I think the best thing about this video is that it shows that 'Little Boots' is just a normal person. Recording a cover in her house and posting it up on youtube... I cant think of anyone else nowadays that would do this. Plus by the look of things she still runs this youtube page, despite her fame. It shows that she is a genuine person which is inspirational for people like me who are beginning to post covers on youtube and so on. Hope others share this point of view:). Amazing!

Oberheim didn't have any samplers in 1985 - their first, the DPX1, was released in 1987 - and I really don't think that was an analog synth. I'd always presumed it was a sample played on the Fairlight - the same source sample as the background chords but with different envelope/filter settings.

I love phones going off on home demo/fun recordings.

There's one of Hendrix demoing songs for Axis, and the phone just rings for several minutes in the background... Also, I was in a post rock band and a phone went off during a 'just for posterity' live demo - it suited the song rather well, so we took to gigging with a phone miked up on stage and having the drummer ring it at the key point...

SO I don't think it spoils it at all, just adds to the charm.
