  • ok, so its not a bug? wow. asian people are usually never wrong

  • i would have never come across this bug because i know it is illegal to castle through check and would've never attempted it

  • This isn't a bug, it's called en passa- whoa, wait, an actual bug? Wow. O_o

  • there is another bug with the soldiers.

it happens with me , but i donot have a video and i donot remember how.

i only remember that his soldier was in (5,G) and my soldier was in (7,H)

    i was white ,

i moved my soldier his first move 2 moves to (5,H) ,then suddenly he ate my soldier while my soldier was in (5,H) and his soldier was in (5,G)

i tried too much but it's happened again and again

    my windows is windows 7

  • @ELSAFA71000 That is a move called En Passant, it's a move that is giving the chance for your opponent to capture your pawn. A right given to a player to have a chance to capture a pawn in adjacent files.

  • This is the only legit bug for Chess Titans I've ever seen. Everything else is some dumbass thinking en passant is a bug.

  • @lin2k4

Wow, your comment combined with the one above yours is fucking perfect.

  • lol I had that bug too ! I took a screen shot of when black didnt have no king anymore

  • When you touched the d-Pawn I thought... not again that damn en-passant guys!!!

But this is realy fail of Chess Titans...

  • Finally somebody who knows the rules and actually found a bug. Well done uploader!

  • first of all, castling is ovbiously when you switch the positions of the king and the castle. It is used in real chess games to basically put the king in the corner of board, making far more safe then being in the side

  • In case nobody noticed the title...It says Castling "BUG" which basically means its a glitch, he's demonstrating the glitch... So everybody who's talking mad shyt, calm down.. (-_-)

  • it skipped the pc's turn

  • Umm...why does it allow castleling to the queenside when the black pawn is blocking b1 and d1? Why programm a chess game if you don't know the rules?

  • how come u did not win after u got the king

  • @DanielChristy19

because they invented them and did not take the idea of other companies and "improved" it...

maybe "only" is a bit hard...

But you have to admit that vista is a total copy of leopard...

  • no, vista chess is not a copy of mac os x chess... -.-

microsoft, you only can copy -.-

  • i just could not stop myself from laughing after seeing black continue after his king got eaten

  • every time computer viruses in Japan

  • wow !!!!! eating enemy king was just amazing :)

  • Took the enemy king and black just keeps on going :O :O

  • the computer helps you to capture it's king and help you not being eated, cool!

  • l dont have this game on my comp can anyone tell me where to get it!

  • i lold so hard

  • my tip options is not working. any suggestions

  • As of December 2010 Microsoft has not fixed this glitch. :3

In multiplayer, the glitch will not allow one side to move 2-3 times in a row, however the illegal castling through pawn's check can still be made. In single player, you want to provoke an enemy pawn to reaching the 2nd row so you can castle through check. Sometimes the computer will move its own pieces, sometimes it will instead move yours, and sometimes it will spaz out crazily with error messages until you undo the previous move.

  • i mean Chess Titans is a terrible engine, but I think your program is hacked, or you cheated. I tried to reproduce several times, but wasn't able to. Also, Microsoft could never have programmed such a sh*t!!!

It is possible to castle through check in Titans (which isn't allowed), but you cannot move twice or even take the king!!!

  • @FCBsbiggestfan What do you mean 'never have programmed such a sh*t' ? They made Windows Vista didn't they ?

  • Comment removed

  • Computer moves black to start, then white, then black's king is taken, then computer moves black pawn, then computer moves white's bishop. hahahaha

  • whoa...so many glitches..

he castling-ed past through possible check

    moved twice in a row,

    pwnt the king

  • i posted to wrong vid:))

  • is not bug.. it's called "ïn passing" ( en pasant )

  • @m1ercur1 no idiot watch the freakin video

  • WHY DID YOU RESIGN!!!

  • Asians can do anything.

  • there's obviously something screwed up with the game.HOW DID U DO THAT!!!!

  • @ThomasUnivers01 I don't think it has this option but maybe they were playing suicide chess.

  • wtf=))))))))

  • LINK FOR CHESS TITANS FOR XP PLEASE MAKE SURE NO SURVEYS

  • hmm. seems to be a glitch. you can't castle if any piece threatens you're king or threatens the squares along the line of the castle

  • "Chess Titans stopped responding......"

