  • Hey Paul, i have a question about tension in arcsaber and voltric series!!!

What is the benefit to string the racket to a higher tension?? They say if you are an advanced player they normally will increase their tension?? I think it will bounce more out of your stringbed but you have less feeling for slow shots.... But the better players and elite players always choose for a tighter tension?? What are the benefits and misfits if you do so...

Good reviews and your site is master!!!

  • What tension do you use on your 9900??

  • @MoBXSnipes

The nano9900 was strung at the recommended maximum tension of 24lbs. I don't string beyond the manfacturers recommendation as it invalidates the warranty on the racquet. i know many players that do.

    Hope this helps.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach Yeah this definitely helps. I'm hoping to pick one up tomorrow!

  • @TheBadmintonCoach What tension do you use on the z slash?

  • @pete9129

Z Slash was strung at standard factory stringing for this review. Usually I prefer 25lbs in my racquets but I wouldn't string Z SLash at that tension. I'd probably go with maximum recommended tension of 24lbs.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach Thanky (:

  • @MoBXSnipes i have mine strung at 28lbs. I seem to get a fair amount of power with it. My coach clocked me at 130mph, which isn't international standard but I'm only 17. I do seem to break lots of strings though. I tend to go through at least one or 2 every 2 weeks.

  • Which of these have a better 'feel' ?

  • @HoangiePongie

Sorry to say the answer will differ according to the player who uses it. Feel is how we eventually judge whether a racquet is right for us or not. No matter what you read in reviews, the bottom line is whether you feel the racquet is right for you when you play with it. Nobody can tell you that.

    Paul

    Paul

  • If you are interested in the hardest hit, you should design a racket with the smallest flexibility, stiff material, cast in 1 piece, shorter shaft, a face with wider rim in the middle, high tension strings, smaller face (which requires better playing technique)

  • which is more lighter in weight?

  • @masgunz101

Nano9900 has a lighter head. Overall, the racquets weigh about the same although you can get different versions which are slightly lighter.

    Paul

  • hey, what kinda grip u got on there??

  • @4EverRegret

I can't remember which Yonex grip I had on the racquet - probably a grap. My favourite is the tacky grip.

    Paul

  • I used to play with armortec 900T, and it fits me, but i am still considering to try z-slash, could You tell me differences between these racquets? i am sort of allround player, not much smashing, making a lot of drops, clears and deceptive at the net, would it be a proper racquet for me? thanks in advance :)

  • @PrimeusPrime

It's not the racquet I'd choose if you're not looking to smash a lot. Your game seems similar to Gade or Lee Chong Wei. They use Arc 10 and Voltric 80. Maybe these racquets would be better? Test and see what feels best for you as nobody can advise you what will suit you best.. Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach Can you review Arc 10 and Voltric 80?

  • @HoangiePongie

I have already reviewed these racquets on my blog. I have no plans for more videos at the moment.

    Paul

  • ive had both of these. and i love both. although with the z slash you have to pay extra close attention to your timed hits cuz its extra unforgiving most of the time.

  • @luf4rall

Agreed. If you like these racquets, go check out my review of Voltric 80.

    Paul

  • is 85g for a yonex racket good for smashing atc

  • @hampsteadbuzz

Only if you like smashing with a light racquet. For some it's perfect, others it's too light. Sorry to say only you can say whether it suits your game or not.

    Paul

  • Can anyone tell me whats the difference between carbonex, musclepower, armortec, arcsaber and nanospeed. your reply is very much appreciated PLease i need help !!!

  • @thediabyfactor

Basically the difference is the way in which the racquet is constructed. Also Arcsaber is even balance, Armortec is head heavy and Nanospped is head light in terms of balance and feel.

Carbonex is essentially old style looking head compared to the others which use an isometric (sqaure head) which provides a larger sweet spot.

