  • This is sick! Anyone have the tenor music?

  • this is deffinately the sickist lick ive herad

  • yeah its still McIntosh

  • haha nope... to bad

  • Is their instructor still Mike McIntosh?

  • well...it was in 08, he went to Crossmen and now BCoats have Tim and Mike Jackson!!

  • I hate ppl that record drumlines out of position like this. most of the junk you hear is because this recording is totally out of position.

  • Oh well.

  • stop bitchin

  • hey hcc, didnt you say you made this line, but you had a job "too good to pass up" in another video?

  • I agree, that roll did shit out, and I was in this snareline!

  • thats b/c it was you Jeff.

  • the triplet roll at 5 seconds starts out dirty as shit

  • i have this music its so tight they have it in their audition materials.

  • no 3rd dude , not last

  • now thats what i call gettin into in tenors! look at the dude on far right

  • nice

  • loving the simple fact that i can see the red tape rolls on the side of the tenors...... i dont care what the scores at finals said, nice job this year guys.

  • JAY!! I can see u in the distance! lol You Rock!

  • THANKS!

  • thats it? want more

  • holy shit. i just watched this video... i thought i was commenting on a blue DEVIL video this whole time (thus the "beating the shit outta the drum/no dynamics" remark), caus' thats what i was watching before i commented & had different windows open. sorry about that. umm, yea i love the bluecoats, they're my second favorite line. and holy hell do i feel like a douchebag right now lol

  • haha hey happens to the best of us

  • scizatt. i was in the center 3 of that snareline and we were always told to play with the upmost musical mindset . and by the way, this drumline wasnt just good because of mac and bret. yes, they are two of the best educators out there. but i know this line worked thier asses off everyday and nothing less than perfection was ever exceptable. unless you personally know anyone in this line or have been taught by any of its staff. you dont know what your talking about.

  • alright scizatt, you obviously dont know what you are talking about. check the bluecoats technique packet. they hit the drum probably the lightest out of ALL of the top 5 drumlines. and you are talking shit about dynamics, when its a clip of 37 seconds, of 11 minutes of show. and if you are doubting them beating a line, then why dont you go voice your opinion to j.j, or alan. but what do they know, right?

  • ughh, phantom was so much better. how come these guys only know one dynamic?

  • ahhhh, someone is jealous, pissy and whiney cause they arent good enough to be in the line that almost beat dev's for the sanford trophy.

  • no. im not kidding, these guys beat the shit out of the drum and end up winning best in drums. i dont understand it. There's no musicality in their playing, the composition is repetitive, and every one of those guys play like they're playing by themselves. The only reason they are so high in drums all the time is because they all have crazy chops and because of their rep. playing an instrument isnt all about being able to play flam drags at 220

  • I agree with your comments, however, there is a lot more to getting the score than just that...its not about chops, etc. having bret kuhn and mike mcintosh on staff (those that have won countless dci world championship and sanford titles) does have its advantages. They do play musical, they do play as an ensemble and regardless of what you might think of the book, its considered streamlined for the arrangements.

  • they arent high in drums all the time, only since last year are they getting the biggest scores of their dci history, largely due to kuhn/mcintosh being there.

  • Hey, I thought we did pretty well under the great DD! =)

  • They are the lasers that are used in the ballad.

  • What are those red things?

  • I'm not too sure. I knew what they were when I saw them there...but I can't remember now...Sorry.

  • @MikeDeGothseir Those are the tape for in the show, the guard does the whole sneaky red tape thing...I obviously can't explain it very well hahaha.

  • It's elastic rope used during the "heist" section of the show. The guard moves through them like it's laser detection. It's a really incredible idea!

  • I saw it! Awesome.

  • @Zero724 It's the ribbon they used for the "laser" effect in the show, I think.

  • @Zero724

They are "laser beams" that the gaurd crawled/walked through before the show started. It's just a theatric that they used as a preshow. They are like ribbons that went fom a drum to another drum or a person.

  • more dirt than for them than last year at this point in the season

  • i love bluecoats show this year. and yea i've noticed that alot of triple stroke rolls as well.

  • Ya, this show is incredible. Amazing what the bluecoats have advanced to over the last 3 years or so.

  • what is this

  • What do you mean?

  • boring

  • ahahaha wally, its so pathetic you pick on one of the better drumlines in dci while you sit in a corner and attempt to matched grip on your first act drumset.

  • TONS of energy!

  • French/triple stroke rolls are quite chic this year. Nothing wrong with that, but I've noticed that with a few lines throughout. Nice clip.
