  • piss company. jk

  • Copyright Warning- Do not Tape this because it will be shit quality..... :L

  • what PCoy OC or depot para OC at the time? the OC of the depot was Poraj Wilczynski, that particular PCoy OC wasnt with us he had left, and therefore didnt do it by the time they got too us about 5/6 weeks later, the new OC was a big fella, big chest, you do see him in the background on the odd clip, dont know which clip, (many moons ago for remembering names!)all the other DS where, the only name that anyone consistantly remembers is their PTI!!

  • DAvebrennan71 who was the OC?

  • It was Oct 91 all arms, I was there at the time of filming as a para reg recruit (570 plt), it was just before our build up phase for P Coy which was in Nov 91

  • This is defo 1992, before it went to Catterick before the army did the options for change, where alot of regiments were almaganated. P company went to Cattererick, after that. My dad was 2 Para, remember watching this on tape. To the guy that asked, yes one of the sgts on this was known as Spanner..the thinner one with the tache! I think the other sgt (Carter) was still serving a few years ago and was a Major by then.

  • "survivability" lol

  • Mark24875218 do you remember anything about the staff? Names etc? Always interested into what happened to them. OC in particular

  • Buy the 80s and 90s style Para training T-Shirts online from Silvermans, (these are the same design as sold by Duboras of Aldershot in the 80s and 90s).

  • To all, this is Aldershot in 1992, because I was on it. Fuck me it brings back memories. And yes ! i did pass. Left in 2001 after 10 years service.

  • @mark24875218 I passed in December 90. The short PTI was there. So was "catch me up and you'll change" plus the CO.

  • Was This When They Did Basic At Aldershot ??

    or

    Catterick (present day)

  • @1dealsin no such thing as basic training in uk army

  • @ftwpacman o I'm sorry "phase 1 + phase 2" i.e. basic. you still didnt answer my question

  • Comment removed

  • @1dealsin i believe its at aldershot in this video but not 100%

  • @ftwpacman It is Depot Para, Browning Barracks, Aldershot

  • @ftwpacman what do they do at catterick then for the 1st 5 weeks?

  • @patrickmaky42 phase 1 training is 14 weeks, that not called basic training, basic training is what the regular american military do and can then choose to train more such as become a sapper or something.

  • @ftwpacman ryto nice 1 for clearing that up 4 me

  • ok...maybe that's one thing i WON'T do when I join the army :L

  • LMFAO at "this program contains bad language at certain points"......really? Bad language? TheParas? nooooooooo never....

  • 02.20 At that point Robin Cousins gets a belt from me.

  • can't hardly hear the narrator :(

  • the second instructor sat on the bench AT 1.08 looks like my old section corporal Cpl Spencer [spanner ] does anyone else recognise him , he is obviously a Sgt now

  • Comment removed

  • whoever overdubbed this film obviously had no idea what he was doing...

  • Is the OC Adrian Freer?

  • I was 564 platoon at Browning 91. Not ashamed to admit it, but I shat myself doing the balloon jump and jacked. I recognise the OC did he not become 2Para's CO? When I jacked Olly Olson and Erik SeKwallor (sp) were in the same block as me, I remember on fatigues one day about 10 of us struggling to lift the sled they used for the Olympics, 4 of them carried it! We werent weaklings, we just werent as strong as them.

  • Anyone know anything more about that staff? Who was the OC? I know the PTI ssgt is Graham Carter

  • PTI carter barking out the orders. Sir your a legend!

  • @TheARMAProductions Cool thanks

  • could someone please tell me where the training scene was? caesers camp aldershot?

  • What year is this from|?

  • I noticed alot of REME craftsman on the course , cudeos to them .Ex REME soldier myself .

  • love the speak to the p company staff ,camera pans and the most scary men you wouldnt ask for the time in case they mis heard you are sitting there

  • haha this proves my point! i have done both and p cy i harder!!!

  • how does jumping around like a Jew of jew-rule-salem make your gun shoot straighter and your parachute open better?

  • @SecretTrollAccount1 you obviously havent looked into them, the paras rarely enter a zone via parachute anymore since the world wars, but they are still THE elite fighting force (some would argue marines are better) believe it or not its very rarely about jumping out a parachute and shooting..

  • @j4kk4j world war 2*

  • This must of been short after the SA80 was introduced. I wonder how the troops reacted to it

  • Comment removed

  • 6.10 wtf happened to his nipples!?

  • Sticky plaster to stop the old nipple rub

  • @S34NBR3NN4N It's so that when you are Tabbing, you don't get 'Nipple chafe'

It is one of the most painful things I've had to endure!

