@AhmedHazuki Steam definitely has its flaws, mainly no phone tech support, but their are others. I've owned both Xbox and Playstation, and the network itself is much more reliable than psn's. There is party chat (cross game chat), and on top of that the voice chat itself of psn is of a low quality, it sounds very digitaly (I know that isnt a word). And xbox's user data has yet to be stolen, unlike a certain other service. Xbox live is just a higher quality overall than PSN.

@1996kostas1996 this is simply wrong. to get a smooth impression of 24fps in games you would have to crank up motionblur massivly... and thats still not enough for perfect smooth video. even the movie industrie discusses filming in higher framerates as the next step of development / improvement (because it would be possible with modern digital cinema projectors)

in real life motionblur is connected to the shutter of the cam... more lights = fast shutter = less smoother film (look@james ryan)

@1996kostas1996 The thing is you do see the difference when going to the movies. I work in the movie industry and the 24p setting is a pure aesthetic choice. 30 frame is used in tv shows and sitcoms. The reason why we need to have 60 fps in games for optimal enjoyment is that the frame rate buffer keeps changing because of the action going on screen unlike movies which stay the same all the way through.

but at what res I would guess you could not run it any higher than 1440x900 very high without lag. I am using the 9800gt 1GB and I only get 30FPS on high at 1280x1024 and the GTX is not that much faster

good for you. my CPU and RAM is still ok 2.9GHz dual core and 4GB of ram. I know it aint that fast but my monitor only goes up to a native res of 1280x1024 so I am happy (and it smokes my old dell laptop with a 64mb ATI x300 that I had to use for games all the way up to 2009 until I got a xbox 360 a new laptop and a gaming desktop).

@SjaanK85 It makes objects better to look at. You know how you go into a game and you see jagged edges on things like boxes, cars, houses and things like that? Well it Anti-Aliasing smooths all of those edges, but at the same time, it can drop your FPS significantly. For example, if you play on the lowest resolution, you'd probably want to bump up the Anti-aliasing a lot, but lets say you play on a higher resolution like 1680x1050, you don't need AA on, Idk why this guy is playing with AA on..
