These are not Red / Amber LEDS, but White / Amber LEDS? And the white shows through the red lenses (obviously). My guess is that the white would make a brighter red than a red LED.
Regardless, looks like you have a great setup going there! Thanks for posting the video.
@patrat191 Yes you are correct. The red is a "ligher" red that it would be if it was red led's but I have had people ride behind me and cops too and they work just as well.
@patrat191 red leds in a red housing would put out more lumens than a white led in a red housing. the filter cuts out some of the light. ALWAYS stick the same color bulb in a filter
do u have LEDs on the front too? I put Leds on the rear of my Canyon and they blinked much faster kind of like when one signal is burnt out. I resorted back to regular bulbs. These look way nicer than the crappy
@1995se just go to v-leds.com and order the LED load equalizer resistor.. i installed LEds on my chevy cav when i had iit and they stopped the fast blinking.
@1995se need to get a voltage reducer you can buy them at autozone usually you just splice it into the wire going to the blinker and it will make it not flash it will look normal i had the same problem and discovered that and its all good now
So the amber does show through. not to bad. idk if its the video quality or what, but can you def tell the difference in the sun light if it is amber or red? I wouldn't have minded doing this but I have the DEPO LED tail lights and the turns and reverse are clear, no red covering. Very nice though, now get them for the front.
do you have a link to the 912's that you got? i can't find any bulbs that look like they'd spread the light evenly like the V-LED towers.
