No, the shocks would bottom out.

  • Nice to see , You have been building this truck since I first came to YT. I hope to see it complete and kickin ass soon.

  • boring hobbie why not place your money in a full scale

  • To - @domains38

    Garage isn't big enough.

    So what are your hobbies?

  • @rcWizzard haters are going to hate.this thing is amazing could you ride on it if you wanted to?

  • i mean use a servo for steering but use a cabel to hook up to the motor

  • To - @alpinetype98R

I am using a servo for steering, and a cable for the throttle. Check out part 22D.

  • Is this going to be R/C?

  • To - @stuwkowalski

    Yes.

  • @rcWizzard how come you don't let it ride wide open?

  • To - @bogie98721

    Have you seen part FAQ?

    What's your Best offer??

  • just thought the exaust tubing could be easyer than doing metal piping its really up to you but.

  • To - @djdiligence

Not sure what you mean by "exhaust tubing".

  • hahaha at 5:53 ;D

  • is all of this hand machined?

  • To - @OXMDrw814

9 HP. Check out part FAQ for more info.

  • Fine Craftsmanship. Now to come up with some car bodies made from aluminum cans or something so it can crunch'em . Great Work

  • Hey u should build a quarter scale king sling thats what I'm gonna build

  • To - @MrZakerym

I have a 1/9th scale King Sling on the drawing board. :-)

  • Excellent work man! This thing is really cool.

  • 2 words - bad ass

  • That sound is just awesome !!!

  • skip to 5:44 for driving

  • 4 rubber piping

    What are you talking about??

  • @rcWizzard exaust tubing.

  • To - @djdiligence

    What about the exhaust tubing?

  • So bad ass.

  • Sounds like a popcorn maker going crazy.

  • Have you ever thought about getting like a servo for steering for the throttle?

  • To - @alpinetype98R

Not sure what you're suggesting. Or, do you mean a separate throttle servo in addition to the brake servo? Yes, that is what I have done since the last video. (22C)

  • if you adopt me i will devote all my time to finishing this project, but i'll still do work around the house

  • To - @jmloudon

Oh, sorry, I want to finish it myself.

    Thanks though.

  • @rcWizzard oh man, i was really looking forward to working on this lol

  • Wow!! I just finished watching this build from the first video up until 22B and all I have to say is wow! This is a fantastic build and the fact that almost every piece within this model is one-off is fantastic! watching that little 609 fire up really got me excited for you so I wish you all the best in a successful completion. I honestly cannot wait to see more updates within the near future. Anyways, do you have any plans on any different projects within the future once you're done?

  • To - @Steu022

    Thanks.

    Yes.

    A 1/8 scale Sprint Car(without A-arms), and a 1/9th scale King Sling.

  • how wide are the axles?

  • To - @jmloudon

    30 inches, including the tires.

  • @rcWizzard without the tires?

  • What fuel does that motor run off of? Gasoline? nitro? gas/oil mix?

  • To- @FlatwoodsDairyLLC

Regular Gas. Check out part FAQ for more info.

  • please don't stop I have bin watching 4 about 3 years and you will be blessed do you dry praying

  • this is pretty cool, but for the love of god edit your videos

  • To - @DaFlyinSkwirl

Why, I have nothing to hide.

  • @rcWizzard editing doesn't mean you have anything to hide.. the video was pretty long and not a lot happened. the project is awesome, don't get me wrong, but less scraps.. get to the point in the videos, it'll make them way more interesting. Longer isn't always better.

  • To - @DaFlyinSkwirl

But, these videos are about the Build, not just the end product.

  • Can u adopt me so we could do father - son activity's like this!

  • To - @madkiwiinginuity

Sure, But, how good are you at pulling weeds and cutting a 1.8 acre lawn??!!

  • you came for min 405

  • if it runs a centrifugal clutch id be inclined to use some stiffer spring's to allow it to build up rpm's before pulling off , may help lighten engine load on idle aswell .

can't wait to see this tear up the lawn , won't need cutting again for a while :)

  • To - @THCmuzicalmasta

I want to see how it runs with the new Carbs before a change like that.

Mr Conley is working on a Steel flywheel to replace the aluminum one. Can't wait to run it with that.

  • well done sir....well done

  • One true Youtube hero. I checked out every episode of this great piece of engineering, just perfect!

  • I think this this an awesome build so far and enjoy your videos. i love following the progress you make and look forward to your next video. (cant wait to see this completed !)

  • didnt it say "FIRST RUN" not "info then run!"

  • To - @bennyx7x7x

Then the video would only be half as long.

  • Have you finished it yet

  • To - @robert77156

    No.

