This style string instruments are pure turkish origin instruments. Its coming orginally from the old relegion of turkic peoples 'the shamanism'. This instrument is orginally from Qizilbash people, Qizilbash people are today living in Turkey and Iran and this relegion is orginally from The Qizilbash Turkmens.