Lets keep it at that because there's point getting too technical. Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach which racquet will you recommend if i want good control of the shuttlecock

  • which do you think better the yonex arcsaber z-slash or the arcsaber 8dx

  • can you make a reveiw of you playing with the yonex arcsaber z slash

  • @mizan0797

At the moment I'm not filming but will certainly keep your request in mind. Paul

  • im an intermediate player and im better at placing, defence and netting etc. what kind of racket should i get?

  • @Thedaughtryrocks get an armor tech (i like the 900 attk the best) or a arc saber 8 (dx not the original). Both these racquets are for higher tier players but its always best to start with a good instrument

  • Should I get the Nano Speed 9900 or the Arcsaber?

I'm better at smashing and offensive hits.

Which one do you think I should get?

  • @ckscream

If you are naturally powerful then i would choose Nano9900. It will be help you more in other areas of your game such as defence and net.

Z Slash is a brilliant racquet but can be difficult to tame.

    Paul

  • Hey i am an intermediate level player , ive been thinking whether to get get AS 7,AS 10 or NS 9900, i am an offensive player with good power in smashes. which do you suggest i get?

  • @TheBadmintonCoach

Thanks for the tips, i bought the Arcsaber because i think it gives me a faster smash.

  • is thecomplete length of the z slash shorter than the 9900?

  • @UktraLord

Good question. From memory as I don't have the racquets with me, I'd say the answer is no.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach Ok, thx for your answer.

  • Comment removed

  • @The BadmintonCoach

I don't know what to get the nanospeed 9900 or z slash but i can smash really fast and like smashing cross court? Sorry if it is confusing

  • @WeaponSpree

If you have good natural smashing power then consider what else you want the racquet to do well. If you are looking for speed in defence then Nano9900 is the racquet for you. Nano is a really fast racquet without any head weight so you can move it really fast.

Decide on what you want and I think you'll be able to make your decision.

    Paul

PS Let me know what you choose

  • I'm more of a defence player who likes net/drop shots. I don't have much of a budget and my dad wants to get me new racket for christmas what racket should I get?

  • @countdown1324

With these credentials Yonex Nanospeed series should suit your game. There is a racquet in the series to meet your fathers budget so good luck and let me know what you get.

    Merry Christmas

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach I got the Carlton tour.... the blue one lol. it was fairly expensive but my dad said it was worth it. Definately was. It was £140 cut down to £47.99 so I chipped in and got that. It's head light just what I was looking for!

we also got some feather shuttlecocks and dad bought himself the nanospeed 200 unfortunatly the nanospeed 9900 was only cut down by £40 so I couldn't get it(£135) the website is directsport if not just google that. thanks for the help!

  • my rackets name is arcsaber7 nanaospeed

  • i use yonex mp3 and it was awesome! (kinda but my prince powerline racket which i buy for 10 dollars is awesome than my mp3 for me =) )

  • witch raquet would u suggest arcsaaaber z slash or nano speed 9900......

  • @rishirich9001

Rich, this depends on what you want out of racquet and which you feel plays best. The best racquet is ultimately the one that you play best with.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach I used to play badminton when I was younger, and have just started up again, so I'm playing with a quite old Yonex Isometric 77VF. Do you know anything about this raquet? Thanks.

  • @lb8068

Sadly I don't remember this racquet - there have been so many over the years.

    Paul

  • would you recommend the z slsh or the 8DX your review of the 8DX is very convincing in getting

  • @KnockoutMagic

My personal choice is Arcsaber 8DZ. I feel it's a better all rounder and I got used to it in seconds compared to my struggle to tame Z Slash.

I've known many players who have ordered a Z Slash and then they've sold it as they can't play consistently with it.

Choosing a racquet is personal and I found 8DX worked so much better for me.

Let me know what you choose.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach at the moment i'm gpoing to get the z slash at a cheap price, so obviously i wouldn't think its genuine but I will hopefully get the 8DX, i'll let you know how I play with it soon, as i would think the z slash could be a liitle similar to the Arcsaber 10 which i've got now. I'm only getting this cheap to 'fill up my' bag as my new carlton snapped

  • @TheBadmintonCoach I chose li-ning woods n90 second generation... it's perfect... when i first try it it felt really great... and now its just feel more incredible... the heavy head makes push shot, drop shot and smashes even more faster... you should try it i think...

