no judgment of justice? against rogues? is it better to get a few hundred hp or mana vs eliminate the ability of the enemy to escape or strafe you? Maybe its there and i don't see it.

Judgment of Justice forces the judged to move at normal speed. Ret talents up the movement speed of the paladin to close the gap. Those talents, easily attained by a Prot pally who can also deliver the Avenger's Shield, are bread and butter in pvp for nerfing enemy movement . make them pop escape trinkets!

im a rogue at 69, still learning to use but i know tactics are everything. rogues are squishy but if u get the chance to hit first,, u can overcome anything almost,, still have probs with a talented prot. one thing that will definately help u is keepin calm. u can sap someone and stealth off and wait for them to burn up trinkets and manna trying to find u then strike back once their manna is about burnt and they freakin out tryin to find u. anyways, anyone on ghostlands relm?

@valepeno true. I've done BGs/Arena with holy priest, resto druid, prot wars,etc. They all rack up kills. The paladin however, has the second best survivability matched with first rate offense. I give tops durability to the Holy Priest.

If geared, statistically, a rogue wouldn't be able to keep up with DR, and a prot pally who is good (zap on ret aura when against rogues) will kill the rogue, even if the rogue is geared. Maybe when the gear of a rogue scales with the 40k+ health gear prot pallies have now will we see a good rogue beat a geared and good prot pally.

When you have a paladins DoT on you, Dismantle + Gouge, then hit Sprint and run, stay away for as long as that DoT feels welcome, then Stealth up normally and open with Cheap shot, then Expose Armor, then mutilate twice for a 6 second kidney shot, with inc dmg if you're specced, then finish off with a cold blood evis.

This is before the patch that buffed us protection paladins up. As you might see, his Avenger's Shield isn't instant cast, and the Seals only last for 30 seconds. Back then we didn't do much damage.

In my opinion Prot Paladins are my favourite.

Despite what people say , with their holy damage as well as reckoning they can give some good DPS. If you switched from retri to prot, you'll notice a difference.

You'll last far longer, but not be so effective at 1 v 1 combat. This may sound weird... But the more a Prot is hurt, the more effective s/he becomes.

They should go for garrote, then shiv w/ criplng, then kite rupture ( make sure u hav atlest 1 combo pt. befre kiting... let them use mana to remove poisons(incase they remove crplng poison. use deadly throw to criple them again),while u wer away from him, spam throw. and if hes near shiv criple it again, then repeat the process... Or you run away and restealth then garote :P
