Ariel's hair doesn't look as good in this movie, or at least this scene. I think it's because it's a lot less detailed... like Melody's hair has lines in it to show strands and curls in detail, but Ariel's doesn't.

Melody is a much better heroine than Ariel. That's probably blasphemy or something- but Ariel knowingly put her whole civilization in danger because she saw this guy ONCE and decided she was in love with him. Melody was frustrated and curious, and didn't know she was doing anything wrong. She thought she was doing the RIGHT thing.