  • I was thinking about joining either the marines or the paras I was wondering what differs between the regiments?? And please no crap like oh Marnies are shite....

  • @07dowlingj well marines r amphibious infantry, paras are airborne

  • @slimcommanderable I gatherd that much can marines apply for p-company are 'earn there wings'???

  • Comment removed

  • @07dowlingj well i dont know about marnies but i do know marines suck. XD

    p.s. humor

  • Thanks for the upload, paras kick arse. That training is not easy. Big respect to all paras

  • moustache's in?

  • @alboy1873 i believe this was on chanel 4 in the 80s :P

  • That PTI is a legend :) "your being idle! YOUR BEING IDLE!! - catch him up catch him up catch him up - bend the knees not the back, bend your KNEES not you BACK, BEND YOUR SHAGGING KNEES, LISTEN TO ME!!!!!"

  • ''Bend your shaggin knees'' haha classic

  • You have to earn you right to wear the maroon beret, these boys are the best and will only work with the best.. I did a paras insight course and its is so undoutably clear that this regeiment sets the standard for all other regiments to be based off.. Except maby special forces..

  • Standby JOE!

  • 9parasqn, what was he like? Seems to be more approachable than the rest

  • @tomandsamuel he was sound. my sister died on test week and he looked out 4 me

  • YOU'RE BEING IDLE!

  • 9parasqn do you mean the bloke with or without the facial hair?

  • @tomandsamuel without facial hair

  • @tomandsamuel without facial hair. 6:56

  • the sgt pti at 7.oo was my sgt major on p company in 98

  • I THINK THIS PARTICULAR COURSE WAS EXTRA HARD DUE TO THE CAMERAS, IF IT WAS LIKE THIS WHEN I DID IT, I TOO WOULD HAVE PILLED IN BIG TIME. GREAT FUN THOUGH....NOT!!!

  • love how the commando took himself off'a the log run, just proving again that the paras are far superior to the commando's

  • @trimcatchris

Just because one Commando failed does not mean that everyone would.

  • @trimcatchris He is not a RM commando. He is a cpl in the RAOC who passed the All Arms Commando Course. Staff is suspecting he's faking it to get 2 weeks off before he's RTU'd.

  • "You better sort it out SIR!" The contradictory shit that goes on in an officers training lol

  • is p coy still the sme today as it woz wenever this vid was?

  • to say that pti's a short cunt hes a right mean cunt

  • I'm confused why are all these guys already in the army? You join the Paras straight from civvy street right?

  • @00JakeR00 You can also attempt p company if you are already in the army.

  • @00JakeR00 yes, but these men are not joining the paras

they are joining 16th air assault brigade and so are getting para trained.

to fight alongside the paras in the brigade you must be as fit and para trained.

90% of these men are not infantry, they are engineers etc bringing their skills to the 16th air assault brigade.

  • @critchley17 Whan the video was made they were joining 5 airborne brigade

  • @critchley17 This is prior to 1999, therefore it will be 5 Infantry Brigade (Airborne), known as 5 Airborne Brigade that they are hoping to join.

  • 1:58 that instructor is a legend lol

  • ROYAL MARINES, still miles better =)

  • @JakkKEEy no, i don't think so =)

  • @JakkKEEy Na mate lol, in the Para's theres no turning back once you jumped out that plane ;] the only way is down.

    Now thats conquering fear.

  • @JakkKEEy What would you know little boy your only 15

  • @TheEnglishBadman im 6ft 4in i dont even no if id fit out out of the planes door lol

  • @TheEnglishBadman noo hieght limits for the paras mate :) how tall are you? if you dont mind of course

  • This IS NOT P COY it is "Hat P Coy", in the Para Reg we do P Coy in 3 days (well in my time) with almost zero sleep for the entire 3 days.

This is a walk in the park in comparison,,, if you aint been there then you can't argue,,, these people will eventually become airborne soldiers NOT Para Reg there is a huge difference:))

  • @simplysi8 how heavy are the bergens they run with? coz i wanna join up after sixthform and i go jogging but without weight and id like to know how much i need to put in my backpack.

  • @simplysi8 lol I wouldnt say its a walk in the park I'd argue that its probaly harder than standard p coy, as its run by "real" para's. They dont want any old muppet to wear the maroon berret, so they try and break you and work you harder.

  • can't hear the voiceover. who is the idiot that produced this?

  • can you join the regular british army and then train to become a para?