  • I have Win XP , but i want this game. Is there any website where i can download this game for XP?

  • This happened to me before, but with the knight. after that the computer spazzed. how else can the king died if this video isn't real.

  • illegal castling, who moved the knight after the castling move? movie fake?

or a glitch in the program?

i vote for glitch. why would anyone spend time making a fake video....

  • hahahah wtf, i think the computer moved a white piece... that knight move... if you watch closely, it wasnt the human player who moved, but the computer!

not to mention that castle through a check square -_- ahahahha

  • bah, it's windows :DDDD

  • XD LOL

  • how did the rook kill the king??

  • @Threat360 if you watch closely, after he switched the king and the castle, he was able to make a third move (the knight).

  • Double move between minute 0:59 and 1:04 you made two moves in the row...

  • @7annoosh if the king and castle are unmoved, they are allowed to do that.

  • how did white manage to go twice? once to castle, and then immediately afterward, you moved the knight without black going

  • LOL! King castling over a covered square. Rook takes Black's king and the game goes on. Terrific!

  • i dont think you can castle over a square that is being attacked.

  • this has got to be on beginner

  • What?! Castle through check and you can eat the king? That's weird!

  • If they lost their king, then HOW IN THE WORLD were you still playing? : o

  • @TomServoW i have a tutorial how to do that

  • lol and if you eat the king then which behaviour will have the cpu when you kill his every pawn?

  • wow u can eat the king in this game?. . . . jkjk i have this game on my laptop (W7)and im just wondering if theres a download link for xp(our home comp)

  • Did he just take the black king at 1:10? Hahahha. Chess on crack

  • this game sucks, level 10 is a joke, any casual player can beat it

  • Does anyone know how to get Chess Titans for XP? I love this game.

  • also, he plays more than one move per turn

  • That's 2 bugs.

    1) The king can never castle through a check;

    2) The king is never taken off the board

  • That's actually two serious bugs, if this is real. In chess, you can't castle through a check.

  • it happend to me one time

  • you can't castle with any piece controlling the square that the king is passing over and kings can't be taken. Come on, disable this software and play with something else.

  • hey that also happned to me ! but i dnot know how to cast this bug... after iswitched king with tower damm dont know the turns name was it rochade ? dosent matter do you know how to force this bug ? ^^

  • This is not a fake, i got the same error, with a black pawn on c2 castling queenside is not allowed, but Chess Titans allowed it, after that Chess Titans moved with my one of my white pieces instead of his black and after my move the program crashed - if you want to see this error, try ty make Chess move a black pawn to c2 and than castle queenside...

  • Best of luck with japanese, I am studying too and put windows into Jap, and play chess is my spare time :)

  • hahahahah i love how the computer keeps playing without a king

  • Just think about it how ingenious this is. If the comp doesn't have a king, it can't lose. Perfect way of achieving at leat a draw.

  • no u cant kill the king in chess only checkmate it to win

  • OK...FAKE! Chess shows all available moves for white on each move, except the move where he moves the knight from between the rook and the black king. This is an edited game and no such error occurs in Chess Titans.

  • No... I think the mistake was that the computer thought he was playing the white pieces. The computer thought, then IT did the white knight move, that's why it didn't show the available moves. Then the black king was in check and it was the person's turn again, so he took the king

  • nope its real it also happned to me...

  • @smartin23964 not fake...happened to me tonight while I was playing, that's why I looked it up.

I castled through a check not really thinking about it, then my pieces started moving themselves and this "Invalid Move" spam came up at the bottom along with that bubble sound playing over and over. The hourglass was going nuts too

  • @shakuforever what level were u playing as

  • hahaha he castled through check and then took the computers king!

  • i dont understand the japanese shit xD

  • i cant understand anything of japanese

    O.o

    .---.

  • I have been playing like three times a day for months this program never did one single glitch.

  • I'm playing Chess Titans since Vista came out. Not a single glitch or wierd behaviour of the pieces. So yeah you are right. Same here. Video is fake :)

  • yeah vista sucks

  • Maybe MS fixed it in an update or something but it works correctly for me. Not sure about a pawn but it would not let me castle threw an area a knight was guarding.

  • Ha, dumb program!

