@zeldaman7250 summon him in several battles and win, keep him alive as much as possible (around 20 battles will do the trick), it will rise his attitude toward you and either pay him all the gil you have or the amount should be 65553 or 1024 (it depends on how many battles you fought with him), he will perform the Zanmato. Yuna's luck will help significantly and those numbers I got from GameFAQs and a shit load of guides on the internet and from myself. There is no 100% for Zanmato.

i always finish the number i pay him with a 3, still i made him really happy by paying 3 times what he asked for to begin with, i never let him die and hes always had more than half of any money i have when he comes in. hes never used the dog or kosaku and kicks ass as a result. he zanmatos now without being paid at all sometimes.still i rarely use summons nothing really needs it now. they just to protect yuna as sacrifices now. i like zanmato too. id like to zanmato basik ronso and brother

ok guys i will now reveal the secret to zanmoto! here it is... each time you unlock a circle using yuna... usualy around 30-40 speheres you gain a invisible point unabling yojimbo to zanmato.. you can make him use it for around 30k iv had him zanmato... maybe 3-4 times once but then he stoped >< just dont abuse it and keep training yune up oh and if you dont beilive what im saying then... i dont care those who do beilive me it will benifit you more :)

Zenmato happens in 1-3 ways. 1) summon and he does it 2) he does it as a counterattack. 3) its after and attack (wakazashi/Kuzko) I have found sorta a glitch to get Yojimbo to start liking you but thats another story. I could pay him 1 gil and he could do Wakazashi then after do Zenmato.. Gil does matter but not as extreme as you used your analogy.

@Golnax its not just money though. he will like you or dislike you depending on how you treat him. the more often you let him die, or if you pay him 0 gil on a turn, the less likely he wil do better moves. if you dont let him die, and if you pay him 11,111 every once in a while, he will like you more, and you will see zanmato more often.

@Golnax Ichabod is on the right, dont think you have to pay so much, with 10,000 guil and the turbo bar loaded, you do the zanmato against almost all enemies, when you dont have the turbo bar loaded is the problem, you will have to spent at least 60,000 guil and +, unestimated numbers, thats the problem, also you have certain attacks that improve your relacionship whit yojimbo and made he more accurate, and others that do the same opposite

It's actually quite possible, to all you who think it isn't, to get Zanmato with 1 gil. If you pay him a lot throughout the game, he'll start to "like" you. At this point, everything he does costs a LOT less. I've seen plenty of Save files that my friends have with a 1 gil Zanmato.

@Deathseeker214 technically, th gaurdian dies for the final aeon, but when Yu Yevon takes the final aeon, the connection between awon and summoner is severed, killing the sumoner. That would mean the gaurdian would still live but the sumoner would still die, and (because you have no money for pheonix downs) that is why this would only work partially.

I read in some cheat code -site that yojimbo gains morale when he attacks. Wakizashi (+1), Zanmato (+3), Kozuka (+0) and Daigoro (-1).

So if you make him use wakizashi all the time at the beginning, he'll turn out using wakizashi and zanmato all the time :D

@Miksy91 There's more to it thatn just that. Wakizashi has two forms, one hits one foe and one jhits them all, the all is +2. Also, if he dies, it -10, if you dismiss him without paying him -5. If you pay him less than 1000, it's -5.

Not to be picky and I think many would agree but I took the time to remake the legendary weapons from scratch.

That way you don't have the factors effecting you like attack power = %HP. or at least that is for tidus' sword.

I think it took me about 600 dark matters to get best weapon and armour for the three active members of my team. :(
