@lintym No, its a cover version as written within the videos description. BTW: This is one of the songs the original Flying Pickets sang. There are several groups around calling themselves the Flying Pickets, but all of them are by far not that excellent as the real Pickets were in the 80th.

I've been singing this song in the shower since I was about 8! My sister went to a Flying Pickets concert with Dad back in the mid to late 80's, & used to play their music on tape, so it's been stuck in my head for what seems like my whole life!

Wish I could find the original!

This is great - really as good as the pickets version. I think the song was written by Rick Lloyd - I wonder if he has seen this version?

Yes, this is one of the songs Lloyd wrote for the pickets. It was on their fantastic Lost Boys album from 1984.