  • @TheBadmintonCoach i also recommend the nanospeed 300 cause its easy to get along with cause its my first yonex racket and its cheap though. . . . .

  • you guys see the new special Taufik Hidayat edition in red?

  • @Jordy0818

The Signature Series is a limited edition run due for release in UK end of August.

However, TH Z Slash is strange as Taufik plays Arcsaber 10, not Z Slash. It will also be sold for £170 so it's not much interest to me.

    Paul

  • im a beginnger which one should i get?

  • @strickmans NanOspeeds,But its Expensive!

  • @bryanlokes

Yes, these racquets are expensive. You're buiying the premier brand in the market and the top of the range models too. Unless you're ready and able to use this technology to the fullest then choose something else in the superb range.

    Paul

  • @strickmans

I wouldn't buy either as a beginner. You should consider a racquet with flexible shaft and look at the lower price range. Personally, until you develop your technique, you will not see the benefit from either racquet.

    PAul

  • is the NS9900 Too stiff to get any power out ???

  • @OFFICIALDNSOLO

No, it's just that if you're not a power player the light head may not help you get any more than you're already getting. Generally, a heavy head will add more weight to a smash to give more power compared to a light head.

A light head allows a player to swing faster but initially may get a touch more power, but once you're used to it, this returns to the previous speed and you just don't get more power.

    Paul

  • @OFFICIALDNSOLO

No it's not too stiff. But some players who do not have a lot of power may need to consider whether a head heavy racquet will help them gain more power than this light headed racquet.

    Paul

  • If you got a balanced racket of which Z slash is, your dealing with potentially getting less power ( given all things else being equal) because the weight is simply not getting compensated. They are even comparing it to a Nano 9900 ( I used to play with Nano 9000). Anybody who play with Nano knows that racket is a doubles defensive racket. Its meant for maneuverability just like the Z slash. You cannot have the cake and eat it too. That is to say Z Slash is more easy to defend and move around.

  • @KaiserWilhelmIV Your logic makes perfect sense, but your comment about all things being equal is the caveat. Z slash doesn't create its power through head weight. Momentum can more than compensate for weight, were not dealing with much weight to start with regardless of balance. It's narrow head and aerodynamic frame slice through the air. (I know that sounds corny but that is how it feels compared to my MP100). I still point to the youtube vid of Tan Boon Heong smashing @421kph with Z-slash

  • @KaiserWilhelmIV

Interesting comments. I wouldn't class Z Slash as a balanced racquet, but it is easy to move, but you can feel the weight in the head. Overall, it's a brilliant racquet and gets my vote over Nano9900.

    Paul

  • Z slash is not a good smasher. It has balanced weight distribution. Its just good for mobility so for defense it can be good. If you want to just smash points on the floor you best find a head heavy one... babalot.

  • @KaiserWilhelmIV

I always say that choosing a racquet is personal and that's why I don't recommend racquets to players - I just give my view of the playing characteritcs of the racquet.

For some Z Slash is the best they've ever played with. Others will hate it. That's life.

    Thanks for your comment.

    Paul

  • @KaiserWilhelmIV Head weight isn't the only factor in creating power. Since the z-slash bested the previous smash racket by 21kph, i would argue it may be the best smasher ever. I find it almost blasphemous to call a z-slash a defensive racket. lol

Will it be the best smasher for you or me, maybe not.

  • just bought my z slash today for $202 customize the grip and the string :D

    sale price at digi sports

  • Hey. I'm looking to buy a good racquet but I don't really know which type to get. I'm not a bad player. I'm proficient at basically everything in the game, but my price range is quite low, probably around £70. Could you please recommend a couple of racquets I could look into?

