I have two mics, a USB one and one that just plugs-in to the mic thing l8

The USB one worked for me, while the other didn't...so...If you don't have USB then i recommend getting one.

i am using desmume, i am at the blowing out the candles and illuminate, i use the mic (speaking) but i cant blow them out, my mic is built in, so how can i make this work or does anyone know where i can get some 8 bit sound files, that make blowing noises

@master6339 on desmume, you can use a button to blow.. go to config>microphone settings, and select use internal noise sample. now go back to config>hotkey config and you can now set the button for the microphone! it also works for calling out, like in this video. but it works for blowing out candles too!

omfg thank u so much if u dont have a mic then open desmume and go to config and click on mic setting and click on (use internal noise sample) then go to hot key config

and on the mic option put on the button g after that just hold g and it will work good luck

@zacary01 I assume you have the same settings as me in this video? you should try the Desmume emulator it's way faster. you can only save with save states though and not the normal saving way of every game.

go to "Config" then "Microphone Setting"

then tick the very first circle as in the very top one and ther you go ur mic will now work :D

this worked perfectly in both using the microphone and blowing out the candels

on desmume if you replace the microphone button on the hotkey to a button you use in the game, such as "H" then it works if you just hold down the button. it did not work to put the microphone on a button that you don't use in the game like "space"

@farre4 haha that's right! after beating this game on no$gba, I started spirit tracks on desmume. I also used the hotkey button because i hate blowing all the time :P also desmume is way faster!

@crcolon12 lol at the desmume emulator... you can go to microphone settings, and use an internal microphone sample, you can set it to a certain key too! like when you press shift, the emulator thinks you blow into the mic :P it's that easy!

Hey, after quiet some time i've been playing this again on no$gba... This time on a better pc! I've come to the point where i had to close the ds, and minimizing the emulator worked! But i think that only works with no$gba. I've read that in other emulators there are other ways to do this, but i don't know how. If you want an emulator just download no$gba and you'll be fine!

The actual DS recognizes sounds because has a built in mic. There is nothing odd about needing a mic to emulate that feature. That's like complaining about needing a keyboard to map the buttons to. Mics are cheap.

haha, my solution to this was to use the internal mic in my computer as i dont have an external, so i just loaded up some Job For a Cowboy and found as much volume as i could until the internal mic detected it :)

maybe some microphones need software? if yours does, install the software on your PC. maybe you just have to turn the microphone's volume op in the bottom right cornor of your screen. click on the speakers there.
