Check out a schlichten dog training school, they cover everything from obeisance, obstacle course, tracking and, hold an attacker. This is the type of training that will bring out the best in you and your dog.

I train dogs almost all my life for police dog or hash dog etc. What you do with this young dog is very wrong. I know I can't judge you but you ask for big troubles in the near future. It's a pitty for this dog that he have such a moran as his leader and in the end the dog will get all the blame. So please read some books or get some professial advice...

I've worked with many breeds in protection. This pup shows NATURAL GENETICS of being sound (stable) This is evident when the handler recoils his dog using only verbal commands.

To much pressure on a puppy. If you know how to "read" your puppy, and understand what type of temperament he has. You would train him accordingly. Then he could use the puppys strengths to excel, and enjoy the work. Not just corner him, forcing him to bite like this one. The puppy was tired before his first bite, because of mental stress, and insecurity. Puppys should have FUN, while building confidence. Until old enough for direction. JMO

@steelfan77 Not all the time, police dogs act in the same manor as this dog is doing. Your goal when training and this persons training are two different types. Right now the dog sees a threat and is acting on it. The fact that the dog returns on command is a good thing and demonstrates that the owner is working towrds his own goal of protection. Not to say you are wrong just that you have 2 distinctly different styles of protection.

Great but alot of people dont inderstand that these dogs are the most gentle creatures. All you have to do is give the dog a couple of bowls of kibble and lots of love and they will protect you with their life.
