  • @CTAT98 it makes mee dizzy too @_@

  • @CTAT98 it makes me dizzy too

  • You can see where the people who make the new doctor. who got there idea for there vortex. Series 1-4 vortex look nearly the same except for colour.

  • Between the Movie and the Series... the Series wins.

  • hmm... I should actually START to watch this show...It actually kinda looks cool...

  • And guys about the wormhole discussion it's a freaking tv show not a documentary. There is a reason it's called science fiction. Get over it.

  • @FXGuy

Listen man sg-1 was the best atlantis was good because they were both similar in character chemistry and humor but stargate universe doesn't work as a stargate series. Granted it is a good show but it isn't a stargate series. It barely involves the stargate at all. It is just another fail battlestar galactic type series.

  • I didn't like SG1 very much (maybe it's because I started watching it halfway through), but I liked Atlantis and love Universe. Thanks for uploading this.

  • Stargate Wormhole - Watch popular TVShows at W W W . TV-Vide . NET

  • Then How Ra's Mask went in to his flesh not like his guards................

His mask retrakted in too his head...LOL

    How is he a gould????

A goauld is a parazite that goes in to the human brain.......how the hell he can make a mask that goes out of his face wtf

  • i want this.. as screensaver :)

  • The wormhole is the only thing I don't like in Stargate. The creators of both the film AND the show apparently don't know what is a wormhole. Both in the film and the series, they can track things moving in the wormhole, and in the movie they trace it through the universe. And in both wormhole animations, the stars are visible outside (well, they are not visible in the first part of the original animation).

  • And in some episodes, there are plots based around that a wormhole goes through a star and such. You get a wormhole when you fold space upon itself, grab spacetime in an area and in an area that is adjacent to the original point, and stretch them until they meet each other. There is no location in a wormhole that corresponds to another location in normal space. The first part of the original vortex is good. Those white starline shit makes no sense, nor does that rollercoaster thing in the end.

  • The Atlantis wormhole animation is much better, because it lacks the white shit and the rollercoaster, which not only look crap, but nonsense too. Although the stars are visible outside, it really looks good.

  • i hated that white shit.... thwe newer animation (Atloantis and latter seasons of SG-1) were alot better....

  • yep they dont..they are film and animation people. Not wormhole physicists. So get over it

  • I'm glad that they replaced the movie wormhole with their own.

That way, they can further distance themselves from the great original movie.

All this stupid series manages to do is taint the movie.

  • personaly i think your wrong. the original film was ok at best! i think it is the TV show that has pulled the film out of the ditch it was in!

  • The movie was never in any ditch.

And I can list a number of reasons why the movie is more than "okay" and why I believe SG-1 to be inferior.

But due to lack of space, I won't listing them all. But here's a couple:

Ra is a better villain than any of the villains on SG-1. He's creepy and mysterious. The Goa'uld are corny and inept.

Staff weapons are more powerful & impressive in the movie.

    No aliens speak English.

  • well it is my opinion that it was in a ditch. i love stargate SG1 and apparntly a hell of alot of people agree with me (maybe not all of them about the film) because Stargate SG-1 is the longest running sci-fi series MGM (and prob most others) have ever had! it is a massive hit with a huge fan base.

as to your reasons i agree with the talking english bit that is very hard to believe.

Ra was the same as Apohis and other gos'ulds just you got to know them more and understand them better.

  • Longest running AMERICAN sci-fi series.

And I disagree about Ra being the same about the Goa'uld. But that is just my opinion.

  • if it is only the longest running sci-fi in america then what beats it in other places?

i think for the most part we are going to have to agree to disagree on alot of things! lol :P

  • Doctor Who is actually the longest running Sci fi in the world

  • @ldspip Dr Who is globaly the longest running Sci-Fi, and its british, but i dont like it i prefer stargate

  • @ldspip i know this coment is a year old but the longist runnging scfi is doctor who

  • @ldspip Doctor who ran (is running) way longer.

  • about the ra thing...

hes not a goa'uld i think. i have the extended edition hes a... human/asgard thing both mixed

  • Correct, he is not a Goa'uld.

But he isn't an Asgard either.

Remember, there were no Asgard or Goa'uld when the movie was made. Ra was conceived as the last known surviving member of a humanoid race which wiped hemselves out (as was implied in the novelization) and used technological means to possess a human host in order to stay alive. That was how he was portrayed in the movie. The Goa'uld & Asgard were made after the fact, by a team of creators that had nothing to do with the movie.

  • Also, if you look closely at both Ra's alien form and that of the Asgard, and compare them, you will see that there are enough differences between their physiology to tell that they are two different species.

Like the gorilla & the orangutan, both are creatures with many similar physical characteristics, but are still different enough so that there is no way you can get the two confused with one another.

  • @ldspip lol

  • umm. If they were to use staff weapons as giant cannons in the series it would have sucked..espiecialy at the sgc with confined quartres..

  • @DuracellEnergizer I haven't seen the movie, but TV shows have a way of bonding you with the characters and allowing a degree of emotional investment that's almost impossible to pull off in movies.

I won't deny that the shortcomings you pointed out are pretty serious flaws, but nevertheless, the TV adaptations were one hell of a ride. I'm on season 9 right now myself, and I feel like the show has finally hit its stride. The Ori, now they feel threatening!

  • @Mertazord It's been a few years since I posted my comments on this video, and my feelings on the subject have mellowed; I still see the series to be a weak continuation of the movie, but I don't hate it anymore and I can even enjoy it if I view it as its own entity.

  • @DuracellEnergizer I agree with you.

  • i'd really like a screensaver of the wormhole. just...a continuous wormhole =p

  • thanks for explanation

  • i dont understand why the goa'gol die so easy when they are wearing iron shirts.. becasue of the energy weapons sure but SG1 team never uses energy weapons they use old fasion AK-47 bullets I mean are they just retarded or what? they shouldn't die and SG1 always shoots them in the body.

  • Rounds will rip metal to bits they travel 3,000ft\sec(5.56 size round) and military training tells you to aim for the largest part of the body.

  • Meh its all a joke really. But I like how stargate trys to connect all the missing dots or unexplainable things like pyramid gods etc.. thats really cool. Even religions where the guls are the leaders.

Yah yah i get the picture

  • You clearly underestemate the power of P-90 bullets. You've seen the bullets? See how large they are? You know what 1 of those bullets can do to a man? Imagine having 15 of those in your chest, even with armor from the middle ages.

  • I'd shoot em with my zat gun

  • Actually, a P-90 uses 5.7x28 rounds, created specifically by FN for that gun and the Five-Seven pistol. They are just a little larger than the 5.56x45 rounds used by the military in the M-4 today, but the 28 part of the dimension means the casing is much shorter. 5.56 = .223, so the round from the P-90 is almost as small and has just a little more power than a .22. Same issues with the .223 apply; it's been shown a bigger, slower bullet works better. P-90 is cool, but ammo for it sucks.

  • as a shaman, ive been through these and they are black, when i reached the highest level, i would then travel through the golden one's and that enabled me to go off planet.

  • as a wiccan i must say this is for everyone a bit different.

  • interest wormhole are different veiw milky way between second galexy where Atlantis base. 5/5

  • One: nice video. two: yay!!! first post
