried everything they could do to gain popularity and acceptance into the industry with the help of Ron Fair, Martika, J.C. Chasez, and Jerry Sharrel as their producer and manger over the years, but nothing never worked out. These three ladies formed the group in 1990 after they were unfortunate to land a record contract on their own as solo artists.

Wow I didn't know Fergie was a singer in this group. I loved this video and the group back when it was out and still do. Fergie's singing style is quite different today it's ok. I like her singing style back in Wild orchid so beautiful. The voices of the trio are great together.

This was some good days back when this song was out.....was the most confident I have ever been, was learning who I was and just how strong of a woman I could be. Sometimes divorce can be a good thing.
I think Fergie looks and sounds much better today. Her voice is better now, I think she sounded a bit forced on this song, like trying to "over-sing" or something and the brassy white blonde hair was not a good look on her, imo. But hey, regardless of how she looks, now or then, she's a brilliant artist and I love to listen to her.

The only Tragedy about Wild Orchid is that they werent more popular then they debuted.I remember reading a professional reviewer talking about Wild Orchid and him saying that they (Wild Orchid) and their music while catchy and upbeat, and beautiful,was about 4 years too late.That their "Sound" Is more like Early 1990s(when they came out with their debut CD in 1996)

The really funny thing is that I was a big fan of WILD ORCHID even before Fergie became a houshold name with the Black Eyed Peas. I don't think a lot of people realize that Fergie has actually been singing since she was really young. Both she and the girl with the dark brown hair (Renee) in the group were both on Kids Inc back in the 80's. They played sisters. Later Jennifer Love Hewitt was on the show as well.
Look she has a very powerful voice and suites songs like this but she was great with The Black Eyed Peas with Elephunk and Monkey Bussiness and i am a fan yet their new album "The E.N.D" doesn't have the vocal status as their older albums. Fergie is a great vocalist i just wish she went off the drugs!

I think Fergie looks and sounds much better today. Her voice is better now, I think she sounded a bit forced on this song, like trying to "over-sing" or something and the brassy white blonde hair was not a good look on her, imo. But hey, regardless of how she looks, now or then, she's a brilliant artist and I love to listen to her.

The only Tragedy about Wild Orchid is that they werent more popular then they debuted.I remember reading a professional reviewer talking about Wild Orchid and him saying that they (Wild Orchid) and their music while catchy and upbeat, and beautiful,was about 4 years too late.That their "Sound" Is more like Early 1990s(when they came out with their debut CD in 1996)
I do agree with what he said but that doesnt change the fact that I dont care what time period, the quality of the music is awesome.

The really funny thing is that I was a big fan of WILD ORCHID even before Fergie became a houshold name with the Black Eyed Peas. I Bought Their Debut CD and I listened to it often , even to this day. All of the Girls were awesome with Fergie Taking lead a lot. I remember reading somewhere that she kept in touch with the other 2 girls.
Everyone seems to know Fergie and when I mention Wild Orchid from 1996 people are like.."WHO?".. So I have to Tell them about *WO* and let them know WO rocks!

Okay everyone who says that Fergie looks so much better here: take into account that this video was filmed in 1996. She would have been 21 and yes, this was prior to any drug use. This song was Wild Orchid's first single ever so that's why everyone looks so young and fresh faced, they were just getting to be known then.

I don't think a lot of people realize that Fergie has actually been singing since she was really young. Both she and the girl with the dark brown hair (Renee) in the group were both on Kids Inc back in the 80's. They played sisters. Later Jennifer Love Hewitt was on the show as well.

Look she has a very powerful voice and suites songs like this but she was great with The Black Eyed Peas with Elephunk and Monkey Bussiness and i am a fan yet their new album "The E.N.D" doesn't have the vocal status as their older albums. Fergie is a great vocalist i just wish she went off the drugs!

Fergie still got the same wonderful,strong and awesomely powerful voice,she still is incredibly talented. Check out the videos - Fergie High Notes,there are many on You Tube,she sings amazingly great live,or for example her songs like Finally or Barracuda - live,or many many others,she sings unbelievable. Also her rendition of National Anthem which she sang few times is so very amazing,and she still has an incredible vocal range. She is and always will be one of the most talented people on earth

Fergie had a good voice, I guess the meth deteriorated it, because she's sounding more like Spears now, rather then Houston back in the day; as evidenced here. That hair colors looks awful on her.
