You say that you have "tried to compose others, but [you] could never finish" - all that means is that you haven't finished them yet. I know plenty of musicians that have unfinished songs that hang around for years before they are finished. Like growing a garden, give them the time they need.

Keep to it.

Thank you! I think I've gotten pretty lucky with the songs I wrote.. I still have to get to learning theory but I mean I just put emotion into it and this came out. I'm writing another write now so it should be up sometime in the near future.

awesome shat man! I just started messing with dadf#ad tuning! its fun as crap :) Im practicing Maasaki Kishibi's stuff! If you dont know him you should check him out. you could prob get some insperation from him. emotion in music is something he does well, and something you do well with the way this soong sounds. great stuff and keep it up!

Thank you very much. This one is actually in DADFAD - an F instead of an F#. its a dark, cool tuning. I've heard of him but haven't really ever listened to much of his stuff - I'll have to check it out.

I don't really know how to get songs on itunes.. once I get a few more written I'll put them up on a site similar. It took me less than a week to write.. maybe a few days. The one I just wrote took two days.. when I have the inspiration to write one it doesn't take long at all. I just hardly ever get that inspiration.

You got a feeling and talent to write acoustic songs,but your structure shows you lack some experience at composing,so just keep at it.

Try to make the song more alive,build a structure and then add all your creativity into it.

Anyway,for your first one that's a great song!

I look forward for you next one,maybe you can come up with happier stuff,like Rylynn or Drifting,that would be awsome.

The idea behind it isn't bad, but the way you approached is a little generic.

Try different strumming patterns.

This song might even sound better if you used a pick.

Thanks for the feedback. I've realized over time that this song is a little bland, compared to the candyrat artists' music. There isn't really much else I can do to it, but I'm pretty happy with it for my first song.

The next song I write I am really going to work on making it sound a lot better and have a better structure.

I use a thumbpick in the song - so I can fingerpick and use the thumbpick to strum/emphasize the bass notes.
