  • this match was just before dx reunited again since hhh betrayed dx to join the corporation, right?

  • @theblacktrash yeah

  • LMAO @ 1:21

  • HHH them song at thisn time is so bad ass

  • man mick foley can sell the pedigree

  • @TheShakiebreaks like non other... he always took it flat on the mat instead of selling it terribly by putting the knee like Rock... another one that could sell finishers GREAT was Shane.... he was one of the guys that knew how to sell every single finisher...

  • I was there!

  • i'm so happy i was born in the attitude era. its a shame how the title is given out. it's the same people winning it and shit gets even more boring. this is how its suppose to be: (during raw is war) the rock defends his championship belt against mankind tonight on raw. nowadays: john cena vs cm punk for the championship at summerslam. shits not the same anymore :(

  • @xdivision100 you are an idiot. plain and simple. if you want me to explain i will. i just shouldnt have to.

  • @xdivision100 that is because right now wwe doesn`t have any more stars... with Edge`s retirement and Triple H working part time they don`t have any more guys to put the title on... the fact that Mark Henry and now Bryan (what...??) were given the belt is a huge "hint" of that... and this is also why Cena is already a 12 times champion, a fact that i think it`s the most ridiculous thing in the history of wrestling... one more time and he`s at the same number of Triple H... again, ridiculous...

  • @CactusG26 I stopped watching wrestling for a while. i've been on youtube watching raw is war and smackdown, this is what i do on mondays and thursdays on youtube

    Mondays:raw is war

    Thursday:smackdown

  • @CactusG26 but unfortunately we already know it`s gonna happen... in a matter of 2 years or less he`s even gonna catch up to Flair`s number.... such stupidity is already unbelivable ...

the only thing i truly hope is for them to give Kane a MUCH deserved good run with title on raw...

  • Cena Sucks!

  • MANKIND,CACTUS JACK and MICK FOLEY were the BEST HARDCORE WRESTLERS OF ALL-TIME! THUMBS UP FOR IT!

  • Mankind loves pain so much he gave Triple H his arm to pedigree him with

  • i like chyna's reaction

  • 1:20

Rock: Right there, right there at mankind, right there.....

    Triple H: Shut up...

    *hits rock with chair*

  • Comment removed

  • "WW" there is no E

  • Triple H: "Haha, what if I won like 13 more of these?"

  • This is back when Wrestling was actually tougher than Sesame Street.

  • the top comments are arguing with each other

  • And HHH wasn't even kayfabe dating Stephanie yet. Here it is. The proof that HHH made it to the top on his own.

  • @JonLambert89 he just stood at the top cuz of steph

  • @youngbloody567 no, they weren't even married on TV yet let alone in real life. He had no more backstage influence at the time than most wrestlers.

  • Can def tell the last comment is from someone who's not a true fan

  • judging by the Rock's sideburns I say this was 1999?

  • @Silentmarksman1 HHH's first reign was in 99'

  • Iv seen Chinas porn movie and shes fucking good

  • triple h should be the face of the wwe even though it is now abs shit!

  • This moment would have been better with JR, of course everything wrestling is

Short-sighted by Triple H to attack him

  • Back when the title could change hands on raw and not just ppv's

  • @tee85 Three of the four most recent champions won their WWE titles on Raw. I suppose maybe it is a little more rare than back then but it still happens.

  • @tee85 it still does. Shit it changes every two seconds now.

  • @tee85 that`s because they had to do that in order to beat Nitro in the ratings... oh the good ol` days of the Monday NIght War... wwe doesn`t have competition on tv anymore so they don`t need to do any big stuff on raw... or smackdown for that matter... but they still need to sell the ppvs so the title changes will only happen on them....

  • who sings this theme song

  • @firesocks2017 My time by The Chris Warren Band

  • the first of 13 to come in time

  • HHH is my favorite always...........

  • this was the time when they started passing the title around way too often

  • @PeteMcD923 agreed but it was great bc it showed how many great performers we had at the time you kno

  • @3737jak And at least every single champion in the attitude era was credible

  • @PeteMcD923 like they give cena the title every other person?

  • @PeteMcD923 exactly.

  • @natedog4049 1999 and 2009 were without question the worst years for the WWE Title.