  • Man this is great, it's soo cool keep working and you will get the coolest RC car ever

  • Ahhhh ohhh shit haha

  • 87 oct? We only have 95, 98 and 99 octan in Sweden

  • AWESOME JOB so far!!!! That engine sounds OUTRAGEOUSLY WICKED!!!

  • 05:54 dont you have taking all this time building something and it doesnt work properly! i hate that!!

  • To - @xXShadowRejectsXx

That's what makes it more challenging and rewarding when resolved.

  • 5:51 - shit

    lol

  • How much time and money have you put into this, it looks very detailed and nice

  • To - @MrSnowrocks

Check out part FAQ for info.

    Thanks.

  • @rcWizzard ya, i did see that right after i posted the comment.

  • Hell's yeah!!!

  • this is amazing!

  • So is that it? Does it work?

  • To - @hpjunky70

    No.

    Stay Tuned .......

  • @rcWizzard Will do. That thing is incredible and it looks like those engines don't put out much torque. Not hatin though. It wouldn't be the same with out a true blown v8. Very nice job.

  • To - @hpjunky70

Yes, this is a "true blown V8".

    Stay Tuned ....

  • @rcWizzard it appears the trouble with running, is a fuel volume issue... check to see you have enough flow going in, to keep up with what the motor us burning... maybe a little adjustment to the fuel pumping system.

  • To - @hpiracer416

Can't wait to run it again with the new carbs.

  • I can't wait to see the totally finished product! This is just an amazing build! Most folks don't put this much work into their full-scale vehicles. You are a true artisan...keep up the good work, and good luck in getting it finished. I can't wait to see the totally finished product! (wait, i already said that :-P but i REALLY mean it!) The sound of that 609 motor gives me a stiffy...lol...so authentic!

  • What is it leaking when you have it on the bench?

  • To - @icer22x

    Water, from the overflow tube.

  • please post another vid your rc is sick and i wuold really like to see it finished

  • To - @thecaramelpeanuts

Did you see parts 22B and 22C ?

  • this is the coolest build ive seen, as a grave digger fan i love it.

  • Dennis Anderson would be...wait...IS proud!

  • It looks like the gearing is too high. When you started it the first time the wheeles went pretty fast.

  • This is great whens the next vid?

  • To - @s514skater

I've sent my 609 back to Mr Conley to be fitted with new improved Carbs that will address the stalling issue. I should have it back in a week or so, then will align the throttle linkage using a second servo under the floor, then fabricate the final engine mounts. So, a video with significant progress may be a while. I might do a 22C with where I'm at now, I don't know. I'm happy to say I cut my lawn for the last time this season.

  • it sounds so much like the actual grave digger

  • sounds like its geared to high

  • i know that motor hah good luck this is awesome

  • 5:53 oh shit ahh fav part lmao

  • "contact." hahahaha.

  • sigh, i only came here to see if there was an update.... now i have to trawl through the comments to find out what the top two uttered...

    damn you OCD!! ;-)

  • I've been following this since the first video and this is the first time I knew you weren't Conley himself. Fail -_-

  • once this is done, you should run it on monster jam.

  • thats nice man...!

  • You Are Dedicated To This, But Why? Ohh and When Do you Think You Will Complete This Project?

  • To - @man9018

Question 1) I'm the type of person that doesn't give up! 2) From previous experience, I've learned it's best Not to answer this one.

  • @rcWizzard Lol were just exited to see that little monster running over some rc cars :P I've been following your project since you started it and last month I saw an article about it n an RC magazine! GREAT JOB, MAN!

  • @rcWizzard Thanks for the Responce. Good luck With This. And I Speek for Evreyone When i Say Thank You For you Uploading Videos, Not only Taking Time Out of Your Project But Showing Youtube Your Opinion with Your Viewers.Aswell as Keeping Us Informed What Is Happening With This Beautiful Beast of a Machine. Thanks Again For The Responce!

  • when will you post your next video? :D huge fan! ;)

  • To - @2009eirik

  • @rcWizzard sounds good! ;) can't wait! :D

  • Dude, you are seriously nuts in the good way! lol that thing is amazing! I would probably cringe if I knew the amount of money and time that has been put into it but it looks stunning as a Auto tech seeing all those parts shrunk is amazing! Has Dennis Anderson seen this mini digger yet!? Again, amazing!!

  • To - @MrBigfoot1979

    Thanks man.

Yes, Dennis has seen it. I have his autograph on the roof. :-)

  • @rcWizzard Its amazing how they are built that small

  • a wonderfull job you did since the very first video I saw ! congratulations! a very nice Hobby!

