@13loomisst What do you reckon is atrocious about this? (Vocal's bit wobbly at times but that's all.) Is it really that bad, or is it simply that you don't like it? If you're gonna put people down then at least qualify it. What have you posted that's worth looking at?
@fufuxake It's not a very nice thing to say to/about someone, is it? Actually, I simply lifted the exact phrase from your "review" of another entertainer, one who has a lifetime of successes.
@fufuxake "As sylvie2909 says, there's no need to be quite so uncharitable. Having said that, I saw them last night with Wishbone Ash and Focus. They were absolutely atrocious. (Clearly exemplified by the above.) Sorry Tony, you may have been "good" once and provided for the needs of the late 60s, early 70s quite successfully but you haven't stood the test of time. I have to say that the performance last night was much worse than a third rate, spotty youthed, pub band. Sorry."
@13loomisst Ah, I think you should have been directing your responses to me, not @fufuxake. Anyway, as fufuxake says, you should qualify your comments. You're entitled to think that this is atrocious and comment thus. The difference between this performance and that of Mr McPhee is that it's free and easily accessible. I travelled many miles and paid £35 to see someone I liked and bought the albums of in the 70's. Alas I felt that I was robbed. At least I gave a rationale. And an apology.
I love the clear, crisp quality of your vid. The echo/reverb along with that sweet falsetto give a wonderful, dreamy feel to your version. This song is one of my all-time faves. I absolutely loved your cover! Thanks Scotty.
P.S. Glad you decided to re-submit a new version of this. I wondered what happened when you pulled the original!