  • Chyna is hot in that suit

  • well yea by that logic i guess he is right. but i dont think he was going by that logic seeing as he said edge as a example as well. also lets not forget wrestling is scripted. of course guys are going to be booked to lose the title. there not gona hold it forever. the fact that they gave it to him that many times says how great they think he is. that how many times they lost it point is silly with that being the case.

  • @tyrone37 you right, he didnt lose it more times than he had won it, but he has lost it the same amount of times as he won it.

  • Did anyone notice when Triple H was setting up for the Pedigree that Mankind "helped" Triple H?

  • @Jman4Life45

    Haha, yeah I did. XD

  • when was this?

  • @deltaelitecolt

The episode of RAW one night after Summerslam '99

  • @sysvjbjr thanks xD

  • they should reunite the brands again and have just one world title. this would bring more prestige back to it and we could have feuds between many different guys instead of the same matches that we get over and over

  • Damn. Epic movement.

  • this is when it was actually VERY fun and entertaining. wish they would go back to this style

  • @Nyfancam01 are u kidding this production is bush league, the talent is there but you cant tell someone just won the wwf title

  • The deal is to understand, that the times you won is only underlooked of how many times you lost it. The Rock won 7 times, meaning that he didnt lose the title back and forth, as well as Stone Cold. Triple H lost the title more times than The Rock And Stone Cold put together. Dont judge a true champ on how many times he's won it, because the number of times he lost is one ahead!!! Edge won it 9 times, and lost it 10.

  • @macdeezy2915 how can you lose somthing more times then you had somthing? lol

  • well he's right...if you consider that one if triple h's title reigns was a fluke..bishoff gave him world heavy weight championship as present..he didnt beat any1 to win it!! so triple h did lose title more than he won it

  • @TheBestEVER4LIFE

Bischoff deemed Triple H as the World Heavyweight Champion because he was the #1 Contender to the Undisputed WWE Championship after defeating Undertaker the week before, but since Brock Lesnar refused to appear on RAW, Triple H had no one to face and was given the belt.

  • yeah but its a cheap way to win title bishoff should it done a battle royal to determine another contender to face triple h for that title...not handed over and disgraced world heavyweight title again...that title been disgraced so many time nash handing over title to flair in wcw then nash vs hogan in the poke from hell move and then david arquette...did vince russo win that title??

  • @TheBestEVER4LIFE Unfortuantely, yeah he did...

  • When did Rock turn face? He was a heel at WM15 losing to Austin and then was a Face in the summer. i can't remember how he turned.

  • @clockworkdroog84

Hmm...getting kicked out of the Corporation?

  • I forget which Royal Rumble i was watching on dvd,but Shane McMahon is one of the referees standing around the ring.It was a real old one,I can't remember the year but I'm pretty sure one of the focal points was Tugboat going on about how was going to elminate Hulk Hogan.

  • Triple H found a way to bury everyone..everyone. I used to like Triple H but now there is no wrestler i hate more. Ruined the business.

  • 1 to 13 reigns as world champ

  • Like Triple H said to Randy Orton before WM 25. He has never been a good person. He will do ANYTHING to come out on top. World titles are his life. Fair wins or cheating he could care less. Face or heel means nothing. All that matters is the W on paper and a title around his waist.

  • @KidShadow101 HHH usually loses at mania but wat he did to orton was unnecessary.

  • Historic night on WWF Raw indeed...this was also the debut performance of one Lilian Garcia

  • lookin back i still think what the fuck is this..a soap opera, entertainment or combat..i fuckin love it trust but why is it so good?? its like ice cream with a flake

  • i forgot he cheated to win his 1st :/

  • @BROO666 Let's not forget that the reason he won the belt so many times was because he was going out with the boss's daughter and this gave him more power over his matches but it was annoying how he would cheat to win or keep his belt but when it came to some stipulation that no one (I mean to help him win the belt) was to accompany him in ppvs he would win fair and square anyway.

  • Terrible quality..

  • I can't remember the last time the title changed hands on Raw...maybe it was Y2J vs Batista in a steel cage match a year or two ago...?

  • lmao PEDIGREE TIME. PEDIGREE TIME

  • The Rock is funny

  • was this the night after summerslam 99?

