the people that sit on the board of directors at these charites make millions directly from the donations that are being sent to them. the federal government only regulates that a minimum of 10% of the donations be used towards the charites acutal purpose and the rest can be used for "administrative fees" ie. salaries. using guilt, human drama, and explotation of these childrens photos is deplorable. dont send these charlatans your money!

To put down Sally because of her weight and because it is a Christian charitable organization, is extremely bigoted, the very thing the tv show All in the Family was against, and ridiculed. Those that have done so - what have you done to make the world a better place? What charities do you contribute to?

Countless impoverished people have had everything from schools built, water wells dug, medical facilities staffed with doctors created, etc., all by many Christian missionaries and charities. When the earthquake hit Haiti, the churches were the first to respond and offer help. You cannot dismiss all the good work that has been done just because they have also tried to evangelize. at the same time. Just because Sally has gained weight, does not disqualify her from trying to help.

As for Christian Charities that help feed the hungry, I agree that should be the only purpose as opposed to converting them to Christianity. At the same time, Christians do believe in the Bible and they are told to spread the word to others about the gospel. This is something many, many missionaries do that also try to help the poor and needy in whatever way they can. Such people should not be put down because they do this. You must keep in mind all the good work they do.

Regarding All in the Family and racism, Archie Bunker's prejudices were ridiculed. The show did not in any way promote racism and bigotry. The entire point of the show was to show how stupid and narrow minded Archie and others like him were! Were you not paying attention? All in the Family was groundbreaking television because it tackled serious issues like bigotry and more. That had never been done before. The other Norman Lear show, Maude, did the same thing;
