  • First of all, your caps is not only rude, but highly annoying.

Second, it is Scripture itself that refers to Isaac as the only son, even though he was not the only biological son, because he was the son of the promise, and Ishmael was not. Thus, we read in Gen. 22:2, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you." See also vv. 12 and 16.

  • Third, it was God's commandment to send Ishmael away with the bondwoman. So we read in Gen. 21, "So she said to Abraham, "Cast out this slave woman with her son, for the son of this slave woman shall not be heir with my son Isaac." And the thing was very displeasing to Abraham on account of his son. But God said to Abraham, "Be not displeased because of the boy and because of your slave woman. Whatever Sarah says to you, do as she tells you, for through Isaac shall your offspring be named."

  • Now I HAVE TO CORRECT YOUR HOMILY!!!! ISAIC WASNT ABRAHAMS ONLY SON!!!! SEE THIS IS A BIG PART OF THE PROBLEM WITH THE "PROMISES"! FIRST PROMISE BOTH ABRAHAM AND SARAH MADE WAS TO RAISE Ishmael AND BOY DIDNT THEY BOTH FORGET THAT PROMISE LATER! AND GOD he was ABRAHAMS BIOLOGICAL SON!!!! WEIRDO IF YOU ASK MY OPINION AND NOT NORMAL TO SEND your child OUT TO FEND FOR THEMSELVES!
