@shon231 Erm you dont use steam for this, this is nothing to do with steam.

You didnt apply the crack files properly into the MW2 directory, if you do it correct it will ask you "Do you want to overwrite?" Then it copies the cracked iw4mp and it doesnt need Steam!

@SPECKSPRODUCTION When you extract the DLC zip file, you copy the Zone Folder into the MW2 Directory. Thats it. Then in game, you must pick Stimulus game type, right at the bottom of the list.

@isus222 there is no cheat protection at the moment. if you find hackers report them to alteriwnet for ip banning. i myself have not encountered many.

Otherwise host your own game, there is a guide on alteriwnet forums, then you can manage the cheaters and have fun low ping lag free games

Does it say Games Found 0/xx? If it doesnt say "Games Found 0/xx" then re apply the crack.

If it does say it, then may i ask which country your from?

This is separate from Steam so it wont work with it.

@gravemane start searching at around 90ms ping. You cant do anything about a high ping. Just stop downloading/uploading, close browsers, torrent clients anything that uses the internet while playing.

i have extracted the winrar into the modern warfare 2 folder then i pressed the alteriwnet configure typed in Hello as username then i turned on iw4mp, but my nickname is like steam:0:90399567/435:67 or something and when i joined a game i was prestige lvl 70, and i had wallhack and when i die it keep saying mode made by 2012 congrats on ur lvl 70 then i asked if anyone else had it but no one ad that so it wasnt the server -,- lol can u help me to play normal

Also for the Nickname, run the AlterIwnet configurer by Right Click Run as Adminstrator.

@Deurknopjes Never, because you can uninstall Steam and it will work. This emulates IWnet, Steam isnt required. So steam cannot stop this.

@PunisherPW1 you have the answer in your post "im in south africa" so you will be playing from people in the UK and USA most likely so will experience generally a high ping, and due to Alter Iwnet's over head of about 60ms you face a greater ping than usual. Not only that im assuming you have a slow upload speed.
