@bobbybob3680 It's an old video that had bad sound. Unfortunately I can't change it, just watch my newer videos, they are all shot full hd with 4 channel dolby sound. Scotty
@goodheadward Fixing your own car saves a ton. This set up costs 140 bucks when I got mine, so it's not that bad. Considering mechanics charge 100 bucks an hour these days. Scotty
@scottykilmer this tool is awesome, but no way did you get it for 140 bucks :P if you can get one for 140 bucks then I will personally pay you 200 for it +postage and you can earn $60 just by taking it to the post office for me :) This is a $350 tool, and that's if you get a bargain!
@scottykilmer So did you buy it a long time ago and now the price has more than doubled? Or am I missing something?---I can usually find anything online, and as stated the price is $350-$400
hey thank you scotty for helping us even thought some stupid people in here think they know more than you, but i will go with you sence you have 40 years of exprience not like other people in here. i have a question what type of oil i should use in my 98 honda civic, automatic with 194,000 miles in it?
I've been using a basic $5 Harbor Freight contact mechanic's stethoscope with success but this versatile Marksman unit simply blows it out of the water. And it should at the $300 range. I can already think of several scenarios where this tool would have saved me a lot of time.
Dear Scotty. People should be careful when using the Marksman listening tool device. I bought it for my slammed '81 Lincoln Continental cuz I thought maybe the water pump was bad. It was leaking everywhere. So, when I put the Marksman antenna probe stem on the waterpump, it accidentally got caught in the belt (the injun was running) and caused my injun to throw a rod and basically explode.) My friend Juan said the leak shoud have been enough to know the water pump was bad. But hes not a mechanic
@platypusone A probe getting stuck in the fan belt would not cause the engine to throw a rod, that's nonsense. And of course you need common sense when working on a car, don 't stick things near moving objects. Scotty
I'm a chiropractor, Scotty, and you have given me some serious ideas with this amazing gizmo. Degenerative joint disease in the knees is a really difficult thing to properly diagnose even when x-ray exams suggest it. I'm going to get one of these and see if I can 'hear' the difference between the good, the bad, and the ugly knees. If I can, I'm going to save a lot of time and money for a lot of people. Thanks,
@rayjobob Well, your ears must be functioning poorly. I don't say my name at the end of each sentence. I use my name because that's also my website name, and these videos are to promote my website. Scotty Kilmer
hey just wondering. do you still work on cars? i mean if you did i could understand all these different one (mostly mustangs) like i could see you tell the customer they have to leave it over night and use it for a video.
Just google The Marksman ultrasonic detector and you'll find various prices. As they are all the same equipment, buy the lowest price one. Scotty Kilmer
Nice video. I really enjoyed watching it. I am running a marketing campaign to start a large auto detailing chain corporation. Let me know what you think by checking out my channel. Thanks
Yes, that's why I tell people about them. Some people will always gripe about spending money on tools, but after spending a BUNCH of money on a mechanic's bill, they often will come around if they want to do it themselves correctly. Scotty Kilmer
the best way to find an air intake leak is to spray some carb cleaner around the joints on the intake manifold and pipes etc. where there is a leak the enging will increase in rpm because of the carb cleaner. just be carefull not to o this on older motors with distributors, as there is a chance the carb cleaner could ignite
dang that mustang sure had alot of problems injectors not fireing vacuum leaks bad alternator berings and even a air leak in the trunk ford junk! should of got a chevy!
can i know the name of the product?or which website i can get it?