  • I remember this, Steve Austin wouldn't drop the title to the game the night before so instead he dropped it to mankind and mankind lost it here. Still you cant hate austin for that. I mean austin really put triple h over at the start of 2001

  • @alexnzxVersion2

This was in 1999. It was very unprofessional for austin not to drop the title to HHH when wwf wanted him to

  • @qua88 i find it unprofessional that wwe would make a top star drop the belt to a guy just because he is liked by the boss's daughter, thats the reason hhh ever got a push.

  • @alexnzxVersion2 At this point, HHH was not dating Stephanie.

  • @capngeeoff That is not to say Stephanie did not like him. I reckon Triple H and Stephanie liked each other before they officially announced they were dating in 2002.

  • i remember this!

  • the Rock:RIGHT THERE RIGHT THERE TO MANKIND RIGHT THERE TO- WHACK!!!!!

  • 11 years ago today!

  • triple h=best heel ever

  • Now days om wrestling Monday Night you have as much talking as you do wrestling. Its not lie it was 10 years ago. The WWE & World title does not mean

as much. You going to have Cena, Orton, Edge as the ones that go for the WWE Title all the time.World title you have the same ones going for it all the time. Used to be that the IC Champ was the #1 contender but not anymore The IC title and Tag Titles mean nothing and either does the US title.

  • @hoopset

lol ic champ was #1 contender? Maybe in the 80s but not during attitude era. And in the attitude era the only guys who fought for the title were a few guys as well. The world title changed a ton during that era too. The tag titles changed a lot too. The IC title meant something then? LOL During this night Jeff Jarrett was IC champion. Yeah he sure was #1 contender. He'll later lose it to CHYNA! LMFAO

  • @AmericanNohbuddy

Well in '98 if you were the Intercontinental Champ you were near main event status, look at the guys who had the belt that year. But in '99 all of titles were definitely devalued, even the WWF Title, it changed hands more than 10 times that year.

  • @LChris6

Well since The Rock and Triple H were both IC champions, yeah. But I wouldn't say Ken Shamrock who was champion in 1998 was a main eventer.

  • @AmericanNohbuddy

But he was a lot closer to main event status than the guys who won it in '99 were.

  • @LChris6

yeah I know. But that's only 3 reigns.

  • @AmericanNohbuddy

Yeah, that showed how ridiculous the booking in '99 was, way too many title changes. Even the WWF Title changed hands more than 10 times.

  • @LChris6

But who complains about 1999 being bad? No one. Since The Rock and Austin were champions then.

  • @AmericanNohbuddy

Except a lot of people have stated that '99 wasn't that good in retrospect. Yes they were some bright spots, but many preferred '98 to '99.

  • THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME HE WON THE TITLE

HE WON IT ON SMACKDOWN vs. the Rock! I will NEVER FORGET THAT.

Shawn Michaels superkicked the Rock's FACE off that night on the 1st episode of Smackdown

  • @powerplayers1

actually that was HHH's first defense after he won the title in this match

  • @powerplayers1 HBK was jealous of the rock, and if you thought that superkick was painful, check out the one where HBK Superkicked Hogan

  • @powerplayers1

lmfao epic fail on your part

  • @powerplayers1 yes it is even king said that hhh finally realized his dream.

  • i miss those days.. the corporation ministry of darkness the corp-ministry when they join forces.. undertaker hangin austin on the cross.. the rock AND HIS 500$ SHIRT.. SMOKING SKULL TITLE which i do have a copy of.. HARDCORE TITLE.. when tag team actually meant something too STOP UNIFYING TITLES.. EVERYBODY was on RAW before smackdown became a regular show.. when everybody didnt talk half way thro the show unlike some wrestlers (john cena) When raw was bout SEX MONEY N POWER

  • These titles mean absolutely nothing. They haven't since the 90's.

  • WTF? Was that really Lillian Garcia?

  • @Brian112891 yes it was, i believe if i remember that was her first night (or it was close to it) she took over tony chimel...i remember i was so pissed off when they did it, it took me literally years to get use to lillian garcia.

  • Oh sweet, Michael Cole made this victory so much less dramatic.

  • this is when triple h was heel im assuming haha

  • This took place at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, IA. I was there and it was a great time to be a wrestling fan during that era.

  • Pedigree time. Pedigree time. Pedigree time.

