Laura Bell Bundy had way more practise at this than the girls because of workshops and the SF tryouts so she was used to it. Some people don't have that much stamina naturally so it has to be built up.

understudy's aren't required to try and sound like the lead. they do try sometimes, but the point of an understudy is to perform the part as if they were the lead in the absence of actual lead.

Lauren might not do Legally Blonde tour after all. She was just offered the role of Sandy in the national tour of this past seasons revival of Grease. It would be a huge opportunity and better pay. Legally Blonde is a better show...but starring in a national tour as a 19 year old would be outstanding and amazing for her career. She would skyrocket to stardom.

in the show elle has a certain time limit to change.
it is a very quick change but she does have some time.

I am glad that she will be the 1st understudy for Elle and Ensemble. It's great to know she got something out of the experience other than personal growth.

Lauren might not do Legally Blonde tour after all. She was just offered the role of Sandy in the national tour of this past seasons revival of Grease. It would be a huge opportunity and better pay. Legally Blonde is a better show...but starring in a national tour as a 19 year old would be outstanding and amazing for her career. She would skyrocket to stardom.

I agree. She should have won.. I dont think she was immature at all.. Better vocals then anyone.. They can teach her how to dance.. Baily winning is great tho

lauren is amazing. yesterday she was in her first broadway reading and it was for Catch Me If You Can, with Norbert Leo Butz, Kerry Butler, etc. What an amazing opportunity for 19 year old her! She's also FIRST understudy for the US Tour of LEgally Blonde! I guess that makes Rhiannon second or something. What a promising future for Lauren, and she's STILL a teenager. RIDICULOUS! :)

I like her, but I still see what the judges meant by her acting young. The beginning part wasn't as strong as I thought it would be. But her voice is still really good.

Hey Layren is really good and soo is bailey they both are good. I love them both either she or bailey should have won and Bailey did win but lauren was also good so dont say she wasnt nearly as good as Bailey or LBB they are both Great!!!

i cannot believe she did not win this competition. she's PHENOMENAL. i love her so much more than bailey, who came off as really mean and self-entitled, like she should win this just because she's in a sorority and has blonde hair.
besides, elle is young and she doesn't act 22 until she decides to buckle down. that can be taught. that vocal power cannot. bailey is just so whiny sounding.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE somebody I am begging please post episodes 6, 7, and 8 (when it's aired) so I can catch up before it's too late and everybody knows who's Elle! Youtube has been the only way I can watch the show as I live in the UK but I am a HUGE Legally Blonde fan and I would anything to be able to see these episodes! Please, if you have them, post them!! Why did she not win? Lauren was perfect in this role. The 'she's too young' thing was crap. If age was the case they should've kicked her off earlier so their argument makes no sense. Why why why did they keep Rhiannon? She better be off next or else these people (ie judges) are idiots.

I agree. That "too young" thing makes no sense. Rhiannon is only 1 year older, PLUS Lauren is far more talented and seems older! Don't get me wrong- I do like Rhiannon, but she just seems more... immature than Lauren, you could say. So age shouldn't have been a factor in all that. Besides, what did Paul say after Rhiannon's So Much Better audition? "She just feels so young!"