  • Shut up.

  • It a bug dumb ***

  • Yeah..something sort of similar happened...searched google..here I am.

I castled..the computer moved MY queen and said I lost. Back up to see it again..got "Invalid Move" dink dink dink...

    anyway...Vista blows

  • You can only capture a pawn with the en passant pawn rule and you only have one chance to do it.

  • you screwed up program cause you made illegal move kings cannot castle through any square that is being attacked. It is an illegal move known as castling through check the pawn is attacking a square your moving through so it's and illegal move still its a glitch for the game not to stop you.

  • i tried exactly the same moves and that happens to me too lol

  • Hi, I have Vista Business, and it doesn't contain Chess Titans!

Anyone who knows If I can download this separately and play it on my Vista Business ?

  • Control Panel > Uninstall a program > Turn Windows Features on or off

    Check Games.

And all the games will be available!

  • lol, I wish I had taken video, but something very similar happened to me. I castled way late in the game (which is very odd for my style) and then all of the sudden on black's move, it started moving my pieces!

  • wait...what!

Why does it allow you to take the king?

  • Well... first of all, you shouldn't have been able to castle in the first place cuz you'd be castling through check (by that pawn).... right? And from there on, it gets fucked up and it doesn't register that the computer's king is in check after the castling has been completed.

  • You can castle through a sqaure that would put you in check. The only square that can't put you in check is the one the king ends on.

  • No, I don't think so. The rules for castling are as follows:

You can't castle if the King has been moved. You can't castle if the rook you're castling with has been moved. You can't castle if there are pieces between the kind and rook (duh, haha). You can't castle OUT OF check. You can't castle INTO check. And you can't castle THROUGH check either. Cuz castling, essentially, is just a really fast move. Look it up. :)

  • Never mind, I've seen it now! The king gets taken at 1:10. LOL I can't believe I didn't spot it. It was because the title of this video is "castling" so I was looking for a rook geting taken.

There's a glitch in my Windows Vista which is PRETTY creepy. It happens randomly depending on the pieces you've taken and at what time (rarely). What happens is every time you take a piece, the piece you used turns into a queen or a king. Happens with the opponent too, resulting in an impossible game.

  • I've watched the video lots of times now. I'm not sure what the bug is, can anybody tell me?

  • I've never won this game before. Please tell me how. Every time I play I get a draw... and all the computer has is a king left.

  • 1:00 LOL stupid program.

  • wow you just broke half of the game's rules right there lmao

    that's a funny bug

  • Lol man first of all you can't do Castling because the pawn is threatening the spot between king and rook (a condition says: The king may not currently be in check, nor may the king pass through squares that are under attack by enemy pieces. As with any move, castling is illegal if it would place the king in check.).Also after that only the white moved 3 times in a row even taking the king lol!

  • The first thing I notice it was that this castling is not possible because of that...

  • not to smart a castle

  • what level was this? i tried numerous times dude but cannot reproduce it. this is one for mythbusters lol

  • ???

  • youve got a slowly pc my pc can do this without diashow (dont feel attaked)

  • The castle glitch is right; you can't castle with a pawn blocking you. But in 1:08, White moves his knight then his rook, two moves in a row! Obviously he cut it so it seemed like a bug. The black pawn would've taken the rook. I tried it myself, it didn't work! Either that, or he switched sides two times.

  • @johanneschristine123 also he managed to take the king and still play on

  • Wtf lol

  • XDD Lolz.

  • where can I get it?

  • its on windows vista

  • This actually happened to me a couple of days ago. Firstly the castle is invalid because it move through check by the pawn. And then obviously the taking of the King is invalid. But later only it kept on saying "invalid move" and the computer started to move my own pieces.

  • Yeah, how the fuck did it allow the King to be TAKEN! LMFAO!

  • woa! nice

  • the bug that kray67 encountered happened to me too. but mine was just a pawn instead of a knight. anyway, nice bug.

  • thats not a bug if its for a pawn its called en passant, howver kra67 had an en passant bug because you cant take knights with it

  • did you watch the video?

  • yes

  • I was replying to a comment not the vid

  • aha sorry!

  • i think en passant only goes for pawns. technically the king was never in check so it would be ok to castle there, if that is it is possible to castle in that manner.