  • lol @ the ROCK " SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND DO YOUR THING GO AHEAD"

  • "The Rocks givin nothin to nobody Triple H comes out here cryin like a woman!" haha

  • best theme ever.

  • uhhh that was shane who made the three count!!!. huh, triple h brother in law now.. i wonder!???

  • WWE needs to go back to these days. Cut a bunch of guys so they can just have one brand. You only need one mid card title so keep the ic title and get rid of the u.s title. Have one womens title, one tag team titles, and a cruiserweight title and most importantly one world title. When there is two main titles it takes the prestige away from them.

  • Its alot easier to be a world champion with 2 heavyweight titles. Thats how most superstars do it nowadays. And now they give shmucks a chance with that stupid money in the bank shit.

  • This was the begining of the end for wwe...as many superstars have stated that...

  • @Mr87LedZeppelin wat????

  • the game 6egains

  • makes me wanna play smackdown now

  • this is 1998?

  • this 1999 the night after summer slam

  • 99 night after summer slam99

  • what year is this?

    Gotta Love The old WWF

  • the way lillian said HHH she sounded drunk

  • Back when HHH was good!

  • @jacklegend He's also good now.

  • Awesome! My favorite championship moment!

  • i cheered so loudly for this triple h paid his dues for ten years to get to this moment than finally realized the only way to get on top was to turn heel and he took a huge risk in doing so and it is what made him what he is today the greatest wrestler of all time TRIPLE H

  • @TheRenegade1098 He's not the best wrestler in the world don't be a fool. The rock is of course the best wrestler in the universe.

  • if you really pay attention you can tell that mankind raised his arm up before triple h pulled it up to do the pedigree

  • HHH RULES guys so stop arguing

  • Poris5 where did u get this video??

  • # of titles does not matter. Its total time that matters. Who is better a champ for 6 months or a champ for 2 months 2 times?

  • @StarAdmiral hhh is a 13 time champion...but wait that dont matter...he has beaten everybody there is to beat. wait that doesn't matter. you say its the time...if you had to pick one person that was constantly champion for long periods of time for the years of 2000 - 2006 who would u pick? HHH

  • a champion who has the title for a year, doesn't just sit on it. They are constantly defending it every month. A chamption who holds the title for a long period of time is also beating everyone there is to beat. I know wrestling is just a show, but in real sports like boxing, they look at career knockouts and how long your champion. Alot of times in the WWE people with many time champion also have a long total time.

  • @StarAdmiral good point

  • @StarAdmiral , if that's the case, then that means Cena is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time................ yea try to think about that and try not to laugh. It's not about time in WWE. In MMA and Boxing, yea that makes you great. But not in WWE. Almost the entire WWE roster is more talented then Cena, but he's held the title for the longest, does that all of a sudden make him good? Not really, in fact, most of the time he went against the same people over and over again.

  • hes the best nowadays after flair retired.

  • Damn Lillian garcias early days, she fucking sucked, but man she was so good, too bad she left. Should have won his first title on PPV, this just seemed weird to me. But one of the best heel champions of all time, up there with Ric Flair, not saying as good as a wrestler, that HBK and Flair, but as a champion, a heel, no one really comes close except those two. Maybe hogan, but he couldnt wrestle.

  • the rock said right there mankind boom steel chair shot from

    triple h

    lmao

  • it doesn't matter 13 titles is 13 titles

  • lol at 0:38

  • 10 years ago today :)

  • wow when was this lol he went from this match to winning it 13 times wow

  • Technically, he only won the WWF/E title 8 times, the other 5 times was the Heavyweight title.

  • same thing he won the belt 13 times

  • still counts as 13 heavyweight championships

    8 wwf/e titles

    5 world titles.

  • Right, I just want trishfan2006 to understand that winning a world title in the WWE these days isn't as meaningful as it was, such as Austin having 6 world titles & the Rock having 7 world titles before the brand expansion, HHH only had 5 world titles. Look at Edge, he became a 9-time world champion in only 3 years, HHH being a 13-time world champion is just not that surprising.

