But I have to say that Mir's foot-lock on Brock was definately NOT luck. It was 100% premeditated. If you study the fight Mir does not throw one strike in retaliation after he was knocked-down. Mir, though overrated as a fighter, is still pretty talented.
On the subject of Brock, he's no Kimbo Slice. Nobody has put Brock down, especially no one who he outweighs by 40 pounds. Mir beat Brock because Brock made a mistake.
Oddly enough, that's the same way he beat Nogueira. Nog just had come off of a staph infection, which was a stupid move, but that's a mistake he paid for.
I hope that, win or lose, Lesnar and Mir bury the hatchet. Neither should underestimate the other.

Yeah and the opponents he lost to were nobody's.He's good, but not the p4p best in the world. I gave that title to Fedor Emelianenko. I was happy when I saw Silva move up to light heavyweight because thats where the real competition is. But after he won that fight he announced that he was dropping back down to defend his middleweight title. I would've loved to see him against Liddell, Wanderlei, Rampage, Machida or Rashad Evans.

Listen to him at 1:33. Nogeiria was recovering from a staff infection during this fight. So Mir must've been surprised when he knocked him down so easily. Fedor couldn't knocked him down that fast and he's a hell of a lot stronger than Mir! I also thought he was lucky to have submitted Lesnar 'cause he was getting his head pounded in by Brock! I think the outcome will be different in their rematch. Can't wait to see Couture against Nog!

You underestimate Mir, back in like 04 he was considered one of the top heaveyweights, snapping Tim Sylvias arm in half in 36 secons flat. He shattered his FEMUR in a motorcycle accident, hes just now saying hes back to his old self, alot of it was probably confidence. Nonetheless Mir is back as strong as ever.

brock is a good fighter... he has an ALMOST perfect game.... he has incredible strength and incredible speed... he has an awesome stand up game.... the only thing is... his ground game is shit... like the heath herring fight.... The first punch Brock threw was the most exciting part of that fight... the rest of the fight was just brock holding heath herring down.... I was referring to his POWER and his TAKEDOWNS... Nobody in the STANDING position has stopped a takedown.. and all takedowns are executed from standing position... and brock has a good WRESTLING ground game... but he cant finish on the ground... all of brocks fights with the exceptions of the Mir fight... were all extremely boring...