  • That rook was all like, "I'M GONNA EAT YOUR SOUL, KING!!!!" And then it did, followed by Chess Titans dying, awesome glitch, lol.

  • hh nice bug

  • ROFL!! I got a bug on chess titans once... nothing like that though... a pawn got my knight, and although it was standing on the square right next (horizontally) to the pawn, the latter just moved diagonally and the knight disapeared...

  • That is very interesting I play chess titans all the time and have never seen tat happen = )

    Funny

  • Comment removed

  • My tit-ans gameplay is better !

  • Haha something 's missing on the program coding!

  • NO, the casteling here is NOT legal. look at the chess rules about casteling : there can be no square between the rook and the king (both included) that is attacked by the opponent. although on this video, the pawn on C2 is attacking B1 and D1. Therefor it is a bug from the software to allow the castelling.

next, the king being captured is hilarious xD.

  • On the queenside, there can be ONE square between the king and rook that is attacked. For white, that's square b1. For black, it's b8. That square, and the rook, may be attacked. But any square that the king must pass through (or end up at) can not be attacked.

Just to clarify it a bit. And yep it's a bug.

  • Watch the video, the error is not the Castling, in a part the black King is captured as a normal piece

  • The error is still the castling, cant move your king through check. Might be because of that glitch that the king was taken as well.

  • It's a chess move.. "Castling"..

  • This is a normal and legal chess move called "Castling"

The castling move has some fairly rigid caveats:

It can only occur if there are no pieces standing between the king and the rook.

Neither king nor rook may have moved from its original position.

There can be no opposing piece that could possibly capture the king in his original square, the square he moves through or the square that he ends the turn.

  • yes but didn't you see that the white king was threatened as he moved through d1. Hence illegal castling

AND, white rook took the black king??????

  • You really SHOULD watch the video. Seriously, dude...

  • impossible !!!!!!!!!!!

  • how do i fucking download chess all i can get is playing againest the computer or online shit not against my friends on same computer

  • lets chat

    SOMEONE TALK TO ME RV

  • the white moved twice in one go?

  • how can you castled if there was a pawn¿?

  • I was able to perform this bug using a different variation than the one showed in this video. White actually plays 3 moves in a row, because the second move is played by the computer. Yes on his turn the cpu moves a white piece instead of a black piece!! In this video the move Nd2e4+ (1:04) is played by the cpu. Great work! Cheers.

  • Wtf, you can't castle if any of the pieces are threatened afterwards.

  • only the king can't be threatened "afterwards", the rook can be.

but you cant castle the king through any threatened square. the pawn is threatening D1, so that castle was illegal.

    and lol at the bug

  • does this only work in the asian version( cause in the bottom left on the tips its in japanese i think)

  • That's quite a bug.

After the castling (which is apparently illegal according to all the other youtube comments), the (computer) black player starts to move the white pieces instead of the black, with the (human) white player still controlling white. The black pieces don't stand a chance after that, as they can't move.

  • what the crap u ate his king?????// nice 5/5 favorited!

  • Ya...on white's side, the queen-side castle was illegal, because the pawn actually checks the path the king takes to castle.

  • (perfectly illegal in chess)

  • dumb noob learn how to play chess you cant skip ur turn

  • alright calm down my mistake

i thought u could skip turn obviously im wrong

  • I can't believe this video is correct. White makes three moves in a row:

    Nd2 f6

    0-0-0

    Ne4

    Rd8 e5 (finally a white move)

    Rc8 ...

No programmer allows to make three moves in a row...

  • Do you think it fabricated? I can see how the back program would start playing up when a king doesn't exist on one side...the programmers wouldn't really accomodate much for that.

  • LOL, the game is still going on after the king is dead. I heard there are some weird glitches in Vista Chess.

  • Quiero tener ese juego, pero no se me instala en mi windows vista ¿cómo lo consigo?

  • Creo que puedes fácilmente transferirlo en Google - ¡inténtelo! :D

  • where do u go to get this?

  • Lmfao... Umm... what?!?

  • Oh dear! It looks like there are just so many bugs in this.

I suppose you get what you pay for.

  • where can you download it?

  • Comment removed

  • Obviously, black is playing a classic game of checkers!

  • Well said!