  • @giantipodfive

I would look at Yonex Armortc 70MG, Nanospeed 850 or Victor Castilus 400, Victor Density 900.

    Hope this helps.

    Paul

  • Sir,

Whats the maximum tention this bat can hold upto?! I am a control player and thinking of buying this racket soon..!

  • @rickyron11

Yonex recomended maximum tension on these racquets is 24lbs. However, there are many players who will testify to stringing at considerably higher tensions without any problems.

Many stringer will not exceed the recommended tension because it invalidates warranty. They may ask you to sign a waiver so if the frame breaks you cannot ask for a replacement.

    Paul

  • Yonex is the best brand for Badminton. im 13 n have a yonex bad and racquet

  • @Hiroshi2166

Yonex is the biggest brand in badminton and many would agree it's the best too.

    Paul

  • which brand is the best for badminton racquets??

  • @kewang08

The brand that is best is the one that makes the racquet of your dreams. I love using Yonex racquets and I beleive they make the best racquets overall. That doesn't mean you will find one you like.

Whatever you use, as long as you feel it's an extension of your hand, then it's the right racquet for you.

    Paul

  • can someone tell me whats the price of YONEX B-560 DF? i cant remeber

  • @BananaFlip109

Sorry, I don't know this model.

    Paul

  • @BananaFlip109 lol is that a joke... funny joke cause otherwise i wouldnt take time out from my exams to comment. u can probably get it from poundland... hence for £1

  • @msoda99 im from singapore? of course i dont know? its not a joke also...some people may not know some things...

  • Hi Paul,

I have a question for you. Which one do you think is better, the Armortec 900 technique or the ArcSaber 10. I am deciding which one to get.

    Thanks,

    Darren

    Age 13

  • @DarrenYuanDarren

    Hi Darren

I can't say which is better as it depends what you require in a racquet. i have reviewed both in my blog so please read the reviews. You will find details of my blog on the video titles.

Choosing a racquet is so personal i wouldn't like to choose for you. What would happen if you didn't like the racquet?

Top singles players Gade and Hidayat use Arc 10. I don't know of any players currently using AT900 Technique.

    Does that help?

    Paul

  • Hey Paul, I'm looking into buying a Z-Slash, and after reading many reviews, I am fairly positive it will fit my aggressive smashing game-style. One thing I'm worried about still. I tend to hit the frame fairly often, but rarely very hard. It's more hit on contact with the birdie to the frame when I try to return smashes or under-hand clearing. Can you give me some input on this? Thanks.

  • @Reokoa

Be careful. If you frame a lot with your current racket then Z Slash may not be for you. The head is slightly smaller compared to other Yonex rackets and therefore you are more likely to catch the frame. The mis-timing of the hit usually causes a frame shot.

Try hitting a shuttle against a wall. It will develop your defence and speed up your game. This may help reduce or resolve the issue for you.

    Paul

  • ur not making ur point...if u place a racquet on top of each other, it tilts the racquet, shortening the width.

  • @Jordy0818

    Hi Jordy.

The Z Slash is almost a new shape ISO racquet. Without doubt the overall width of this racquet head is shorter than other conventional ISO shape heads.

    Hope this helps.

    Paul

  • @Jordy0818 i have this racquet, but i have to say the head is significantly smaller on the Arc Z-Slash compared to my NS9900 and my AT900Power

  • Hey paul, can you make video reviews of most of the top end badminton rackets like armortec 900 series, cuz i've been searching for video reviews of rackets other than this one but there seems to be none

  • @AbsolteZero

I am filming Arcsaber 8DX today and possibly Nano9900. After that I do intend to film a lot more racket reviews. Have you read my reviews on my blog? If not, have a look as there's tons more information on there and you could win a racket! Look at the titles on my video for details of my blog address.

    Paul

  • You can't compare racquet heads with one racquet strung and the other not...

