Garden Trains - SD-70 USA Trains

I am interested in starting a garden railroad, and looking at buying a SD-70 USA Trains with Alaska Railroad livery. How is it powered through wiring or through remote control with USA trains? Also looking at GP 38-2 Diesel and GP9 Locomotive from USA trains.

they are not all air hoses. the line nearest the coupler is the only one that carries air. the rest are MU (multiple unit) cables.

All CSX and NS locomotives have flashing ditch lights thats a fact. All UP and BNSF locomotives i've seen don't for some reason. Must not be required out west?

A reply for that, is that if you live in CANADA! or in some areas in the states where diverse trains run. Flashing ditch lights that go back and forth dont apply with each and every SD-70
