they are not that good. they could all use some work. but i thought they looked lovely and i would put them in a ballet if i was the directer. They have great potential. They were very precise and clean!!!

One thing I saw was what I call "leading with the wrists...." Ouch.... I like to imagine that it starts at the finger tips not wrists. You're not stopping traffic or going "Hey girl friend! or Whatever..." and doing those locked wrist movements... Or getting cookies off the top shelf and resting your palm on it. 'Definately not the worst offender. I hope she'll sway her arms full like the others. Don't worry I say it with no cynical tone.

My daughter is in the 2011 LCB production of Rumpelstilskin and is loving it. This is a fabulous company to be a part of, and they do a lot of wonderful outreach work too with those unable(sick or disabled) to reach a theatre and kids who would not normally get a chance to experience ballet.We would encourage any one thinking of having a go to apply.

I hope someday to audition as I think that boys in ballet is the best thing that has happend to ballet, it is nice to see a girl do ballet but I think it is even beutiful to see a boy and a girl together performing, that is what audience wants to see, more boys doing ballet

i don't think 508 is that good her feet aren't very pointy, but she is quite tall and thin which and has long legs which will give her some advantages. I thought that 507 was better but you dont really she much of her.

@TheGingergal it's never too late to start. i started dancing when i was 10 and will, Lord willing, continue to dance in collage soon. check out some of the pros dancers out there some of them started at like 2 and some started later then 12

i started dancing when i was 12. you can never be too old. if you arent already as thin as some ballerinas dont worry. classes are like 2 hours and u=if you work hard on being healthy it will be ok.

I do not like the turns done with the foot in front.

It just looks awkward.

But that girl is a very nice dancer - nothing against her. It's just that it looks wrong to be dragging that leg in front of the other with every turn.

I think it looks better, it shows off your turn out much better. And you get a very nice extra swirl during your change of weight. You should try it!

I know it's just a matter of style, they are both "right".

It depends on the school. Cecchetti (Italian school) has the foot placed at the base of the knee in front; I believe Vaganova (Russian school) has the foot placed behind the knee. I'm not sure what other schools do, but either presentation is correct; of course, students should be able do both for whatever the choreographer wants. :)

I think it depends on the choreographer. I'm being taught Cecchetti, but we place the foot behind the knee. Either way, those girls were amazing!