  • @yeexiaolong

Have you read my review? I actually tested this racquet before I did the video. The string was cut out to get it custom strung. So, I'm pretty qualified to talk about this racquet.

Hope you like my blog? You can find details on video titles.

    Paul

  • @fattycan

Hi there. Nano 300 is a good racquet. Go to my blog and read my review. You can find details on the video titles.

    Paul

  • Sir,how do u think of nanospeed 300?

  • Because of the great review on your blog i am most likely bying this racket

  • I AM wondering when the arc 8dx review will come out?

  • @hellomynameisewan

written review is already on my blog. I've completed filming for the video review but cannot complete editing until I return from holiday mid May.

    Paul

PS you can details of my blog in the titles of the video

  • I am going to write a review of Arc 008. AS yet I haven't had the racket to test. I am about to launch a video review of Arc8DX, hopefully within the next few days.

    Paul

You can read reviews of rackets on my blog. Details are in video titles

  • Hey could you make a review on the arcsaber 008 i recently got it but i dont have the time to try it out thanks!

  • hey i need help. I am trying to decide between two diff rackets (at900 power or technique) i also need recomendations on the weight of the racket (wether i should get a 3u or 4u racket). I play around 3 times a week and am a fairly decent player. I usually win by my smashes, net shot and smash returns. I hope u can help decide on a racket.

  • @AbsolteZero

Both are good rackets. 900P wins for me in terms of smashing power but isn't as fast in defence and around the net as Technique. Some of the great doubles players use Power so it's more about getting used to the racket.

3U tends to be a good weight. However, go with what you prefer weightwise. I am not you therefore only you can make final decision. I prefer 3U but in UK we don't get other weight options.

Have you tried Arc8DX. Read my review on my blog. See titles for info.

    P

  • Hey, i play badminton currently 3 hours every 2 days of a week and i was wondering if yonex nano speed is better than arc saber z slash? Please reply ASAP. Thanks

  • @sportsfans182

Both are really good racquets. I'd say the Z Slash is more powerful. It depends how you play. Defensively, Nano9900 is better bot offensively Z Slash wins. If you mishit with Z Slash a lot then it may be time to change. If you want something in between, look at Arcsaber 8dx. Go to my blog for reviews on racquets. Details are in the titles of the video as I'm not allowed to provide more here

    Paul

  • @olp1372

Sorry to advise you're too late as the competition is closed. Youu'll need to go to my blog and see what's on it. The details are on the titles of my video.

    Paul

  • Hello , Im a badminton player and am looking on getting a ArmoTec 900 or a Z slash which should i get? And what type of Yonex Bg's should i get?

  • @PoXPuLar

Both are very good rackets. I use Armortec 900 and I;ve tested Z Slash too. Have you read my reviews on my blog? Watch video titles for blog details. If Bg is string then BG80 is most popular followed by BG65Ti.

PLease tell you badminton friends about my blog. If you're quick you can enter the competition to win a Nano 9900 racket.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach Hi Paul. Hmm I am currently 14 years old and playing 5-6 hours a day. I play whenever I can outsiude at the Gym. I Need your help. I currently have a pc-20 black knight with Nanogy 95 string at 24 lbs tension. I find it drags too much. And this summer I am buying a new racket. I am a technical player. Placement/control. But I smash to kill the rally. Now here is the question. What Yonex racquet should be fitted to me. Any budget I have enough money. ;) thanks if you answer

  • @22echab22e

If I was you, I'd check out Armortec 900 Technique as it sounds ideal for your style. Saying that, any of the top end Yonex rackets can make a difference although you may find Z Slash a little frustrating on timing.

If you visit my blog I have reviewed all Yonex top end rackets so you'll get a good overall feel for them. There's plenty of other coaching articles on there too. Look at the titles in the video for details.

You can also win a Nano 9900 if you're quick..

    Paul

  • Hey Paul, many thanks for all your badminton reviews and wonderful information. I'm just wondering, your grip for the arc z slash, is an overgrip right? And to what tension of string would you go for? and does the colour of the string affect gameplay?

