The sony Mdr-ex600 is excellent, and with some effort online, can be found for 130-150, making them a borderline steal. MSRP is 200, which is still good, but not an ultimate value. Venting reduces isolation, but you would want to hear what goes around you when moving around, right?

Phonak PFE022 and PFE112 also pretty good.

@maupie1996 I have a pair of beats tour and I can honestly say at times I've thought most of the bass comes from the left side. After some adjusting o you can correct the problem. Try lifting your right ear with your hand from the top, listen to see if the sound changes.

The HD 25 is easily the most durable headphone at 170-200 dollars. It plays good no matter what music you listen to, with good isolation too. You can keep this headphone for decades even, since the entire headphone can be serviced and replaced.

If you have the money get these. Great pair of buds. If you're not so sure about these, definitely get the Bose IE2's. Both have great durability, as well as it's warranty and they both sound great. The Tour's however, has better bass than the IE2's but not by a lot. If you really like in ears, id also recommend the Klipsche Image S4.

Beats by Dre is literally considered a joke by audiophilics. Check out head-fi.com. Beats is insanely overpriced sound-wise. It may be asthetically pleasing, but in the long run ( sound ) it falls behind in just about every way. It really is just a marketing scheme with dre's name on it. I like bass,but not OVERBLOWN bass You obviously don't have much experience with sound, especially with bass. I have to admit, Beats have loads of bass, but what is quantity without quality? Bose does do some efforts in trying to balance it out ( not saying they do a good job ) but atleast they overcome the dre line

Bass by itself is NOT goodIt's even worse when the bass is untame and messy. A good headphone layers the trebles and the mids so that it is atleast moderately balanced