  • @HTT458

you can join straight in. go off to the recruiter, tell em you wanna be a para, pass the tests, go into training for the parachute regiment, then BOOM! do some jumps and be a lad.

this particular course is an all arms course. this is where those regiments with airborne regiments within their corps can spend 3 weeks running/tabbing with large weights to jump out of a plane and where a maroon beret with their respective cap badge..

i didnt quite answer your question directly.. oh well lol

  • Comment removed

  • @HTT458 you can do the training yes and get the beret

  • Does anyone know anything else about the training staff. I know the pti is Graham Carter from Melton in Leics. He got the MM in the Falklands in 82. What about the Major and the other Sergeants?

  • the cpl who passed the royal marine course took his self off ha ha ha ha ha dont come to airbourne freddy frog ..!

  • @ILUVBECKS:

    Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

  • @ILUVBECKS: Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

  • i cant hear what either of them are saying from 1:00, their voices are the same volume. its shit

  • Anyone know who the Major is with the speech impediment?

  • the instructor is a guy called carter i was in his platoon many years ago he was a smarmy gobby sod then should think he still is MM my arse from tony 2 pl 1980

  • Comment removed

  • He deffo got the MM mate. It's well documented. Was a radio operator and was involved in the School house incident at Goose Green. Hope its not true about the RTA, he was a good bloke.

  • He was a PT corps bloke , when I done my PTI 3's in 97. He was a bit of a nutter tbh ! he was a QMSI then I think he comes from East Midlands

  • @theblackmafia71 YOUR A WANKER : )

  • Comment removed

  • That guy (the instructor) won the Military Medal in the Falklands with 2 Para, he was a SSgt in the Pti Corps when this was filmed. Top bloke, (taught me to abseil).

  • YOU'RE BEING IDLE!

  • wat the hell does idle mean?

  • Standing still, not doing anything

  • @ZombieDavidBowie BEND YOUR SHAGGING KNEES!!

  • wats up with that guys nipple at 6:00 ?

  • It's a plaster over it

  • @1MuFfiNz1

i was thinkin the same thing wtf

  • Thanks for the upload!

Lucky P company hasnt changed that much since this video is like 15 years old xD

  • "military training" - if i shout loud enough you'll understand me even though i haven't fully explained what i want you to do

  • Military training - Please elaborate and compare it to some other form of training.

  • @bodywatch1 - Obviously not served in HMF; otherwise you would realise that the military PTI will explain and demonstrate each excercise; tv programmes and youtube to not show everything that is incorporated into the training of a soldier.

  • This documentary was actually made in 1992. There was a series on Paras' training back in 1982, but this particular one here was a one-off concentrating on the All-Arms P Company course.

  • Lmao how old is this!?

  • it's from 1982.

  • Woah, a lot of those recruits look no different to the people today, and that's over 20 years ago!

  • I know, human beings looked completely different 25 years ago!

  • I meant with the hair styles and facial hair styles you smart arsed bastard.

  • So you weren't actually being sarcastic?

  • Yes i was.

  • Well done there then, you've grasped the 'attitude' trait.

  • it cant be because the Cpl from the Royal Engineers says he's been trying to get there since 1985..

  • i alternated it with "the paras".

  • @soldierside365 well its sometime after 1987 cause the guy at 04:26 has the SA80

  • @FeederAndSpurs cheers for the info

  • It's from 1992 not 82,

  • parachuite regiment is fully manned atm mate

  • thats why they've brought back the PRAC to pick the cream of the crops and not just any old twats who can pass ADSC

  • must be hard flling the ranks with today's no sport, x-box, alcoholic fatty generation?

  • lol use that as your excuse i play x-box i drink and i still manage to run to get fit im trying for para's its only hard cz its the best

  • lol ive got the same webbing that thye got :P..the pti's are great haha! :D

  • i got put on a charge for taking shit loads of pain killers, how they found out remains a mystery to this day

  • you're being idle!!! lol

  • Comment removed

  • nickrichardsexeter, you have to be serving in the army already, first you have to apply for pre para, then if your fit enough and pass tht then you go onto pegasus company, its fucking hard!!!!! took me two attempts but after i passede its amazing feeling! everyone looks at you wearing your maroon beret

  • i wonder what the officers think when theyve got a corporal telling them off like the last sgt. (?) before the two epitomes of ruperts take over the screen lol

  • bend your shaggin knees lol

  • lmao he like a fukin chihuahua

  • i remember this hahaha

  • what do i have to do to join p company?

  • its nt a regiment as such.. its wot the paras have to go through to earn the right to b part of the regiment.. its part of the trainin.. no other regiment goes thru it..

  • The Guy doing medball press on the circuit training is called Al Pearson good bloke who was one of the DS when i done me Pre Para , the PT Corps bloke is Graham Carter he one the MM at Goose Green!