Thanks again Paul, keep up the great reviews!

  • @lolitswill The racket had a standard grip on and was strung to 23lbs tension. It strings tighter because of the smaller frame. No, string colour does not affect how you play. Have you checked out my blog yet? (See video description for link). You can win a nanospeed 9900 racket if you are quick to enter.

    Paul

p.s Please tell you badminton playing friends !

  • I bought the yonex muscle power 10 light for fifty bucks. still my favorite racket

  • how much that racket?

  • @MrDinms3

Z Slash is around £150 in UK. Not sure what the equivalent is where you are.

  • what rackets would you recomened for a beginner. im 14 and looking for a cheap racket i like the look of the yonex b500 and the browning nanoblade tdi. which would you say is better ?

  • @tryder78

Tryder, out of the two rackets I'd go for Yonexb500

Hope you play well with this racket and continue playing this great sport for many years.

    Paul

  • ok thanks ive ordered the b500 but hope to change it again soon because i have a feeling the racket may be quite heavy

  • @tryder78

THe way to look at this is that it gets you started. Once you get the hnag of the game and like it there are tons of better rackets. You won't go wrong with a Yonex racket.

  • Mr Paul.. Is it to much heavy to play with Yonex Arc Saber Z Slash ?? i heard the cons of this racket is the weight is very heavy.. correct me if im wrong..

  • No it's not too heavy - a lot lighter than Armortec 700.

Kenichi Tago just got to All England Singles final playing with a Z Slash. He had tremendous power and control. So it worked well for him.

    Paul

  • Thanks for the video Paul; was just wondering if you can suggest the best racqet (only Yonex) for singles and doubles(I play both), it doesnt neccesarrily have to be between the arcz or nano9k.

I've been using the Armotec 900P for about two years now and its served me well, just wanted to try something new.

    Thanks

  • Hi Richard

The best racket is the one you feel you play best with.

I'm testing 3 different rackets at the moment to decide which I want to play with. But my choice is not yours. You really need to test.

PLease do not be fooled into thinking that the best player plays with the best racket. Players make their own choices based on their sponsor. Out of the range, they all choose different rackets because it suits them.

Hope you've had time to visit my blog

    To your success

    Paul

  • As Paul was saying the racket can vary greatly between players. I play for the Scottish Badminton Team and i'm using a racket that retails at £40, (Ashaway Ti130) and in all honesty it is one of the best rackets i have ever used so don't be taking in by the price.

  • Hello good video but me i have nanospeed 9900 but is bad for me

i have buy recently (apacs nano 9990)

and it is possible to strung at 35 lbs of tension--- me i have strung at 30 lbs and it is the best felling - sorry yonex

  • Why would you need to string a racket at 35lbs?

Racket tensions are getting beyond a joke. There is a point where the string will not provide any repulsion properties and therefore unless you have perfect technique, then you are having to put more effort into every shot.

Apacs make good rackets, as do other manufacturers.

    Paul

  • sox agian cause thez slash has such a narrow frame ...does it have a biiger chance of shattering or breaking???

  • Thanks for your comment.

There is a danger of breakage with any of these rackets. Whilst the frames are strong, they are not built to withstand impact with another racket. It's more a matter of good furtune rather than anything else that a racket stays intact after a collision.

    Paul

PS Thanks for signing up to be blog. My 7 secrets DVD is almost finished, just a little more videoing to go and some editing.

  • I wanted to get a new racket and i got the new carlton vapour trail tour then i noticed 2 weeks later the z slash came out only for £30 extra :)

  • Comment removed

  • Arcsaber Z slash totaly perfect for me than My Victor SW35...

    More power smash using Arcsaber...

  • Yes, it's a really powerful racket if can master the timing issues that some players suffer from.

    Paul

  • hi ive just started and bought a head metallix it says pro tour no numbers ie 1000,800,200 ect just metallix pro tour its 88 grams and flexible cost £49 have i been ripped off or is this a good racket at a decent price? thanks.

