Wow, this was done really well. The only other 'halo history' project ive seen that does this well is one done about this explorer with many references to 'red vs blue' (with some really good imitations of the voices). He also got an A. In fact, im inspired to do my history projects on Halo now. Ive gotta do Neil armstrong. to edit the videos like that is already included in Halo 3. Just create all your content and then use the movie viewing option in Halo 3's main menu and then when watching each thing record it onto your camera by either filming your TV or plugging the composite cables into your camera. Then upload your videos onto your PC through the camera and edit them using Windows Movie Maker (iMac sucks) :D

I did the footage in the game then recorded it using a small device I have connected from my PC to my VCR then TV. Windows Movie Maker recorded it, I edited the clips, and used my mic to record my voice into it using the narrate feature in Movie Maker.
