I just wish you'd done this with your left hand so we could mirror it. There's a lot in here we didn't learn, like using both hand to go in the same direction, and it's near impossible to follow along when it's on the opposite side from our point of view.

Ode to Joy, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, the Hallelujah Chorus; these would all qualify as songs everyone (who would want to learn to conduct) knows. The Starbucks Banner doesn't.

Thank you very much for posting these videos! I am a junior in high school and every once in a while, my choir teacher will have me help lead the class when she is away. I always had a lot of trouble because I didn't know how to conduct. I went on an online search for some kind of tutorial and I came across this one. It was very informative and I feel that I can now go in front of my class with confidence! :)

Of course i would tell something.

Never cut off with a crab! The time you need with this cutoff is exactly the time you musicians will spend in. Do you want so less precision?

Lack of tapping line (all points has to be on the same imaginary table or timbal). The precision will be thankful;

... And the area of this line has to be much more down than on these videos: normally slightly downside the navel. This signifies to the singers (this works with musicians too) that singing involves the whole (upper part of the) body.

Then i would never call staccato "interpretation". This is articulation.

But nevertheless, these videos could awake vocations, and that is really a great point!