  • Hi there

I doubt you're being ripped off. Whilst the Head brand are relatively new to badminton, they built a solid reputation in tennis and squash so they do know how to make rackets.

Take a look at my blog as there's lots of info for you there.

    To your success

    Paul

  • I agree, tennis racket makers like head, wilson and babolat are good bets if you want badminton rackets.

  • Yes, but not as good as Yonex.

    Paul

  • Yup, yonex is the greatest badminton maker, I like their tennis rackets too. They need more guys to use them. lol

  • I totally agree!

    Paul

  • Agree. Yonex is making the best rackets in the world. Another good choice would be Gosen, they adopt woven technique (wove the carbon sheets to make the shaft) and make pretty good rackets.

  • Both are great rackets. Which one you prefer is down to personal choice.

I'm still using Nano9900 but will probably switch to Z Slash next season.

  • I've got a suggestion. Why not do a review of the legendary Titanium Mesh 10? I'd like to know your opinions on that one. I'm using one today (the new generation III purple one), along with my Arc10 and old timer Titanium Mesh 6. Great racquet. It has the power of an AT, feel of an Arc and handling of a Nano despite having a decade old technology. It may be old, but it can still kick some of today's Yonex racquet's ass. I'll say that much.

  • I would love to review the Ti10. Sadly it's no longer with us and I didn't get the chance to play with it.

Because of this, I can't do the review.

  • my z-slash broke a week ago =(

i have to go back to my 9900 now, at least until i can get a new/replacement one.

    ...IF i can get one...

  • @ChaosShadic1 dun buy yonex rackets. it is not as good as before. it breaks easily. chose another brand like apecs or sintec. buying one yonex z slash could buy you 4 apecs imitation but it is still as good.

  • i have an arcsaber 10 right now and i love it. great feel and power. just ordered a nanospeed 9900 and i cant wait for it to come in. thanks for the review!

  • I love reviewing rackets. Can't wait for the new ones to arrive in 2010. I'm going to do a written and video review of rackets in the future.

You've got two great rackets now. I hope they serve you well.

  • Do you have the Arcsaber 10? If so, which do you prefer? (Z Slash or 10)

  • I have been using the z for a month. Really helped me improve my speed and power.

  • Nice review Paul. Would it be possible for you to review and compare the Armortec 900 Technique to it's Power counterpart?

  • Hi! Does your Z-slash come with a rubber band to secure the grip where it meets the cone / cap on the handle? The ones I see at Canadian dealers are only taped and not as described on Yonex's site. What version is yours? Thanks!

  • This is a new one - never heard of a rubber band to secure the grip. Are you sure this isn't something to do with packaging as in some countries the racket seems to be fixed to a cardboard background. We don't have that in UK.

The top of the grip is tape which is standard for Yonex.

  • plz giv me tips wit the z-slash plzzz cuz i bought it a few months ago and im trying to get used to it but im not used to stiff neck racquets. i hav a ArcS 7 and its a flex type

  • I have two pair of Nano Speed 9900 and I love it.. I think 9900 is the best racket rite now.

  • Yes, Nano 9900 is a great racket - I use them too.

    Paul

  • i thought arcsaber 10 is..... i have a 9900 nanospeed yonex and im planning to get the arcsaber 10

  • I bought the Z-slash a couple of weeks ago. Hard to get used to - but I'm starting to like it.

  • I know exactly how you feel. It's a great racket, but it does take a lot of getting used to.

Give it a month or so and then why not write to me and let me know how it's playing. Tell me what part of your game has improved because of the racket.

    Paul

  • good video. just one question though...why don´t you add a review of the mp99 which is still a very popular racket? would be highly appreciated i think...

  • I'm gonna buy the Z-Slash in 2 days , really excited and looking forward to using it

  • I'm MALAYSIAN junior player...I use Yonex Armotec 50..it awesome...
