@PaulPeirceFan Since I only visit once and a while, I would think quite a few. Given that both NS & CP (and the occasional NYS&W) run into and out of Binghamton, I would say 15-20 daylight trains and maybe more. Mornings tend to be busy. Steve
The Utica line from Chenango Forks to Sherburne NY is "out of service". The Syracuse line from Chenango Forks to Syracuse is open.Interchanges with CSXT is done in both Syracuse and Utica NY.
@elirosen1391 It may very well be up in and around Binghamton. As for down where I live in the Bethlehem, Pa area it's hit or miss on daylight runs. We see the 38T/Z coming down in the morning hours frequently like every other day or so. On the 39Z that usually comes back to Bethlehem in the late afternoon, ties down and another crew takes it north sometime very early morning or occasionally right after daybreak. Again, not a regular schedule in my area. Steve
@jmanz I'm sure your right, however, the dispatcher made it very clear that the train symbol was 311. Myself and another heard the train calling signals and dispatcher discussions calling 311. I'm not sure about what was going on that day. Thanks for the comment. Steve
@hdskullfire2: Thanks Steve. It looks very much like a AYMO/MOAY, with the BNSF power and autoracks; I know that it used to be NS 938/939 but then they changed it.
@stormchaser67401 Yea we waited for some time on the 205... NS & CP coordination was non-existant later in the day. Looks like CP messed up that day and made the crew of the 205 wait and wait and wait. The crew of the H1G was told to do one thing by NS, the crew of the 205 was told CP was being contacted to find out if they had a pick-up. The NS dispatcher ended up apologizing for something that was in CP's court. We left once we heard they would be delayed waiting for the cars. Steve
Awesome stuff always!

As far as i know the line is still open. NYS&W is still interchanging with CSX on a regular basis.

wait- I thought the NYS&W line from Binghamton to Utica was abandoned after the floods of 2006! The rails have been paved over in a couple of places

That first train is CP 931/NS 31T which runs from Harrisburg/Enola, PA to Montreal Canada with CN haulage and NS tonnage.

Great video! Is the CP 205 the symbol that the MOAY/AYMO turns into after Mohawk Yard?
CPManJoe 1 year ago
@CPManJoe I'm not sure on that. But someone might hopefully might chime in with that information. I will see what I can find out. Steve

Great videos and catches Steve, I hope to meet you in Bethlehem again one of these days.

Very nice video. Too bad the 250 (BNSF) engines had to wait for extra cars as that would have been agood addition to your video.