  • I've been watching you're channel on 1/4 scale Grave digger sense you started and truly it's a labor of love for you're hobby . I might suggest more reduction in the drive train . The engine doesn't seem to have enough torque . Great work I can't wait to see more vids.

  • To - @jeepmack

Agreed, but Much easier said than done.

  • been waiting for years for this

  • how much was the motor

  • To - @Rjellycrf

    Check out video part FAQ

  • oh man im so excited!!! been following you for about 3years!!! im even thinking about investing in you...

  • @rcWizzard that is what i would do also

  • do you already have a system for the throttle or are you still trying to think of one?

  • To - @MadCow10123

I'm going with (and working on) a second servo mounted under the floor, then a cable or link to a pivot that will have a link to the carbs.

  • that's a fast mo fo

  • Were did you get your back axle from

  • To - @SuperKtmracing

I made it with a Smithy 3 in 1 lathe.

  • I want more

  • ur a genius dude

  • funny how this is the 1 where he drives it and it has soo many more views

  • Just sounds so fantastic! I love it.

  • maybe 93 pump gas would do better in a supercharge high compression setup like you have not 87

  • To - @lt1kevin

    The builder recommends 87.

  • Sorry for my bad English,

Mate!!...its very beautiful that you make, I think that the engine needs to worm before run! First of all I like that you enjoy this building and you doing this with taste and in my opinion that's the important. So don't worry about problems, i think you find the key and finish this, ready to run!

  • how fast u think it will go

  • To - @firmclock

    I want torque not speed.

  • @rcWizzard im actually really intrigued by this build. one of the coolest things ive see on youtube. at the end of the video you were talking about a problem with the motor, how durable are those motors? also...it doesnt seem like it has a lot of HP, i noticed you said you want torque, how much torque can it put out at full throttle?? i was just curious because it seems like that little motor will be working hard to move that big chassis.

  • To - @dnvrldrdg70

This is one of the first engines delivered by the builder. So it's to early to answer some of your questions. HP is 9, don't know the torque rating.

  • @rcWizzard I seriously doubt that's anywhere near 9 hp, any 100cc Asian moped is around that same figure (9hp) and is easily capable of carying it's own 100kg weight and several people on top and still do 40mph. Gary must be rating his engines theoretically because from all the movies i've seen on this little engine being utilized none are very convincing power-wise. A more reasonable guess would be 1-2hp and next to no torque. If torque is what you want you should go for brushless electric.

  • To - @poopalarge

No, he built a Dyno-Tester for his engines.

I don't want an electric motor in a Scale Grave Digger.

  • To - @dnvrldrdg70

    Stay tuned...

  • Mate!!....totally amazing, to have the time and patients to do something like this just blows me away.can't wait to see it at some show , the kiddies will love it.....so will most of the blokes who see it.....top work mate.

  • Been following for a long time but I mean wow, this is just...god, how much money have you put into this?

I just can't see any point after all this, I would expect you could buy a beat up old used car for what you've spent.

  • To - @M0nk3m4n

But all I'd have is a beat up old used car. Who wants that??!!

Dude, it's called a HOBBY. You know, something you enjoy doing!

  • and i thought mt revo was freaking awesome......smh

  • gonna need some reduction in the t-case

  • aww its so cute =D

  • this future beast is one of my dreams, if one day you sell it say me :D

    lol

  • yo i think its badass and its almost like a how to. ill tell you right now i wouldnt even know where to start. but when you finish it or if you have one day you need to build one you can get in and drive. like 1/3 scale i dont know exactly.

  • coolest thing i ever saw i love it keep building

  • @rcWizzard hey ignore the haters dude they are just pissed because they will never be able to build anything similar to this that is why they don't want to watch step by step vids, nice job on the truck btw looks epic so far.

  • This project just became pointless once i found out THE DAMN TRUCK IS 2WD! HOW IS IT TO SCALE WHEN ITS A OVERSIZED GO KART FOR $10k?

  • To - @yzfrone

Yeah right, a Go-Kart with a Monster Truck chassis, a Grave Digger body and a Supercharged V8 Engine.

What have you scratch built lately?? Unless you know where I'm coming from, your comment is "pointless"!!

  • @yzfrone So many hours and work put into this. Custom built parts and all. Who cares about the 2WD, just look at the work put into that, and respect it. Congrats on the project

  • To - @tiagoblanquet

    Thanks man!

  • This is cool and all, but im not even going to attempt to watch 23 or 9839289 videos of you tinkering with this thing.Just finish it and post something with some action in it. I don't really plan on spending 2 hrs of watching lame vids to play catch up.

  • To - @imacowtipper1

    No!

Dude, you just don't get it do you. My videos "are about the build" not just the final running truxck.

    Patience Grasshopper!
