I love how in the last verse one of the vocals comes in just a moment late on the word "heart " in the line "...close to my heart" (@ 2:17). I think it was an error left in intentionally by the producer because it is also just a bit off key and makes it sound like the singer's voice is actually breaking (from real heartbreak). Wonderful! Well, I was a young romantic when it was on AM radio. Anyway, always loved the song. Thanks for the memories!

One of the most beautiful love songs to come out in the 1960's. This song was a huge hit in Europe and the rest of the world. It was not a wasted song. I met my first true love listening to this song way back in 1965.We were both young teenagers in middle school and loved this song so much. Mike Smith was so a wonderful singer. This is my favorite DC5 song. I miss Mike Smith so much.