  • @diamorious I am a huge Triple H fan, but I do completely agree with you. It especially became increasingly easy to win a world title since the WWE Undisputed Title became split into the WWE Title and the World Heavyweight Title back in 2002, and each were made exclusive to either Raw or Smackdown. Now there are two world titles to go after, so you win the WWE Title 8 times, and then the World Heavyweight Title 5 times, and boom you're easily a 13-time overall world champion.

  • @GenericAuthenticity Yes. You're right. I think the WWE should think about ending some titles. C'mon nowadays there's a title for everything. Almost every wrestle is or was a champ. Being a champ it's not the feeling of being the best anymore. Is just an object now....

  • @ShadowOfHell15 I agree, there should be one world title, one womens title, but I do think there should be both a U.S. and intercontinental title. But yeah having two world titles limits possibilities of who is truly the best

  • @samuell24 Yes you're right. The intercontinental and european title should exist for the newcomers feel what is like to be the champion. And the WWE or the World Heavywheight title to see who's the best. Not booth because in that way we can't see who's truly the best wrestler.

  • @diamorious i agree, the prestige of the title has gone so low, 10 years ago if you became champion you were the man!

  • @diamorious yeah and it took austin 6-8 years to win it unlike that fag shemus who won it the first time bllody hell

  • @diamorious you can't say that.. only the company faces win the wwe championship. so winning the wwe title means that wwe respects you as a headliner...being a headliner in the biggest wrestling league in the world is a huge accomplishment..

  • thats what 13 time world champion means the wwe title is a world title (WORLD Wrestling Entertainment)

  • Everyone still missing the point I'm trying to make, HHH being a 13-time world champion isn't that surprising after winning the title for the 1st time 10 years ago since it is easier to win a world title & the majority of HHH's title reigns came AFTER the brand extansion .

  • I get what you're saying bro! the world and wwe title now a days doesnt have as much prestige as it used to have back then and now it just seems like if you win one belt you've pretty much won both even though you didnt!

  • yo i didnt mean to reply to u my bad i meant for it to be to cybersunday07

  • it dont matter if he won his first 10 years ago. do you know how hard it is to be one of the top guys for 10 years? how many knee injuries he had and came back and won more titles. how many people can you name that are over 10 time champions? flair hogan triple h and who else? exactly

  • sting

  • yeah and sting but nobody really counts sting cause he was all wcw n nwa. dey only count if u got a wwe title

  • yes, but sting was champion back when wcw was the most watched wrestling company...looking back his accomplishments can be sneered at, but in context he's a damn legend

  • true

  • @diamorious Yeah but you do have to admit that Triple H was atleast marketable and was also a deserving champion. Nowadays we have stupid ass shit like Sheamus, John Cena, Jack Swagger...the ways of wrestling that we used to love from that era are gone and wrestling is now ruined with rediculous characters as champion. I must say though, I am hoping that Kurt Angle returns to the WWE soon. If he does return, then I may begin to watch it on tv again.

  • @Heavyweightchampionx, HHH was more than a marketable deserving champion, but the world title(s) is just not as prestige as it use to be. If this was 10 years ago, HHH being a 13-time champion would be amazing, but now it just being water down because how the WWE is. Such as Edge's first title run was in 2006, and he's already a 9-time champion, Cena's first title run was in 2005, & he's already a 9-time champion, Sheamus is already a 2-time champion in a year.

  • @diamorious

Austin won it 6 times in 3 years

Rock won it 9 times (including WCW titles) in 4 years

As Jim Cornette said "triple h has always been the guy who worked with the guy who made the money"

  • @AmericanNohbuddy, the Rock was only a 7-time champion(WCW twice), but that just prove my point even more that HHH being a 13-time champion isn't special, especially since it's been 11 years since his first title run.

  • @diamorious

No. Rock won the WWF/E title 7 times and WCW twice lol. I can name all the people he won it from lol.

HHH won his 6th through 13 titles in 7 years. Yeah it's not that big of a deal to some, but when you shouldn't have the title and let a young star have it, it annoys people.

  • @AmericanNohbuddy Man that IS SO DEAD ON!!! WHERE CAN I FIND THAT INTERVIEW???

  • @Heavyweightchampionx, when it comes down to it, people like Cena, Sheamus, & Orton are going to have more title runs than HHH eventually.

  • @Heavyweightchampionx

Ridiculous characters? Ever seen the 80s and early 90s?
